Acne Supplement That Looks Interested

There is this supplement I just found online called "clearetto"..and it looks interesting. It is mainly Saw Palmetto, and then it also has other vitamins (zinc oxide, B6, D3, A, Alpha Lipoid acid, and folic acid). It actually has a decent amount of the vitamins in there (percentage wise). Also, I know that zinc oxide is supposed to be one of the most effective forms of zinc for acne.

Also, this product got really good reviews on this website, though I couldnt find reviews anywhere else.

I'd love to hear anybodies thoughts or opinions on this product, even if you have never used it, do you think it could work? I'm always on the lookout for a good internal acne supplement, and this looks very interested.

If you want more info just google clearetto and it's webpage will come up

Thanks for your help!

I was looking into clearetto too. The reviews seem promising and I'm trying to find supplements I can use to replace the antibiotics I'm taking. I'm hoping has some information in this product, it would really help..

They clearly state that their main ingredient is "saw plametto" as it inhibits androgen to DHT conversion.

Everyone is saying that it cleared them up when they tried it, but...

why buy something worth 50 bucks when you can buy saw palmetto supplements for lot cheaper price?

I haven't researched deeply into digestion and DHT conversion but it makes me wonder though, although it is unhealthy whether if eating inflammatory food such as grains while on this will trigger a break out.

People with no acne have less sensitive dht receptors and less food intolerance I am guessing even if they eat so much crap and they are still clear.

True, it's not exactly cheap, but matching 650 mg with regular saw palmetto pills won't be that much cheaper in the end.

Why do they use beta carotena, instead of vitamin A? I'm also not sure if zinc oxide really is the best form, I thought monomethionine or picolinate were absorbed better.

Crap youre right, it is zinc monothionine which is the best for acne. I thought they were the same thing, but I was wrong. I actually went out and bought some saw palmetto today, so we'll see how that goes!

if saw palmetto doesn't work combine it with stinging nettle root. Also buy supplements without magnesium stearate/ stearic acid

Hm...if zinc hasn't worked for you in two years I doubt taking more will fix things now! How do you feel about eating some organ meats instead to get some potent wide spectrum vitamins and minerals? What else are you using to treat your acne?

My acne is under control actually, but mainly thanks to BP. Im always trying to wean myself off it, but nothing has worked so far. The zinc has never cured my acne, but it definitely helps (probably cleared me 20% by itself, which i'll take any day!). Im always on the prowl for natural cures, so im hoping saw palmetto will help. I am also going to up my dosage of zinc to 60 mg a day. If it doesnt work then worst comes to worst and I go back on BP and clear up again rolleyes.gif . Even though its a pretty intense chemical, I love having something to fall back on which I know will always get me clear, im just too much of a perfectionist to not keep looking for more healthy treatments!

I'm glad to hear you're clear! I've heard that about BP, that it ages you, but I've never seen the studies or looked much into it since I could never really use it. I've heard that it is/isn't true, so I was wondering if you knew of the sources people were using to justify the claim? A good research buddy of mine said the aging thing was a bunch of hogwash, but again, I haven't looked into it. If it is, then maybe you have nothing to worry about!

Thanks! I think the aging comes from constantly having dry skin. As long as you keep moisturized it won't age. People have been using BP for a longggg time, its a very time tested treatment. All the research ive done from actual empirical studies have come up that BP is very safe to use. I just don't like the idea of putting it on. Playing devils advocate, I know that companies make billions of dollars on BP, and realistically if it was bad for you I doubt the lobbyists would let that info get out. I'll use it for the time being, but like I said, im always open to more natural treatments (hence the saw palmetto!). BP is probably safe, but I would feel more confident if I could drop it.

Saw palmetto supposedly works better with a combination of other herbs. Also stinging nettle has various other benefits. Magnesium stearate weakens the immune system.

what about a good whole foods organic multi vitamin that has saw palmetto? i know a couple of high brand multis include garden of life and the synergy company

Titanium Dioxide, magnesium sterate, vegetable magnesium stearate, corn starch artificial colors, flavors, titanium dioxide are very undesirable excipients that are usually not necessary to make supplements as there are many companies that do not use them. There are better alternatives such as vegetable cellulose. These excipients are said to weaken the immune system. Also when buying supplements look for supplements made with whole foods and organic produce and minerals as most vitamins today are isolated. For example vitamin a is usually beta carotene is multis and vitamin c is ascorbic acid. When I used to take a bodybuilding supplement from optimum nutrition it was made mostly with these types of isolated vitamins. My urine within the hour would be neon green. I actually thought that meant the vitamin was working and this neon green urine was the excess vitamins coming out. But later when I took a whole foods vitamin with more of the daily value % of vitamins my urine came out clear within the hour. Our bodies were made to extract nutrients from whole foods not from chemical activators, isolated vitamins created in labs. Good companies are Premier Research Labs, Quantum Nutrition Labs, The Synergy Company, Garden of Life, and there are many others.

I've been on clearetto for about a month now. I was taking "pure encapsulations" brand saw palmetto but switched over to clearetto. A ton of high grade SP and bunch of other vits in it too, its actually cheaper than all my vitamins i was taking combined (saw palm was about $30 a bottle, ALA is about $15, high dosage Zinc was $10, and my multi-vit was $20). It's worked well so far, haven't noticed a drop-off from my other supps. I will give another update in a month.
