The age of antibiotics is over.
"According to a landmark Antibiotic Resistance Threat Report published by the CDC2 earlier this year, 2 million American adults and children become infected with antibiotic-resistant bacteria each year, and at least 23,000 of them die as a direct result of those infections. Even more die from complications.
According to the Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA), just one organismmethicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus, better known as MRSAkills more Americans each year than the combined total of emphysema, HIV/AIDS, Parkinsons disease, and homicide.3
This death toll is really just an estimate, and the real number is likely much higher. The true extent of superbug infections remains unknown because no one is tracking themat least not in the US.
Hospitals here are not required to report outbreaks of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, unlike in the EU where they are at least making efforts to track them. The US is in desperate need of a surveillance program for reporting and tracking this growing threat.4
What were seeing is the evolution of bacteria. Basically, microorganisms have learned to teach each other how to outsmart the best pharmaceutical drugs we have to offer, and they are definitely winning the battle."
Mercola. Read whole article to see which bacteria/disease. The identified gene that gives makes the bacteria resistant and how it can be passed from one bacteria to another. And how our food system contributes to the problem.
I didn't read through every post but there is a way to get healthy bacteria back into the gut but it's a really disgusting method. This isn't a post about our bad health system, just something interesting. I've heard it talked about on npr a few times as they are using it currently to cure things like crohns but I would imagine it would also help with other things like acne in time.

Imagining the Post-Antibiotics Future
https://medium.com/p/892b57499e77
Article about the types of infections in our environments that used to kill people before antibiotics, the medical procedures that won't be possible without antibiotics, not to mention how our agricultural system depends on them, wrongly of course. But we aren't making any moves to correct all these mistakes.
Sir Alexander Fleming, discoverer of the drug penicillin, warned that the microbes would soon become resistant to the drug. Read below to see how fast it's been happening for decades. This isn't new knowledge. Yet they've kept on abusing antibiotics.
Bacteria can produce another generation in as little as twenty minutes; with tens of thousands of generations a year working out survival strategies, the organisms would soon overwhelm the potent new drugs.
Flemings prediction was correct. Penicillin-resistant staph emerged in 1940, while the drug was still being given to only a few patients. Tetracycline was introduced in 1950, and tetracycline-resistant Shigella emerged in 1959; erythromycin came on the market in 1953, and erythromycin-resistant strep appeared in 1968. As antibiotics became more affordable and their use increased, bacteria developed defenses more quickly. Methicillin arrived in 1960 and methicillin resistance in 1962; levofloxacin in 1996 and the first resistant cases the same year; linezolid in 2000 and resistance to it in 2001; daptomycin in 2003 and the first signs of resistance in 2004.
Then follow the link to the article about antibiotics in your food. http://thefern.org/2013/05/whats-causing-the-rise-in-antibiotic-resistant-bacteria/ Don't miss the paragraphs about the CAFO raised hogs. Then the paragraphs below that about the farms where the pigs are raised more naturally.
Hog Heaven, Hog Hell
If there is a ground zero for the abuse of antibiotics in the United States, its probably Iowa, where hogs outnumber humans seven to one. During the 90-minute drive up I-35 from Des Moines to visit one farm, I was rarely out of sight of rows of long, low barnseach home to at least 2,000 pigs confined shoulder-to-shoulder in pensknown as CAFOs (Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations). In 2009, Tara Smith, Ph.D., a researcher at the University of Iowa, published a study that found that nearly half of the hogs at two large Iowa farms carried MRSA. More worrisome, 45 percent of the workers at those farms harbored the bacteria.
More things wrong with our supposedly evidence-based, peer reviewed research.
Bias guiding study, repoprting
This is from a mercola article about some WebMD controversy. It seems they are being paid millions by the government to educate doctors about ObamaCare. I really don't see the big deal. If there is some conflict of interest or transparancy issue, it's far from the worst thing going on in our government & sick care industry.
But, there's a couple other points further down in the article:
Quote
- In 2010, WebMD was found to have created a depression screening test in which 100 percent of quiz-takers ended up having a high likelihood of major depression, and were asked to discuss available drug treatment. The test was sponsored by a drug company.
- Global expenditure for prescription drugs is estimated to hit $1 trillion next year, and as high as $1.2 trillion in 2017
And this about the so-called evidenced based science considered fact by our medical industry.
Bias Pervades Scientific Reporting
the pharmaceutically-sponsored American Heart Association and College of Cardiology have just created a new risk estimating questionaire that will pretty much put everyone in the 'will benefit from a statin drug as a preventative measure' category.
statin drugs work, but are terrible drugs that I hate to see anyone one. The side effects especially in the elderly I swear are almost worse than not taking it. I've watched active people become almost sedentary from long term use or too high of dose on statin medications. Seeing now that pretty much groups us all as candidates just makes me upset. But what am I to do...

Has the age of antibiotics come to an end?

Key points -
You usually get the really resistant infections at the hospital. (You get all kinds of infections at the hospital. Plus they give you really bad nutritionally void food to eat while you are supposed to be recovering from illness. )
several of these have the ability to literally coach other bacteria how to be resistant to antibiotics. So they're beginning to transfer this resistance ability to other types of bacteria.
High mortality rate. going on 50% of the people that contract some of the strains die.
there has not been a sense of crisis that is anywhere near the level of what it should be. (Much like with climate change, pollution, crumbling infrastructure...)
QuoteDAVID HOFFMAN: I think the first line of defense is hand-washing. Wash your hands, pay attention to hand hygiene. Cook your food properly. But the second thing is to use antibiotics properly. Don't take them when you don't need them.
(If you don't have an acute & serious illness let your immune system work. And don't take the antibiotics your average doctor will likely prescribe for your flu or cold.)
Evolution of Antibiotic Resistance
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/evolution/library/10/4/l_104_03.html
QuoteIn some countries, such as the United States, patients expect and demand antibiotics from doctors, even in situations where they are inappropriate or ineffective. Our immune systems will cure many minor bacterial infections on their own, if given the chance, and antibiotics have no effect on viral infections at all. Every time antibiotics are used unnecessarily, they add to the selective pressure we are putting on microbes to evolve resistance. Then, when we really need antibiotics, they are less effective. ...
Arms Race With a Superbug
timeline: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/evolution/arms-race-superbug.html
And all that's just about presciption drugs. Then there's the antibiotics used in agriculture and antibacterial soaps, which are not only bad for you, they are bad for your plumbing. There should be microbes eating up the biofilm in your pipes. Instead everyone kills them, then their pipes get clogged, then they dump harmful chemicals into them that aren't removed in water treatment so they add to the soup that now fills our waterways. But I digress. The U.S. & European CDCs have issued reports finding that overuse of antibiotics in factory farms is contributing to antibiotic resistance.
Are You Safe from the Superbugs?
article listing many of the superbugs, especially the hospital transmitted ones, and including the return of tuberculosis. [Link Removed]
QuoteA third superbug is Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Nine million cases of tuberculosis (TB) are diagnosed every year and it's responsible for two million deaths annually worldwide.10-11
Patients infected with HIV are particularly susceptible to TB, as are people who have diabetes or other diseases that impair immunity. People who abuse alcohol or illegal drugs also have an increased risk.
Quotehandwashing only helps up to a point. MRSA is everywhere, including the surfaces you touch and the soil you garden init's even been found at U.S. water treatment plants.30 How many times do you touch a gas pump, an ATM machine, money and countless surfaces in the store, at the post office and in your office without having access to soap and water or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer afterwards? You simply can't wash your hands after every possible exposure. Plus, as noted above, C. difficile is resistant to hand sanitizers. That's where a healthy immune system comes into play.
One of the biggest threats to your immune system is stress. In one study, for example, all-cause mortality increased in the month after the death of a spouse. Stress alters the way your sympathetic nervous system and endocrine system works, which ultimately impairs immune function. Stress increases rates of infection, HIV progression and cancer incidence and progression.31-35
Clearly, reducing stress is the key that unlocks the door to a strong immune system. Good stress-reduction techniques include meditation and yoga. You can also purchase an aromatherapy diffuser and fill it with lavender essential oil, which has relaxing properties. Or simply keep the lavender essential oil bottle on your desk and sniff it when you're under stress.36
Sleeping less than seven hours per night also can decrease your immune system's bacterial-destroying power. People who were dissatisfied with the way they were sleeping had lower numbers and poorer functioning of immune cells.37-39
In another study, after a night of sleep deprivation between 3 and 7 a.m., the activity of important immune cells known as natural killer cells was reduced in 18 of 23 subjects studied. When the subjects had a good night's rest the next night, natural killer cell activity returned to normal.40
The next time you're tempted to stay up late working, doing housework, watching TV or reading, remember it could cost you your life.
And if you can't sleep, make sure your doctor tests you for sleep apnea, a major cause of insomnia that can be treated with a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine.
Another immune booster is exercise, especially among older adults. A recent randomized study shows exercise improved healing times in experimentally produced wounds.41-42
If you are exercising in a gym, however, it's wise to take certain precautions, as some people have contracted MRSA infections at a gym. Wash hands before and after using equipment and place a towel between your bare skin and exercise equipment and sauna benches. Keep wounds dry and covered.
A low-sugar diet also is critical in keeping the immune system strong. Consuming 75 to 100 grams of a sugar solution (the equivalent of two 12-ounce sodas) reduces the ability of white blood cells to overpower and destroy bacteria. The immune suppression was most noticeable two hours after eating the sugar, but the effect was still evident five hours after ingestion.43-44
Knocking Out Bacteria Naturally
A good supplemental solution for long-term immune support is medicinal mushrooms. Part of the reason why CA-MRSA is especially dangerous is because the bacteria have the ability to sidestep the killing activity of immune cells known as polymorphonuclear neutrophils. Many medicinal mushrooms such as Ganoderma lucidum and maitake give the human immune response a boost by improving the function of human polymorphonuclear neutrophils. Medicinal mushrooms enhance the neutrophil's ability to engulf and destroy foreign invaders such as bacteria. In a cell culture study, Ganoderma also has blocked the growth of MRSA and other bacteria.45-48
Consuming a daily probiotic supplement or foods supplemented with probiotics packs a powerful punch against C. difficile. In one study, researchers fed one group of elderly patients cheese that contained the probiotics Lactobacillus rhamnosus HN001 and Lactobacillus acidophilus NCFM. After the patients spent time eating the probiotic cheese, they were switched to the same cheese without probiotics.
The researchers found that when the patients were on the probiotic cheese, there was a trend towards lower counts of Clostridium difficile, as compared to when the patients ate the plain cheese. The effect was particularly significant in the elderly patients who harbored C. difficile at the start of the study.49
In cell culture studies, kefir containing Lactobacillus has protected against C. difficile's toxic effects.50
Another important nutrient for anyone concerned about superbugs is vitamin C. Although vitamin C has no effect on most gram-negative or gram-positive bacteria, it can stop Mycobacterium tuberculosis in its tracks, at least in cell culture studies. A cell culture study published in 2013 found that vitamin C could kill both drug-susceptible and drug-resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis. M. tuberculosis was highly susceptible to vitamin C's antibacterial ability.51
Topically, orange essential oil has blocked MRSA growth in several studies. Based on these studies, putting a few drops of orange essential oil into your hand lotion every day could protect against exposure in high risk areas such as the gym.52-
Good things for your Immune system -
There's also your skin. Healthy skin is your first line of defense against many of these infections such as MRSA. See the H
thread.
Also, your mucosal membranes are another first line of defense. Don't impair them with drugs either. And boost the IgA antibodies that function there

Ask your doctor if this side effect is right for you , I stay clear of all synthetic drugs I really don't need side effects in my life. It used to be that 80 percent
of prescription drugs where derived from nature nowadays they are almost all 100% synthetic because "NATURE" can't be patented but that is where
the true healing is , herbs.. our ancestors have used them for thousands of years it's all these drugs nowadays that are causing so many health problems
a sad state of affairs indeed. You take one drug and you get five other side effects then more drugs to treat those side effects a vicious cycle .
What allopathic medicine {orthodox} is good at is symptom management but to actually cure or heal a person well no , they don't do that there is simply too much money in disease management and treating side effects. In the US over 100.000 people die every year form DRUG side effects very sad indeed.

British study compares the benefits of a statin a day vs an apple a day on heart disease. And finds them comparable. Except statins cause all kinds of harm. http://www.bmj.com/content/347/bmj.f7267
And the apple is just one of the many diet and lifestyle habits that are better heart disease prevention/treatment methods. I.e. Stress management, exercise, sleep, vitamin C, Omega 3 EFAs, etc.
I'm a volunteer at an organic community farm and an organic food coop. I work for food. But I'm always being told by people that they can't eat greens because they are on blood thinners. Greens are a superfood for skin and health. They are chock full of nutrients that affect all kinds of factors that lead to acne such as magnesium, beta carotene & sulfur phytochemicals and sulfur containing amino acids. And I hate to see these people avoid healthy food and essential nutrients while taking harmful drugs. Especially when they take them as a 'preventative.' And especially, when these drugs can actually cause the end result they are trying to prevent: Plaque buildup, hardened arteries, coronary heart disease & stroke!
Consider carefully whether you need these prevention drugs or if you can manage your health via diet and lifestyle.
Vitamin K Deficiency, Calcium, Hardened Arteries & Stroke
There are many forms of vitamin K. K1 comes from greens and is responsible primarily for the coagulation of the blood while K2 is responsible for calcium metabolism within the body and cardiovascular health. Deficiency in vitamin k leads to misuse of calcium & thus osteoporosis and calcification of soft tissues such as arteries & pineal gland. Vitamin k along with vitamin D regulates the recycling of old bone tissue into new. A deficiency of vitamin K means too much old tissue is broken down and the calcium is sent into the blood stream where it binds to soft tissue like your arteries and pineal gland which affects your ability to sleep.
Coumadin (warfarin) blocks all forms of vitamin K causing a deficiency. In fact, these drugs are used to induce arterial calcification in lab rats!
Vitamin k2 can undue the calcification of the arteries & other soft tissues. This form is made by E. coli bacteria in our small intestines (so stop killing it) or obtained via the diet, from animal products like full fat dairy, egg yolks, liver, etc
Other ways to thin blood: ginger, chamomile tea, omega 3 foods, quercetin (onions, garlic, apples), ginkgo billoba, curcumin (turmeric), cayenne, high salicylic foods (cranberries, prunes), anti-inflammatory diet habits, exercise, nitric oxide which is formed and spread throughout your body whenever you inhale deeply through your nostrils. And other pharmaceuticals that might have other side effects.
Monitoring Blood Coagulation
The issue is, you can't monitor your blood coagulation yourself as easily as you can your blood pressure or sugar. Home monitors are available, but expensive at $700 - $1000. You might consider this money well spent as compared to the cost of the drugs and the cost if they cause the heart disease rather than prevent it. Perhaps all the new drugstore clinics offer this service at an affordable price. Prothrombin time (PT) and international normalized ratio (INR) tests are used to monitor blood coagulation.
Correction: They do offer these tests at Walgreens, Anylabtest, and other such clinics.
Other preventions:
Manage blood pressure, diabetes, weight, stress. Avoid cigarette smoke. And be active.

From a Mercola article on how supposed pandemics like bird and swine flu and their vaccines are so over-hyped and mismanaged they are basically fraud. http://articles.merc...09_DNL_artNew_1 - Basically, they didn't test everyone with flu-like symptoms. They just assumed that's what they had.
Mentioning:
Quote
an explosive
published in October 2009, which clearly showed that the vast majority of "swine flu cases" were not any type of flu at all, let alone H1N1! Rather, based on lab testing, the vast majority of people who reported flu-like symptoms had some other type of cold or upper respiratory infection. It's also worth noting that the lead researcher of thisLancet study, Dr. Fatimah Dawood, works for the CDCan agency that has a very clear interest in justifying the actions taken in response to the alleged swine flu pandemic, as well as justifying any future actions to a perceived pandemic, such as the now hyped bird flu.
And that the CDC decided since a 'pandemic' had already been established, it wasn't cost effective to test people anymore. Just assume every sick person had it. Prolonging the panic.

How to Protect Yourself Against the Flu Without Vaccination
While the media is sure to continue hyping the bird flu, I'd like to remind you that a healthy immune system is your best and primary defense against any viral threat. Following these simple guidelines will help you keep your immune system in optimal working order so that you're far less likely to acquire the infection to begin with.
- Optimize your vitamin D levels. As I've previously reported, optimizing your vitamin D levels is one of the absolute best strategies for avoiding infections of ALL kinds. This is probably the single most important and least expensive action you can take. I would STRONGLY urge you to have your vitamin D level monitored to confirm your levels are therapeutic at 50-70 ng/ml year-round.
An inexpensive option to get your vitamin D levels checked on a regular basis is to join the GrassrootsHealth D*action Project.- Avoid Sugar and Processed Foods. Sugar decreases the function of your immune system almost immediately. Be aware that sugar is present in foods you may not suspect, like ketchup and fruit juice.
- Get Enough Rest. Just like it becomes harder for you to get your daily tasks done if you're tired, if your body is overly fatigued it will be harder for it to fight the flu. Be sure to check out my article Guide to a Good Night's Sleep for some great tips to help you get quality rest.
- Have Effective Tools to Address Stress. We all face some stress every day, but if stress becomes overwhelming then your body will be less able to fight off the flu and other illness. If you feel that stress is taking a toll on your health, consider using an energy psychology tool such as the Emotional Freedom Technique, which is remarkably effective in relieving stress associated with all kinds of events, from work to family to trauma.
- Exercise. When you exercise, you increase your circulation and your blood flow throughout your body. The components of your immune system are also better circulated, which means your immune system has a better chance of finding an illness before it spreads.
- Take a Good Source of Animal-Based Omega-3 Fats. Increase your intake of healthy and essential fats like the omega-3 found in krill oil, which is crucial for maintaining health. It is also vitally important to avoid damaged omega-6 oils that are trans fats and in processed foods as it will seriously damage your immune response.
- Wash Your Hands. Washing your hands will decrease your likelihood of spreading a virus to your nose, mouth or other people. Be sure you don't use antibacterial soap for this -- antibacterial soaps are completely unnecessary, and they cause far more harm than good. Instead, identify a simple chemical-free soap that you can switch your family to.
- Use Natural Antibiotics. Examples include colloidal silver, oil of oregano, and garlic. These work like broad-spectrum antibiotics against bacteria, viruses, and protozoa in your body. And unlike pharmaceutical antibiotics, they do not appear to lead to resistance.
- Avoid Hospitals. I'd recommend avoiding hospitals unless you're having an emergency, as hospitals are prime breeding grounds for infections of all kinds and could be one of the likeliest places you could be exposed to any new bug. Also keep in mind that virtually all vaccinations will LOWER your immune system (this is the main job of the vaccine adjuvants), NOT make it stronger!
-------
See also this post for more ways to boost your immune system such as increasing IgA antibodies, your first line of defense against this type of infectious disease, with laughter, hugs, sex, and anything that stimulates the release of endorphins.
Recent study found that people on statins eat even worse and are getting fatter because they think they have license to slather more butter on their bread & the like. not that butter is a problem. And most likely they are slathering trans fat in the form of margerine on their slabs of refined empty high glycemic carbs.
Other studies have found that people on statins have higher rates of diabetes.
Of course, I doubt that's the only reason but of course they don't want to talk about the harm the drug does:
Statins result in lower testosterone, thus weight gain.
And lower energy levels, thus weight gain.
It inhibits the production of coq10& thus the mitochondria in your cells, lowering energy and causing joint pain,
then there's the diabetes, the cognitive impairment,
And lack of all the things cholesterol is needed for like hormones, vitamin d, bile & thus digestion (for energy)
Exercise is the best thing you can do, and statins make it harder to do it.
Statins are pure POISON nothing more a multi billion dollar industry , the body needs cholesterol to function properly especially the brain but good fats eg.. olive oil , butter NOT commercial oils especially the GMO variety . Long term use of Statins cause muscle wasting , Dementia , Alzheimer's all the fun stuff. Processed food IS the modern day killer no question throw in pharma drugs / vaccines and you have a perfect recipe for disaster. A much better approach would be a diet in organic produce , grass fed beef hormone / antibiotic free etc... and herbs like Hawthorn , Garlic , Linden , Motherwort and Cayenne peppers all cardiovascular power houses and of course moderate daily exercise is a must. It's inflammation that is the culprit NOT cholesterol .
Paper stating that more than half of all research findings are false for varying reasons:
"The probability that a research claim is true may depend on study power and bias, the number of other studies on the same question, and, importantly, the ratio of true to no relationships among the relationships probed in each scientific field. In this framework, a research finding is less likely to be true when the studies conducted in a field are smaller; when effect sizes are smaller; when there is a greater number and lesser preselection of tested relationships; where there is greater flexibility in designs, definitions, outcomes, and analytical modes; when there is greater financial and other interest and prejudice; and when more teams are involved in a scientific field in chase of statistical significance. Simulations show that for most study designs and settings, it is more likely for a research claim to be false than true. Moreover, for many current scientific fields, claimed research findings may often be simply accurate measures of the prevailing bias. In this essay, I discuss the implications of these problems for the conduct and interpretation of research."

Multiple new studies busting the high fat/cholesterol myths re Heart Disease. On top of all the other studies that have taken place over the last several decades. And the lack of real evidence that they ever did cause heart disease.
Conventional health care has insisted that you avoid fat while ignoring the true culprit sugars/refined carbs for decades. The very same decades in which diabetes, heart disease and more has skyrocketed becoming the fastest growing diseases in history. Previously such records involved infectious disease. These are all caused by lifestyle and are self inflicted.
Researchers also found that, if you're a woman, your risk for heart disease, cardiac arrest, and stroke are higher with lower cholesterol levels.3
They also did not find less heart disease among those eating higher amounts of unsaturated fat, including both olive oil and corn oil.5, 6
- In 2012, researchers at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology examined the health and lifestyle habits of more than 52,000 adults ages 20 to 74, concluding that women with "high cholesterol" (greater than 270 mg/dl) had a 28 percent lower mortality risk than women with "low cholesterol" (less than 183 mg/dl).
- In 2013, a prominent London cardiologist by the name of Aseem Malhotra argued in the British Medical Journal that you should ignore advice to reduce your saturated fat intake, because it's actually increasing your risk for obesity and heart disease.4
- Then in March 2014, a new meta-analysis published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, using data from nearly 80 studies and more than a half million people, found that those who consume higher amounts of saturated fat have no more heart disease than those who consume less.
Cholesterol plays important roles such as building your cell membranes, interacting with proteins inside your cells, and helping regulate protein pathways required for cell signaling. Having too little cholesterol may negatively impact your brain health, hormone levels, heart disease risk, and more.
And cholesterol needs saturated fat to function.

Really? All the fraud? The antibiotic resistant strains for which we have no treatment? The massive over drugging of the population? The deaths caused by the drugs? the fact that few doctors even know about the toxic effects of added sugar/refined carbs? They think it's just calories? Doctors telling people that sure diet and exercise are good, but what you really need is a drug? And when that drug causes a problem, we'll add another drug for that? The outrageous costs? The people going bankrupt? The fact that people have just been getting sicker and sicker despite all the wonder drugs? That all sounds fine to you?
It's not just obese smokers being harmed. Children now get diseases that should only occur in the elderly if then, like Type II diabetes. And obviously its a choice. (You say the most pointless things) And people need real information to make a good choice. Ignorance will eventually kill you.
But I'm glad you've learned that lifestyle causes disease. Breakthough!! Just yesterday you thought everything was 'just genetics.'
Lifestyle is also how chronic disease should be managed. And acne.

I highly doubt when someone dines at McDonald's they're utterly oblivious that what they're eating is unhealthy. They know, they don't care. It's a fact of life.
It's not ignorance it's will. You could teach a health class full of unhealthy obese people and try to explain everything you know in regards to nutrition and I guarantee you not one of them would listen to you.
Doctors sometimes only prescribe a drug to treat a disease that could very well be managed by lifestyle instead only because they know their patients won't stick to a diet.
Compulsion and addiction is behind obesity, not hidden additives. It's very psychological, trust me.

???? Why do you keep talking about obesity? This isn't about obesity. Its about our disaster of a health care system which applies to all people in which the doctors are clueless about nutrition.
You are awfully dismissive of those obese people, btw. That's mean. They do listen and learn and make changes and get better. People obese or not make lifestyle changes and reverse their health care issues. Because that's the right way to do it..
Why would I trust you? You've said nothing but silly things.
Also you are human like everyone else. Your body will break down eventually and you will age and die. It may be sooner then you think despite your best efforts, you never know when the Big C will hit for instance. You aren't immortal just because you indulge in salads with organic dressing, you are going to die one day like everyone else.

More silly pointless comments. I'm going to die???? Oh no. And you tell me I am hateful and bitter.
The planet is filled with populations with very high numbers of centenarians living healthy active lives. Because they've always eaten a natural diet not loaded with crap and they've lived active lifestyles. While this country is filled with people on mobility scooters bankrupt by drug costs.
And I rarely eat salads, btw. Quit imagining things to make up for what you don't know.
And the fact that you seem to think that obesity is the only negative consequence from our diets shows that you are clueless about health and nutrition. When you eat stuff. Stuff happens.
Article reviewing one doctors book on the reliability of medical testing:
I'm curious about the recent Consumer Reports on pesticides & contaminants in food. Their list of what you should only eat organic and what is ok to have conventionally grown is very different from the EWG.org's Dirty Dozen & Clean 15 lists. I want to know why it's different. Has something changed in growing methods in conventional ag? unlikely. Or is there some problem with testing methods.
