Regimen Concerns

Hello there! This is my third day on the regimen (using Dan's products) and I have a concern. For the past few days I have been using the cleanser as well as one pump of BP and one pump of moisturizer in both the morning and night. The last couple days weren't too bad, but this morning when I woke up my face felt sore and tight. I also received a few comments from people I know that my face looked a little red. Also, when I did the regimen this morning there was a slight burning sensation when I did the BP and the moisturizer. Am I going too fast for my skin by doing the regimen twice a day? For now I'm going to start only doing BP and moisturizer in the evening, but I would like to know if anyone else has had an experience like mine and if they have any tips as to what I could do. Help is appreciated!

Thats normal It happens to me too, the redness will go away, make sure to use a very small amount of bp or else your skin will get angry with you.

Some redness is to be expected for the first couple of weeks, but if your face feels sore and tight, you should just cut down on the amount of BP, and build up more slowly. Especially if you have sensitive skin or if you're new to benzoyl peroxide.

eta: what WonderfulStrawberry said, she was just way faster than me ;)

a full pump? thats a lot to start out with, i think you should cut down to like half a pump. i know on the regimen instructions it says to work up to 3 pumps but personally i think thats kind of too much, or at least double the time it takes to work up to the 3 pumps. either way, your skins reaction is normal so as long as you keep a consistent/steady pace with things youll be fine :D

Thanks guys! After posting this topic I did a bunch more looking around on the forums (which I probably should've done before posting this topic) and managed to find answers to most of my questions. Thanks for your encouraging responses though!
