I don't even have the time to check if this is out there but had to say it. I had the worst acne ever from like 10/11 to 20/21 so like a decade. Was on accutane for years between middle and high school. Used every single god damn prescription topical for YEARS. As well as OTC topicals. In conjunction most of the time.
ANYWAY, listen yall I got into nutrition and went vegan for a month -- nothing crazy -- and slowly brought back in different foods to see the changes in my body, mainly bc vegan didn't feel quite right. The biggest thing i noticed was a lack of dairy/lactose OF ALL KINDS (whey included, you gotta really do your hw to know all the forms of lactose) literally ended acne for me. 4 years later i barely even wash my face and aside from a tiny pimple here or there like any human, NOTHING. And i've done my tests, eat a slice of pizza BAM a day later like some bad shit appears. Stay away from all forms of lactose/dairy and my skin is clear as day for months on end. Had to share. Hope this helps at least one person. Wish someone had told me when i was 13 and saved me a decade of insecurity and shame instead of me finding out on my own through shear luck (not to mention hundreds of $$ in prescriptions). Wtf. Ag industry ie dairy industry don't want ya to know.
I totally agree with you. Dairy absolutely destroyed my skin. I had been taking whey protein and drinking milk to gain weight/muscle for years and had awful back acne and face acne. I saw a derm and she said that it had NOTHING to with my dairy intake and I needed accutane. To make a long story short, I cut out dairy and BOOM! My face cleared up and so did my back ( for the most part).
Now every time I eat dairy, I will get a cyst on my back. So many great non dairy foods, I have no desire to eat it anymore!
