Keep positive even through the new breakouts. I am in my 3rd week and woke up to 5-7 never before seen bumps and even though i want to retreat into my shell, i've mentally given myself a 3 month timeline so that i won't freak out at EVERY new imperfection. i know you can do the same. One week down is a BIG step! Do you feel like your face has adjusted to the BP which in all honesty should be the goal for the first month? I am sticking to my 1/2 to 1/4 pump for the rest of week 3 and i may will try to ramp up to 1 pump for week four. I really am hesitant to do two pumps but we'll see how well my face holds up pn 1 pump twice a day.
Anyway sistah, stay strong, one week down, 11 more to go

Thank you so much for this, I really needed this.
My face is slowly getting adjusted but I noticed a lot of flakiness this morning. You're using the bottle right? I think you're doing great patience is key!
When you put it that way it seems a lot easier haha we can do this Team Regimen!
I'm having trouble uploading pics so I'm just gonna make a gallery of pics.
It's not much of a difference but my face feels a lot cleaner than before.
Looks like your skin is really improving! That's awesome, great results so far. My skin is a lot like yours too so hopefully it'll clear us both up! Team Regimen ftw! haha
Day 8:
First day of the second week on Regimen. I'm feeling pretty good!
My face feels really dry surprisingly lol although it's a little oily and that's great since I washed my face in the morning, Usually it gets extremely oily after an hour of washing my face. The new whiteheads are drying up a little bit and I hope they vanish soon!
They're not really a big deal as I've had horrible break outs before so this is really nothing. Now that I'm using BP twice a day it's gonna take more time in the morning from me and the night routine is still the same. I'm thinking about using my Australian Blue Lizard sunscreen but idk if I should use it AM instead of the moisturizer.
I will have to seee.
Have a great day guys!!
I've been on the regimen for about 8 months. I was very skeptical of the regimen at first until I heard about all the success stories. I'm so happy that I took that leap of faith and gave it a try. I had severe cystic acne since I was 16. I'm proud to say that Dan's Regimen cured my acne. All I have to say is that you should stick with the regimen and be very meticulous about it, follow the directions as stated and you should start seeing results hopefully soon. It took me about 6 months to get completely clear. God bless and good luck

Wow! thanks a lot for the advice I will def stick to the regimen for at least 6 months, but hoping I will get results sooner.
God bless you too!
Okay so I've been thinking about something.. I have small hands, therefore I have small fingers.. so am I actually using less BP? lol I know it's weird but I just really wanna clear this up
I've though about this too!! Hahaha. I figured the same thing as you, that since I have smaller fingers compared to Dan, I might be using less BP. But then I thought, that maybe my face would be smaller?? I dunno. But the full finger's length works for me.
hi there,I wanted to chime in and say good luck and keep on going. I used a form of this regimen which worked well for years for me. It only took about two weeks and I saw really good results.
As for the oil, you can buy oil blotting sheets for in between washing, they work really well and, I think, help lessen breakouts, Clean and Clear and Palladio and even drugstores have brands.
You are totally adorable! Have a blessed day also

You have a point there, I have a big head though lol. I guess I'll have to see.

Aww thanks so much!! I've been thinking about buying those blotting sheets but I'm not sure if the Regimen will take care of that.
You're very beautiful yourself
Day 9:
I have a bunch of new pimples 1 above my lip, one under my bottom lip, 2 on my jawline and 2 more on my right cheek. These 2 weeks are really gonna suck! On the bright side, I think the moisturizer is now absorbing into my skin a lot quicker than before orrr that was just because I was in a hurry since I had work in the morning and I was running late lol. I really need to work on organizing my schedules. Anywho, I went to Rite Aid, Walgreens, & GNC, none of them had jojoba oil. I'm just gonna have to buy it online. Any recommendations? I would greatly appreciate it
I'm writing another post cause I wanted to say how grateful I am for this website, I have never felt so motivated and thanks to you guys I am. I've been picked on and called ugly, "pizza face", all these things my whole life. I've never talked about it with anybody cause nobody understands me but you guys do, cause we're going through the same struggle. I'm so thankful for this site.It has given me hope, something I haven't had in a long time. Thank you everyone and acne.org

We're always here for you, Faith! You're a very pretty girl and anyone who would call you names for suffering from something that's totally our of your hands like acne is nothing but an ignorant fool. People like that usually have insecurities of their own and they like to project them onto other people. I think this struggle with acne and the emotional side of it makes us stronger as human beings and it toughens us up, so the positive aspect of it is that we're not easily bothered by all the crap life can throw at us. Keep on truckin' and you'll have clear skin in no time!
p.s: sorry you couldn't find any jojoba oil in your area. I know the local GNC in my town had only like two bottles left so I was lucky to get it there. I think Amazon.com has some good prices on it too.

Thanks Flagg, that's very kind of you and I definitely agree with you. We're very strong and we will get through this!
I think I will buy the Dessert Essence jojoba oil. I will look at reviews, thanks again

I use exactly that brand jojoba oil. It is a good alternative to Dan's. Would have been better though if they sold a bigger bottle.
I even used jojoba oil to sort of exfoliate my skin during the 3rd-4th week of the regimen when my flaking got so bad. Good stuff!

Hang strong lil mama - i am on my 3rd week and it SUCKS - redness, burning, a bit of dryness, oh and yeah.....acne. As for the jojoba oil, have you tried a health food store? I don't think the brand matters as long as it is organic. Anyway, we're in this together!

Thanks I will look in one of those if I can. I found one today at Rite Aid but it said it was for hair? so I am really confused as to whether I should get it lol.
Booo acneee!!
Day 10:
I am experiencing a lot of things right now!! My face was burning while I was at work and seems it's becoming very red(looks like I'm blushing all the time), it's itchy right now and it feels tight/dry. I might have to start increasing the BP amount after next week. I'm gonna try to get some jojoba oil this week and hopefully that helps with the dryness and burning. Not looking forward to these next 2 weeks, but I'm gonna force myself to keep going!

I remember being at this stage of the regimen. One of the worst feelings ever to have your face feel like its burning and you just have to sit there and take it and not scratch your face. Good thing you got the jojoba oil, it helps! Hopefully what you're feeling isn't as bad as mine was. On the 1st week I was on 5% BP on the full amount and twice a day. I underestimated the BP and overestimated my skin's tolerance to acne medications.

It's not extremely bad but it's bad.
Ouchhh, did you end up switching to 2.5%? I can't imagine how much that must have burned cause I'm not even using the full amount yet.
Day 11:
My cheeks look pretty clear right now and I'm happy about that I'm still breaking out around my lip area, it's like every 3 days I get a new pimple above my lips or below my lips. My forehead is the most stubborn and I still have a bunch of little pimples on the front of it. The sides of my forehead are clear and have small scars. My chin has a few small blemishes and a lottttt of flakiness going around my mouth area too, but the moisturizer seems to take care of that. I have some peeling going on on the sides of my jaw but it's not that bad. Overall, I am feeling VERY good about the Regimen.
Hope you guys are tooo
Love you guys!!

I did manage to switch to 2.5% a little after a week. But it was tough! I'm not sure if that helped clear my acne faster or it just made me go through really uncomfortable side effects earlier. If I had to do it again, I would definitely go slower.

You're doing great! Awesome to hear that your cheeks are clear. I have a little whitehead above my lip now too, so I know what you mean about breaking out around that area. It's been one of my problem areas even before I started the Regimen. I'm feeling really good about how things are going so far too, I think we definitely have the right mindset in place to get some lasting results from this treatment. Keep the faith, Faith! (haha)

Thanks & that we do my friend!!
My prob area used to be my forehead when I was 10-13 years old then it started spreading everywhere when I tried wearing make up(biggest mistake of my life)
I wanted to point out that I am not using the 2 full pumps of moisturizer as indicated and instead am using one full pump cause I feel that's more than enough, and it takes some time to dry so I can't imagine putting 2 full pumps. My question is, should I start using 2 full pumps so that my face isn't red and dry? The texture of my skin is hard right now and idk if the jojoba oil will help that but I really hope it does.
Is the BP going to do this as long as I keep using it or will my skin just get adjusted to it and go back to its normal texture?
I spend too much time thinking lol
If anyone could address this I would very much appreciate it
