Yes. I have had diffuse hair loss now for 2 years after 10 days on 3 x 300 mg pantethine per day (stopped taking it after hair loss started on day 10).

Ah man that sucks, sorry to hear :/ it's so weird how no websites mention this side effect or any side effects for that matter except from typical possible nausea/diarrhea symptons etc

Thanks for the heads up anyway man, guess it's just not worth the risk

My hairloss has slowed a lot with the use of Nizoral and Minoxidil...there are even little hairs growing but not sure if they will really ever amount to much.

Before, when washing my hair or styling it, many would fall out. Now it is just 1-3 hairs which is probably quite normal.

Has anybody considered, or tried having a hair transplant for this? It's tempting to be honest though my hair still looks OK but receded between 1-2 inches.

I'm living in SE Asia nowadays where the cost is probably quite affordable, it would be awesome to get my hairline back.

Hallo tw12,

If this works ill worship you for the rest of my life. Just to clearify you want us to take 100mg 3 times a day = 300 mg/day ? Thats very high doses, recommended doses is 1.4 mg/day. Is there b1 pills that contain that amount? Or should I pop more or less a hundrerd pills everyday for a week?

Hello Folks,

100 mg of thiamine 3 times a day, a total of 300 mg...Any b complex normally has 100mg of thiamine so these are okay. Nothing will make me happier than to see people have a better life. Take note of differences in sleep patterns because this will hopefully change your 24 hr pattern, not only ur hair. I reckon ever since u took the b5 ur sleeping pattern have not been optimum. I used to take twin labs b1, it has 500 mg in 1 cap but its better u space it out.

Goodluck.

Any updates on this yet? I've taken b1 before but in a mixture with other vitamins and it was only around 66mg which had no effect. Very interested to see if this works but as you can all understand I've tried many things in the last 4 years and nothing has worked. This really would be a miracle

Most other vitamins raise cortisol even more...Thats why people who go on biotin after pantothenic, suffer even more hair loss as it decreases cortisol breaking down speed and thus leave u with even more cortisol. Thiamine and b6 directly inhibit cortisol and i think b5 depletes the body of thiamine but its not mentioned in literature. Its sad how poor nutrient interactions studies are and how scientists are not interested in them since they dont profit from them...

Have any of you guys noticed a difference in sleep pattern since the b5?

Have any of you guys noticed a difference in sleep pattern since the b5?

Im not sure its because of b-5, but for a year~ ive been waking up many times (not every night) at approx 2-3 at night if I go to sleep at 11-12 at night. And I have a hard time feeling awake when its time to go up, almost feel dizzy the first 1-2 hours after I woke up

Is this a sign of high cortisol?

Just woke up, 3rd day on vitamin b-1 now. Same here, but I have been taking Ashwaganda, Rhodiola and Vitamin C which all are potent supplements to reduce cortisol with no results yet.

Blue09, dont give up just yet. Of course it will probobly not work, but it could still be the miracle we have been waiting for. Elessarx says hes been taking Ashwaganda, Rhodiola and Vitamin C which all are potent supplements to reduce cortisol without any results. But how much has he been taking? Tw12 is telling us to take 300 mg B1 a day wich is 215 times the suggested daily dose. Maybe thats what you need to beat this, a one week long attack.

Stop everything else except the thiamine...You are depleting ur ceruloplasmin with vitamin c and i will cause urself more hair loss...as for the others they are adaptogens and i found them to raise my cortisol even more...Stop everything except the b1, i dont know why ur doing this...this is very harmful...pantothenic acid depletes thiamine and this is why thiamine is ur only solution...how long have u been doing the c and others? stop them immediately

Tw12 sorry to ask but how do you know so much about this stuff, you seem to know a hell of a lot about these vitamins. Also did you lose hair due to b5 or something else.

Not solely due to b5 but due to high cortisol and b5 added more fuel to the fire...I solved it with thiamine...Please dont take any other thing to reduce cortisol except thiamine as pantothenic acid interact with thiamine to regulate cortisol in a certain fashion which vitamin c or any other thing wont. vitamin c caused me to lose even more hair due to it depleting ceruloplasmin...I promise u this is the solution to ur problem, just give it a week and see...

as 4 u elessarax, if u have been taking vit c for a long time u need to start supplementing copper...taking grams of vit c is extremely harmful to ur hair, it ruined mine in my attempt to lower cortisol and i solved it with copper supplement 10 mg daily for a week and continue with thiamine in the same time...other people who are not on anything else will be the best indicator for how successful thiamine is 4 u(which im extremely hopeful of it being ur cure) so i urge u to start it...

Thanks for the info tw12.

I'm very scared of taking any supplements after what B5 did, so I will let the other guys see how they get on first.

Did taking this help regrow hair or just prevent any further loss?
