Feels like i've been on this for four months!!!! wth

I think I'm going crazy...how did no one tell me this

then....I have hope for the real month four XD

My face is much better today :D looking pretty good, still have to watch my treatment and lotion amounts cause

@DarkDubs....Yeah, I can't quote anything either! Grr....

Anyhoo...DarkDubs...the regimen is not a cure. There are no cures for acne, unfortunately ...but this method does keep a lot of the breakouts at bay .

Like I was telling Alyssa...sometimes, it's like 2 steps forward and 3 steps back. It really depends on what's going on in your life, what you might of put on your face (i.e. touching face with hands, environmental factors, if you wear makeup, etc...).

I sooo wish there was an end all, be all cure! But no.....but there is always hope!

Hi Alyssa, I haven't updated in awhile, but I'm happy to report my boys are doing well, fingers are crossed that it stays that way. I think they are on week 12 by now and continue to do the regimen just once a day. That seems to work best for them, they are staying mostly clear and the irritation and redness is way down. They do get occasional small pimples so it's not totally perfect, but they go away quickly. Maybe once the weather warms up they'll try twice a day, but for now this is working pretty well. They also started taking a zinc supplement about a week ago and it really seems to prevent new breakouts, also seems to calm redness in their skin. So far, so good.

I agree with kamiller that there are a lot of steps forward and steps backward throughout this whole thing. As soon as you think it's all good, new pimples pop up and it makes no sense where they come from!! When my boys look good, I pray it will stay that way! Hopefully by the time it gets to the 3-4 month mark, results will be more consistent with fewer ups and downs!!!

Glad to see you're doing well too! Keep updating whenever you can !

"They also started taking a zinc supplement about a week ago and it really seems to prevent new breakouts, also seems to calm redness in their skin."

Zinc? Exactly what does it say on the bottle, like is it a specific kind of zinc supplement or anything? I want to try that, heard about zinc helping acne.

@DarkDubzs.... It is Zinc Gluconate 50 mg. Check out reviews. Many people have reported it helps their acne.

I've been breaking out along my jawline, and I know it's because I'm resting my hands on my chin while in classes. UGHHH. But other than that my face is looking really good! Going to start incorporating the AHA because now most of my "acne" is the red marks, with only 1-3 actual bumps, give or take. It's looking up, oh also I got an 86% on my first chem test :D please go away stress pimples LOL

Hey Aylssa and Everyone! It's been a while since I been on this site.

How's the knee Aylssa? I'm guessing it's much better since you wrote that you went on a Hike.

My regimen has been going steady ^_^ my face is much clearer now and I eventually get a breakout because I don't get time to add the regimen the second time because of work but it looks A LOT BETTER than it did before, I want to see if i can take pictures this Saturday. The only thing you will see on my face are scars, but I'm been doing research on this treament called microdermabrasion, I really want to try it out.

so I been on the regimen for almost 2 months ^_^ and I love it!!!

I am glad the regimen is working for you!!! :D

My knee is somewhat okay. It turns out I messed up my IT band, which can't be healed by time, but mostly by stregthening the muscles around the tendon, so that means lots of squats, spin class, swimming, elliptical and weights. I've been doing that, along with hiking for the last three weeks, and was finally able to run 3.1 miles straight last week!! !I was so happy, it took everything in my power to not scream with joy in the gym LOLL..

WHICH brings me to the subject of the gym...literally before i had no self confidence. I was so worried about my face. Now, I just put on some concealer (still haven't put foundation on in over two months!!!) and I wipe my face with a towel, and I don't care what anyone thinks, because my face hardly looks bad. I even GO IN THE POOL and swim vigorously and don't care.

My face is about 89% clear, I still get the random zits here and there, but I really think its from stress, sweat and rubbing my face //gotta stop that habit. Sorry for being MIA in this forum, real life has happened, and these classes are kicking my butt!!! I also finally finished my novel, so I'm working on the editing process before sending it off to hopefully get published! :D

Yes Thank-you ^_ ^

3.1 Miles is pretty good and keep on doing the swimming, I heard the water helps better strenght the muscle joints so good job on that part. 7.7 Miles to 11.2 miles a day, depending if I have time, I know for a fact because of the Walking mate app install on my phone. I'm really determined to achieve my goal!

I went to the gym and Liked it because the work-out machines are great and I felt people don't judge by face...BUT they do judge you by muscles... well for me they did xD I kept hitting the 25lbs dumbells and people kept staring at my arms x P Have fun working on dem legs.

Also don't forget to just smooth out the BP on the face, even though we bgen getting use to putting on the regimen, a while back I kept on rubbing the cream on my face way too much and I got a couple of pimples around my lips area. I went back to just being gentle on the bp and rubbing it very gently or just smearing it and they vanish in 2 days so becareful on applying it cause irration causes acne > - <; A novel o.o really? woah that's awesome!!!

Hey Alyssa and everyone....I know it's been awhile...life has kinda got in the way, lol. Anyhoo...glad to see so many on here seeing great improvements! I just want to encourage everyone to stick with the Regimen...I am 100% clear and have been that way for a while now! Yes, I had the burning, itching, purging, flaking...the whole package. If you can get through the first initial stages ( I would say the first 3 months are the absolute hardest) you will more than likely get very good results. Don't give up guys!!

How long have you been on the regimen? I assume you are still on it. How often do you get pimples now too? Im finally almost totally clear, but i still have these stubborn couple of pimples that just keep coming back and wont go totally away no matter what.... grrrrr Ive been on the regimen for like 6 weeks now, still kinda flaky and kinda dry skin. AHA+ helping. How is your skin now? Still dry, flaky, etc.? Any dark spots still from past acne? Sorry for all the questions, just want to know what to expect and how long for so.

lol same here xD I was about to ask if you still get the flakes? I been thinking of purchasing Aha+ or Jojoba Oil, but I don't know which one is good for the flakes

btw I'm happy you are 100% clear, If I had to guess on my skin, I think I'm 60% around there. The regimen did wonders for my acne and reduce some of the scars apperance making it smooth looking.

Hi there! I've been on the Regimen for about 5 months and, yes, I'm still on it, though I no longer do BP twice a day. My skin is super sensitive to begin with and I had to cut back drastically. I do a full finger's pump at night and this seems to keep everything clear for the most part. My skin in very soft and not as oily as it used to be, no flakes and very minimal dryness. I do have dark spots and pit marks from past cystic acne. AHA seems to be helping with these. BTW...I tried to quote your post, but it's not letting me...I guess this reply thingy hasn't been fixed since I last logged on (?)

How did you use it? did you do the AHA+ 2-3 times a week or dispense 1/2 AHA+ and 1/2 Moisturizer into your palm, mix, and apply every evening?

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you! Things have been rather crazy! I use my AHA everyday in the morning. I use a little less than a dime size amount, let it sink in, and then apply my moisturiser. This may be a bit much for some...but I have really sensitive skin, and this skin routine hasn't raised any issues for me. Good luck!

I just need to chime in and say that its shouldnt be taken as advice to apply AHA in the morning. Reason being, AHA accelerates the cell turnover process very much and is an exfoliant. It will sting at first. But the worst part is that it will make your face red or at least redder, and you cannot go into the sun with it on at all. You will get a bad sunburn with it on and only damage your skin way more than help it. If you go out into the sun for more than 5 minutes or are in contact with UV releasing lights, like fluorescent lighting, dont have AHA on. Best thing to do with AHA is to apply it at night when you are not in sunlight or UV light and your skin repairs and heals most during sleep. I suggest mixing half and half of moisturizer and AHA+ in your palm and apply it before bed, let it dry and absorb, and go to sleep with it on. If half/half is too much or too harsh, try 1/4 AHA and 3/4 moisturizer or 1/3 and 2/3 or whatever works best for you. Just dont want anyone to make a mistake and damage their skin, because i know how much of a toll one mistake can take on your skin and mentality. Good luck!

You're right to a certain extent....but I also want to say that I live in Louisiana where the sun shines quite frequently...and I have never had any issues. On top of that, I have VERY sensitive skin and if there were any issues, trust me....my face would let me know . I use a foundation that has SPF and that seems to overcome any issues as far as skin sensitivity. If you don't use makeup, then I highly recommend finding an SPF that works for you. The thing is, not all skin issues are alike...we are all individuals with different skin issues. What doesn't work for some, may work for others. You raise a great point, and it should be taken to heart. But there are alternatives that can help with using AHA during the day. You just have to find what works for you.

Yeah, i totally agree that everyone has different skin and has different scenarios? and they need to change their regimens to fit their needs and lifestyles. Anyways, yeah, to anyone concerned, if your face can handle AHA (mix with moisturizer for less harsh effect) like not get red or sting, then go for it, but you must apply SPF after to prevent a guaranteed sunburn. Personally, i dont see a need for myself to use AHA in the AM and im honestly more scared of trying it anyways lol.

By the way, do you know of any good SPF moisturizers? Good as in not drying, but for oily skin, i have very naturally oily skin in my T Zone, and every moisturizer makes me shine and look all oily. So, worth a shot to ask you i guess. Thanks

OMG GUYS. I'm so sorry for being MIA!

College is KILLING ME. My life consists of studying for math...which I suck at.

I HAVE SO MUCH TO TELL YOU!!!

I will start off with saying, no I am not completely clear. Yes, I am still using the Regimen. I was almost completely clear and then got depressed (over my leg) and binge ate for a while. This caused my acne to FLARE UP OMG.

Well, Now this is my second week back and it's almost gone now. I do suffer with the red marks though, so the AHA is something I will have to incorporate more.

As for my leg, if you read my earlier posts, it wasn't my IT band that kept me from running. Apparently, I have a HUGE knot in my hamstring consisting of scar tissue from an old hamstring injury that never got to heal properly. Well, the PT said it would take a year for me to run again. SOOOO You can say I was pretty depressed...also considering my first 1/2 marathon would have been tomorrow. :(

Welcome Back Alyssa! I was wondering if you had forgotten about this site, but glad to know you're still alive : p

Man that really stinks that you're leg had to get injured like that : ( I hope you are able to heal it up again very soon since I would hate to see you miss out on all those Marathons you would of enjoy to have run.

Don't lose hope!!
