Hi
I'm on my second week of the regimen and I feel like my skin is getting progressively worse than what it was to start off with!
I have little white bumps under the skin but now it's turned into red horrible and sore inflammatory spots. Is this normal?
I start college again next week and tbh I don't even want to leave the house and I dread covering it up with make up. I will probably look like a lizard
Some help please?
Yea that's normal. A month in my skin was getting worse. But all you can really do is stick it out until it gets better. For me that wasn't until my 3 month mark. I've been on it for 4 1/2 months now and my skin is beautiful!just be patient and you will be rewarded with awesome skin. Good luck!

Very normal! Most of us regimen users will go through all those. I think the best advice I can give you while you are still in that early stage is to wear little or no make-up. It's tough but the stinging and the flakiness will just get worse.
I opted for just using a tinted sunscreen to cover the redness a bit but if you can, stick to just the regimen. Anything else on top of that while your skin is getting used to the BP will just look not so pleasant.

Hey!
Got really worried when I read this because I use Estee Lauder double wear foundation which has a medium - buildable coverage and I have never used anything else in years and because Im so insecure about my skin I wouldn't change either. So went to work yesterday feeling really sceptical about wearing it but i just took my moisturizer to work with me and applied over the top in extra dry areas and went surpringly well!
Start college again from tomorrow so dont know if it will get worse with foundation over the top but really hope not and will update if there's any changes!
Thanks, you're a great help!
I m on my week 4 . My skin now have eveything.rednesspimplesdriness and painful.Lets stick wif it together
I have read a few of your posts and really hope that things look up for you. Don't worry, Im definately feeling all the same effects that you are but I thing if you add more jojoba oil into your moisturiser especially at night, this does help although it does not cure the problem completely!
Best of luck and please update if you see any changes!
Thanks a lot guys!!
Hey! I'm coming up on my second week as well and I have tiny red bumps appearing all over my cheeks/temples/side of face. They are tiny but very red and angry looking. Is this the same that you're experiencing? It's very frustrating and discouraging Does anyone know how long it usually takes for this "adjusting phase" to end?

Hey
This is exactly what I'm getting too. My dryness was a problem around the mouth area but now my skin is peeling all over so it's extra sore to put the BP On over the top of those red bumps.
What I will say is though that even though you get those initial breakouts you will start noticing a difference. Putting make up on over the top is a nightmare tho!
Hey... everything you are experiencing is completely normal. My suggestion would be to incorporate jojoba oil into your moisturizer this early into the regimen. At around the 5 to 6 week mark, consider adding AHA to the regimen. Keep at it and don't give up... It will get better with time, patience, and dedication... Best of luck and keep us up to date on your progress!!

Around the mouth is horrible! Lots of flaking and dryness. The jojoba does help but I'm still getting little flakes coming off throughout the day. I have noticed that the bumps I do get are smaller...but still. Do you use liquid makeup? I've used liquid foundation before and that mixed with dry/flaky skin makes you look like a walking corpse Haha it's horrible. I use BareMinerals and that works decently with the dryness. Appearance is much more appealing over liquid makeup with the dryness.

Definately feeling your pain with the mouth area and I do use a liquid foundation which doesnt really look good I agree with you there but my only issue with using a powdered foundation is not getting a good coverage with it

If you wanted to give BareMinerals a try I would highly recommend getting the full flawless face brush and the concealer brush. The type of brush makes a huge difference with powder. I apply the powder on red marks and such with the concealer brush first and then I use the full flawless brush to apply all over the face and to blend. The coverage is quite good when using that brush! Any others and it doesn't cover/blend very well.
