I consume frozen fish every day. I limit myself to 1-2 cans of salmon per day because of the high salt. Fish, the kind that is wild & not high in mercury make my skin glow and appear less red.
Ribbonettes, which exact frozen fish do you consume every day? The following is what I consume:
1) Wild planet sardines (in spring water)
2) Wild caught sockeye alsakan salmon (from costco)
thats about it

Wild alaskan red (sockeye) salmon from costco (was using kirkland brand, but now I'm using orca bay brand)
Sometimes I eat seared ahi at outback steak house, but the ahi I bought from costco made me breakout pretty bad. Not sure if it was a certain kind of ahi or if it just had high levels of mercury, but it was the fresh one.
I'm also very eager to try wild tilapia & flounder fish.. I heard those are also very good. However, I can't find wild tilapia or flounder where I live. I asked orca bay to ship some over. And then maybe I'll contact costco and ask if I can make a request.
But yeah, I eat salmon every single day at every meal.. along with egg yolks & greens. I don't get tired of it. It's just so delicious with the right herbs & spices.
It's an expensive diet, but my face stays the most clear when I eat this way and people tell me I look good
*edit ohh and sometimes I also eat sardines in spring water the brand brunswick.
I wanted to add grassfed beef to my diet as well, but same problem.. can't find any in my area <.< would have to go to town... not even 100% sure if they carry it there. The Organic beef from costco made be breakout even though I thought it would be ok. (I learned that organic doesn't mean it's grassfed.) I always consider what the animal eats and I can tell already what is going to break me out and what isn't.

Also, if you do not mind me asking, could you please tell me what foods you eat on a daily basis?

It was pretty bad. I had acne everywhere on my face except my eyelids.. It was bumpy and I broke out in some large ones too that would leave red & dark marks.
It just kept on coming, everyday, i could literally feel the pimples forming and my face was extremely itchy >< I'm surprised that i don't have bad scarring because I've been acne prone since I was 13.. but my skin seems to heal pretty quickly for the most part especially now that I eat the way I do. I also noticed I got a couple sunken acne scars when it was the worst, but those have actually healed up right away.. it was pretty scary but thx goodness they healed.
I wrote about what I eat in my post so I'll just copy and paste it here:
"I eat almost 0 sugar (no fruits since they broke me out). My diet consists of mostly grassfed meat, (when available) wild seafood, (salmon) egg yolks, avacados & vegetables like monoa lettutce, kale, spinach or zucchini. So I would eat this combo at every meal (breakfast, lunch & dinner) I eat until I'm full and eat 4-5 times per day. I don't count calories or anything. When I go to work I eat canned wild salmon & greens.
I also cook with garlic powder, turmeric, nutmeg, sea salt, dill weed, apple acider vinegar, organic dijon musturd & coconut oil on a daily basis. Ocassionally I use coconut flour & almond flour.
I also drink detox herbal teas as well as green & sage tea. I also drink noni juice (great source of vit C) I don't drink and eat together. I always wait 30 mins between eating & drinking (improves my digestion which is good for forehead acne) Working out too much made me breakout so I just do light exercise."
I get my eggs from costco they are the organic grade A eggs (they are brown in color). I have not found any problems with these eggs as far as breaking me out. The egg whites break me out however; and there is actually scientific evidence that the egg white is not that good for us anyways.. I have the link to the article if you are interested. So that is why I eat the egg yolk only, I feel that it actually benefits me since it is good cholesterol. Good cholesterol is so important.
I make a homemade mayo for my fish using egg yolks, organic dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar & coconut oil. It is very delicious to top it on fish and then put it in a oven for the last 3-5 minutes of cooking & I get a nice texture.
I stay away from dairy. I heard that full fat organic butter might be ok, but I haven't tried it myself personally.

Lucky you. How were your stress/anxiety/depression levels when your acne was at its worst?
Actually, when my acne was very bad I wasn't too stressed out.. maybe just a little. But when I started my job I was VERY stressed out.
My hair fell out quite a bit & I broke out around my jaw line area. I was probably about 75% clear at the time. But now that I'm not so stressed anymore my hair is doing ok and so is my jawline & overall.
I have some very depressing news though.. I don't mean to be negative or anything, but I feel that it is relevant. I've been doing a lot of research on Monsanto & GMOs & last week I came across the subject of fukushima - the nuclear disaster that happened in Japan and they were talking about how the radiation spill has been spilling thousands & thousands of gallons of nuclear waste into the ocean ever since the accident!! And it's still not under control at all! And it's going to alaska as well! That means the fish and sea creatures are going to be poisoned with radiation I'm really sad I'm going to start crying!! And this kind of news doesn't even make it into the media D: i don't know what to do now. I heard within 5 years, (still gotta do more research) the radiation is going to reach the US. All my hard work just might go down the drain :[ I love salmon so much!! I love the taste, I think fish are cute period! & It keeps me healthy x( It's so sad. I think the solution here is to get away from the cities move out to the country & grow our own food & raise our own animals. That is exactly what I'm going to do because shit is going to go down and I'm not going to wait around & watch myself waste away. Things are getting crazier each day! Sorry if this sounds crazy. I'm still trying to get my head wrapped around this whole thing. Prophecy is coming true right before our eyes! It said in the Bible that 1/3 of the sea creatures will die. Again, I apologize, I know people don't like it when religion is brought up, but that's just my thoughts. I wish you the best though and keep in the mind the radiation levels & I hope you can achieve all of your goals! I'm going to do more research on this matter.

I'm really sad I'm going to start crying!!
FUCK, humans fuck everything up.
What options do we have now?
I don't know man. This news is hitting me really hard. I feel pretty depressed about this. Our food source seems to be fucking everyone over.
The people around me are dropping dead left & right, bees are dying, the animals are dying, being treated badly, being fed GMO grain. Monsanto is trying to take over every organic farm in the United States and genetically modify every plant species hence destroying our planet. Organic farmers sued monsanto, but of course.. the corrupt judge sided with.. monsanto.. we can't even get them to label GMO foods I recommend this site to keep up with what's going on: http://naturalsociety.com/ It also talks a lot about food as well.
Humans do fuck everything up. But from everything that I've learned and researched so far.. everything is a fcuking circle or a lie... It's like they planned everything. From what they put out in the media to what they say is "healthy". Ever notice how most people have tiny yards? I think they did it on purpose, so that we can't plant our own gardens. They want us to be dependent on their system. Did you know that they also suppress free energy? Just like how they suppress cures for acne or other diseases.. or they say it's caused by "genetics". To me that is just beyond fucked up. Then they try to sell expensive products claiming that it is the "solution" when really they are just ripping people off. I've never seen an acne product suggest lifestyle or diet changes to help assist in the process of getting rid of their acne.
How bad was your acne at its worst stage??
Also, if you do not mind me asking, could you please tell me what foods you eat on a daily basis?
thanks
Are your eggs pasture raised eggs?
Do you consume any butter or dairy?
It was pretty bad. I had acne everywhere on my face except my eyelids.. It was bumpy and I broke out in some large ones too that would leave red & dark marks.
It just kept on coming, everyday, i could literally feel the pimples forming and my face was extremely itchy >< I'm surprised that i don't have bad scarring because I've been acne prone since I was 13.. but my skin seems to heal pretty quickly for the most part especially now that I eat the way I do. I also noticed I got a couple sunken acne scars when it was the worst, but those have actually healed up right away.. it was pretty scary
but thx goodness they healed.
I agree man. Do you ever consume junk food or grains though (there are times for me when I am in a social gathering, an NONE of the food that is offered is good). If I don't consume anything, I get shunned so I always cheat once in a while and this could be why I still get acne

I did a while back, but then I just broke out again /: It's not easy, but I reject all grains, processed food, and everything else that isn't paleo.
I am just so upset with these evil people purposely making us sick so I refuse to put poison into my body even if it means I will starve.
So when I go out, I just bring a can of salmon or sardines & a can opener so I can eat that whenever I'm hungry. It's easy I just eat it out of the can.
Even if I'm out with friends or at a party I just tell them I'm gluten/sugar free and nicely tell them no thankyou. When people question me about it,
I just tell them I get bad migraine headaches if I don't stick to my healthy diet. (which is true, I did get those. but also, I'd rather tell them that story than tell them it's because I'm "acne prone". lol)
Some people may think I'm wack af, but I'm just like whatever. I feel sooooo much better when I eat this way. It greatly reduces inflammation in my body.
Speaking of inflammation, I still get acne but I have wayyy less than before. I have a few spots here & there but nothing bad at all.
Acne is a symptom of an allergy. When something is attacking our body (bad food & pollution) our body reacts by causing that area to become inflamed; in other words, become swollen & red. (This is where chinese face mapping comes in) Our poor bodies are just doing it's job.. protecting us from further damage & trying to reconstruct.
We aren't helping it if we're putting junk in us constantly. I think the reason why certain foods break us out is because they are honestly just bad for human consumption in the first place. And "when we were younger we naturally produced more antioxidants.." An older woman told me. Other people who eat whatever why want without breaking out are still doing damage to their body.. it just doesn't show in acne.. It's usually goes on until it's too late & they end up with diabetes or heart disease.
But most importantly, processed food as well as gmo foods attack the liver & other important organs. Your liver is SOO important for healthy skin. That is why people with hepatitis A their skin turns yellow & the whites of their eyes look yellow as well. If you have a noticeable yellow tinge to your eyes you might need to focus more on liver care. Internal health is so critical.. it upsets me that the media doesn't even go over stuff like this.
Sorry if you already heard some of this before. lol. Just throwing it out there since I'm not sure on how much u know about these topics. Why do you get shunned? That is so horrible.
I know a lot about diet, trust me. In essence we should be consuming the following : fatty fishes (wild caught), fatty cuts of meats (100% pasture raised AND finished), eat broths and organ meats, lots of leafy greens, limit fruits (and fruits should be eaten when overripe), nuts (I think the best nuts are macadamia nuts), and healthy fats (olive oil, avocado, butter, ghee, animal fat, lard etc)
Today was father's day, went out with my family to dinner and I got tempted and ate a burger with fries. I hope I dont break out

That's good at least you know x) ooo. I hope so too ^^ I got this weird painful zit on my eyebrow /: It must be by hormones out of wack or I'm stressed. I'm gonna be trying different things to see what will help it
u should be having ghee?butter?
what about animal fat?
and limiting fruits?
and why only overripe?
no eggs?
Eggs break me out, I am almost certain of this. I cannot find 100% pasture raised eggs where I live unfortunately.
Overripe works best for me because I seem to digest them better vs when underipe.
Ghee/butter/animal fat is extremely healthy. You need fat do absorb most minerals/vitamins (especially fat soluble vitamins).
okay so u were talking about diet that SUITS YOU.
healthy diet is subjective.
eggs are good unless u r intolerant.
fruits that can be eaten 'unripe' is just as good that way.
its a differnt story if u r better with those ripened ones.
i personally dnt support high fat diet.
its not ideal.
some amount of ghee is good.
yes, fats are an integral aspect of our diet (in moderation)and traditional ghee is the best form of fat that your body can ask for. The only condition to making traditional ghee is that it must be made from fresh or pasteurised milk without resorting to shortcuts for this process.also, without any adulteration.
but butter and animal fat isnt ideal IMO.
i can talk about butter.
it has low smoking point which the bonds are thus easily broken.
oxidation and apparently releases free radicals.
aturated fat which increases the LDL (bad) cholesterol in the blood. But for centuries it has been a favourite cooking medium in india.but what we need to keep in mind is the amount of physical activity they had.
and they had traditional ghee not the bad commercial stuff(at least here in most indian markets)

You don't have a costco near you? They sell organic eggs.. *Not sure if they are pasture raised though.. it says organic fed on the label. Is that similar to pasture raised? Have you tried just eating the egg yolk only? The egg yolk is better for you. It is a healthy fat & a good cholesterol. This is where I get my resources from: http://paleodietlifestyle.com/an-egg-yolk-a-day-keeps-the-doctor-away/
I agree that good fats are extremely healthy! That is why I cook with lots of coconut oil & eat egg yolks freely. I haven't come across full fat butter or ghee in my area so I haven't really thought about how those would affect me. I would have to do some more research about that.
Oh, and i took some Cat's Claw (very beneficial herb) last night and put tea tree oil on my eyebrow & my swollen zit that was completely deep under my skin is almost completely gone! It is soo amazing. Usually it takes a while to heal a pimple like that. I am going to continue to take Cat's claw & see how well it prevents/treat breakouts.

Those are not pasture raised. Regarding my cheat day, I broke out in a few moderate sized inflamed acne. Back to my diet I go.
How many egg yolks do you consume I day? Yes I know that the nutritious part of the eggs are the yolks and not the whites

2-3 per day. That's good. A lot of people have it completely backwards.. i have to end up explaining it to everyone I talk to -.- and then they're like, "what?! i don't believe you." Smh. lol.
of course yolk is the nutritious part.
its the actual "lil' baby" u see.
what most mean is they are worried about the cholesterol it gives.(studies recently show there's less/no connection).the white part they say is free of that worry.
plus its not like its completely useless.
1-2 or 3 full eggs a day(if u aint intolerant) for a normal person is good i think.

there's little connection between other cholesterol containing foods and your cholesterol levels too. There are some people with a condition for which this is a problem and probably need medication, but this is a rare condition. Most of the people avoiding fats and taking statins should not be. They should be consuming real food with fiber and moving around daily.
most people avoiding fats shouldnt worry about taking in full eggs?
if they are worries about fat, shouldnt they be worried about the fat yolk has(not that i worry about.that amount of fat is okay i suppose - but those who are up for size zero might have to worry)
i dnt support high fat diet but healthy fat IMO is very important.

I tell them to give their yolks to me if they aren't going to eat the best part of the egg.
