i just started the regimen and have some questions,

1. my skin isnt drying out/flaking at all, is this normal?

2. is it safe to use AHA along with the first 3 steps? (cleanser+treatment+ moisturizer+AHA)

Hi! Welcome aboard!

1. It's not normal, most people experience some dryness/redness/irritation at first. But hey...it's not a rule, everybody is different. I'm glad your skin seems to tolerate BP very well.

2. It's safe, but not recommended. Once you're clear you can add AHA.

Here's some info about the Regimen:

What to expect. This will help you see what's normal when you're starting out with the Regimen.

The Biggest mistakes page will help you avoid the most common mistakes people make with regards to the Regimen.

The Quick Regimen Advice page will guide you through a series of questions to help you pinpoint areas of concern with your use of the Regimen.

There's also a series of Frequently Asked Questions that address the questions that come up frequently.

Good luck!

yo!

how long have you been on the regimen? when i used it, i didnt experience dryness until the second week. so it could be that you just havent gotten too far into it yet.

as for AHA+, its recommended that you wait until the 5th week and even then, youre supposed to start really small and work up to a full amount. but technically, no one can stop you from using it.... but just a warning, the first several times you use it it hurts like hell lol so you probably dont want to start using it while your skins still adjusting the BP/regimen

thanks for the replies guys!

ive been on the regimen for a week now. still no drying/flakiness. several years ago i was prescribed a BP cream so i guess im BP tolerant. i went ahead and used the AHA and while it did burn, it gave me no negative effects.

1. Some peoples skin flakes a lot because of the regimen, if not I guess you're really lucky

2. No, I wouldn't use AHA when you're just starting out. I'd wait a month or two.
