Skin Texture Is Horrible

So I'm now mid-4th week and my skin is looking really bad. This doesn't seem to be happening to everyone who has been on the regimen, judging from the pictures I've seen but my skin texture is really rough, ugly and just generally not healthy-looking. It actually looks worse than the acne itself.

I'm wondering if this is just a phase. I use jojoba oil and AHA so I'm not sure if this is going to be effective as my skin is not improving at all.

It would be really great to get some input from people who have been on the regimen and what your experience with this was like and if it will go eventually, it would really help me be reassured that I'm on the right track. Feeling kind of desperate and depressed here. Thank you!

PS: I'm sorry I post so much, but it always helps to communicate with other people who have suffered with the same issues before

I've been on the regimen for about 7 weeks now, and my skin is adjusted to the full dosage of Bp and doesn't sting anymore. However, flaking is still pretty bad and I notice a few parts of my face feel very rough. With jojoba oil, this helps a great deal, but by morning I'm flaking all over the place again. You just have to wait it out and keep up with the aha if your skin can tolerate it

Hi!

I'm on the Regimen (but with Epiduo), and my skin is not at its best every day, don't worry! Just be patient, trust me.

For example, right now, I've got a giant spot on my left cheek. It's so big that it's even hard to pass through doors haha.

Be brave, dude, you're not alone.

Use lots of jojoba oil in ur moisturizer ..i really cant say whats gona help the bad texture but what i do know everyonez skin reacts differently ..if i should show u a pic of my skin texture in the first weeks ..u'd probably ask me if it was painful ...

So stick to it ..dont feel down ( i use to avoid ppl as much during my first week cuz i died of embarrassment haha ..)

Its gona get better soon ...trust me ..now my face texture is getting back to normal ....only smoother :)

You're on the right track ...moisturize as much as possible!

It took me until about my 4th month to get my skin to feel like my skin again. I got clear at 10 weeks but my skin was still tough, rough and dry feeling. It takes a while really so make sure you are getting enough hydration from your moisturizer.

Hang in there! It took my skin 3 months to clear up. I was so close to giving up but don't trust me
