Im always in the lab seeing what I can do to improve the products. About 6 months ago I played around with the Cleanser formulation and was able to improve the foaming by very slightly increasing the percentage of a couple of ingredients in there. The more foaming the better with a Cleanser because it reduces irritation and makes it work better as a shaving cream.

I also increased the amount of existing extracts in the Cleanser slightly.

Its the same Cleanser with the same ingredients. All I did was increase a few ingredients, and only slightly.

So, perhaps you have a very sensitive nose and are noticing this. However, also keep in mind that there are variations in every batch of any product on the market. In the case of Acne.org products, each ingredient is assayed and tested, but sometimes there can be a slight change in scent depending on the batch of raws that comes in.

As far as it not smelling good to you, I like to keep Acne.org products unscented so I dont add scent to any of them, but I have heard you on the scent thing and Ill consider that moving forward. I actually don't mind the scent at all, but I realize I'm just one person.

I've been using the regimen cleanser for almost a decade, and usually order 3-4 bottles at a time. I started using the new bottle from my recent shipment and something is VERY different about it! It has such a strong chemical smell, bad! I opened the other 3 bottles and they all smelled that way. The cleanser has never smelled like this over all these years. What changed? So I've been dealing with the smell for a week now and using it anyways, and my face seems drier/redder and my eyes are very itchy. And they start getting itchy right after I wash my face, so it's not another culprit. What the hell happened? Is this a bad batch? Is there an ingredient or makeup change?
