Is Aha Too Harsh For Everyday Use?

Hey! I don't have the worst acne in the world (thankfully), so I only ordered the BP gel and AHA. My skin gets really oily, so I didn't see a point in getting the moisturizer (not to mention money is tight nowadays).

Anyway, I only use the regimen once a day at night and I was just wondering - is the AHA too harsh for daily use?

I've been on this neutered version of Dan's regimen for almost two months now (started on the 19th of February) and while I think my skin's better than it was before, I can't tell whether it would've been better had I opted for the moisturizer instead, and only used the AHA 2~3 times a week (or mixed with the moisturizer) as described on the included handout.

The thing, though, is that it (the AHA) didn't sting the first time I put it on, and it doesn't sting now (except on days when I'm sloppy with the razor and shave too roughly). Does that mean my skin is okay with daily use of AHA? Should I just continue with the way I've been doing things?

What are the cons of daily use? If you can handle it, are there really any? And why is it advised that you either mix it with your moisturizer or only use it raw 2~3 times a week?

You can use AHA daily (at night). Make sure you are using at least 30 SPF during the day. I would advise using it without moisturizer if you can. The moisturizer takes away from the effectiveness of AHA.

May I ask where you get your black soap from?

I use both raw black soap (purchased from Amazon) and SheaMoisture black soap from Walgreens. I like them both. The raw soap does not do well in the shower, so I use the SheaMoisture one in the shower.
