Hello!

First wanted to say that I LOVE this forum. Wish I had found out about this 8 years ago... would safed me the trouble I'm getting through with my skin right now smile.png

Now, I read a lot online about how bad stress is, etc. But I can't really seem to find what happens to your body and skin (in a woman) what causes you to break out! I'm really curious about that.

Another question: what do you guys do to prevent or manage stress? This is a real dragon for me, because I stress out so easily. I'm in university right now (to become a middle school teacher) which can we terribly stressful sometimes! Kid's can we pretty difficult wink.png Sometimes when there's a problem with a kid's behavior I get angry and my face stays red (the kind of red when you get emberassed) the whole day! My face feels warm too and I can start sweating if things are getting really out of control :/ Usually followed up by a headache, which will disappear after a good night of sleep. It seems obvious that I need some kind of stress management wink.png

Hope you can help out!

Love x x

Theres a brief article on 'stress and acne' on this website you may want to take a look. As for your own stress management you need to finds what works for you; just remember that some stress is good- particularly when studying. For me personally, if its not an issue in a months time then I will not stress about it now. Also exercise obviously is also a good one. Good luck

Stress is proinflammatory which makes it bad for acne and everything else to do with your help. Sleeping righ & eating right affect your ability to deal with stress. Exercise, daylight exposure, meditation, natures, deep breathing. Take a walk where you see trees & smell dirt.

in a stess test i declared i'm 3 (from 1-10 scale) and the results confirmed me. i usually get angry a couple of times per year.

last time i got really angry was watching an internet video about a girl humiliating/beating another (a little younger) girl, about being a threat to her relationship.

the 2 girls were compatible, in the domination/submision sense, which made the humiliation video watchable, and i (like any viewer) empathised with the person making actions (the abuser in this unfortunate case). by the end, the agressed girl made her action (finally) and started crying.

of course now we empathised with this (second) girl, and the thought of indulging in such agressive pleasures which cause so much suffering to others, made me want to eliminate that part of me capable of such actions. (i was angry, actually with myself, < this is my point)

after i understood the mechanism of my anger on this, it completely gone away, which is good because i was about to hit the walls. lol

i wanted to see people's reaction so i looked at the comments section, and of course they were all super angry and wanting to "distroy" the agressor. (actually distroy/eliminate the agressor part of our mind)

once i understood this, i realised how unfair it is our reaction to the agressor actually! unfortunately the whole base of many movies depend on this stupid and unjust mechanism. (presenting "the bag guy" in an empathinsing way, seeing the damage he does to innocent folks, and wanting his annihilation = stupid american movies)

hope i'm still ontopic lol

Chronic stress is the real issue. Not stress from anger or fright once in a while.

You prevent stress by not preventing stress. Figure out what's important to you (this will be different to anything you read, different to anything anybody will tell you), and focus on that. You chose to be a teacher so helping kids feel better is part of who you are :) it doesn't mean it will be easy but you'll be doing the right thing. Sometimes if you get fired up it just means you care. You shouldn't have to apologise for that or feel guilt, embrace it and suddenly that energy will be a good thing. Sweat isn't bad either do you think athletes worry about that? I sweat 12 hours a day sometimes hauling lumber and my skin doesn't care. It's normal. Humans would be extinct today if we never broke a sweat.

Health and all that is obviously good too, but it just gives you more energy and it's your choice what to do with it.

I have recently become interested on the effect diet has on causing stress.

There has been some research on the Omega 3/6 ratio and aggression and even criminality.

I have a relative who eats a high histamine diet, mature cheeses, meat every day, sometimes cured meats, red wine etc, and is unbearably aggressive.

In my own case, I'm wondering if my general irritability in recent years is due to histamine overload. No more sauerkraut for me I think.

And mental health including depression. And performance in school 7 on the job.

our body is our first subordinate, you can see how one treats it to find out how he treats his hierarchical inferiors (like his employees, wife, children, young people, dogs, cats etc)

so it's the other way around, the type of person dictates how cruel he can get with his diet (body).

Are you 12?

This is trolling, btw. I see you've copied and pasted the same incredibly ignorant post in several threads.
