okay I am desperate for answers because I am a long time sufferer from acne and sadly I'm looking at accutane as my last resort for the second time..i am 28 and still breaking out no matter what I do.
Like everyone else here I've tried B.P which helps a lol but it loses it effectiveness even after using it for months.
I've just got off vitamin B5 after being on for 5 1/2 months that too lost its effectiveness which seemed to only help my oily skin and btw is very expensive for me and I can't afford anymore.
Tried numerous vitamins calcium magnesium probiotics vitamin a.b.c.d.e....im sick of this
Its bad enough i have severe acne scars all over my face that i have to live with and I can't even afford treatments I dont come from a rich family or anything I'm not working.
I honestly feel suicidal i know anti depressants will not help with my kind of depression.
I just don't know what else to do anymore but what I do want to know if anyone here has had any success controlling their acne with switching to a healthy diet????? I've tried going vegan for a week but in my situation its f**king hard because I am in a treatment facility (alcoholism) where mostly all the food consists of meat and cheese almost everyday and i live on social assistance for the time i am here.
I just really hate to back on Accutane especially dealing with its initial breakout and gaining more scars which i dont need at this point.
It's not worth if side effects you get while on accutane!

cut out sugar and dairy,rat sweet potato instead of white,ditch white bread (even gluten) and eat whole brown.eat plenty of veg,have a good variety,cauli,broccoli,carrots abd leafy canbage (i eat this every day i can)
drink few glass's water each day.
eat couple pieces of fruit,at lunch and evening meal,so say a bannana at lunch and say a slice of fresh pineapple,stay awsy from citric for now.
wash only with warm water and pat dry every time with a clean towel.use a fresh clean pillow case every few days and wash bedding regular.
keep fingers of face if you can,keep your general hygene and clothing clean and wash your hands regular in case you touch your skin,only pop if its willing to release its contents and do it gently.
only use topical agent on your active acne,once its gone stop using it!
moisturise your fave after washing with a noisturiser thats good for your skin.do if one makes you get blackheads,try something different,try not to use cleansers.
idea here is for you to understand what you eat and habits and keep eye on skin.this way you eat something you can see if it aggravates your skin.
try to wheen yourself of spot creams and only use on a active area or spot so your skin behaves naturaly.
this way you just assist it with a skin friendly routine.
stay away from fast foods,even when your family is getting stuck in and egging you on to have some,dont until you understand your diet and skin.
keep looking at yourself in mirror every now and then this way when you eat at lunch,you look in mirror at night and inspect your skin and you can see if its breaking out or stable then you understand what you ate and can alter your diet accordingly.
when you understand whats what you can add new things to your life.
dont masturbate,do it less often and stay stress free.regardless,resist your urge to masturbate,if you say did it 2x weekly,do it once fortnightly then you control your hormones.
