well ive been using acv i never really gave the H&S a go cause i think it broke me out. and i read about afircan black soap all over the net and a little on acne.org it looks pretty promising. besides by the time it gets here that will be day 18 or 19 with acv which i think is long enough to be able to see any improvement at all with the toner. if i dont see any improvements by 20 im moving on thats all.
day 14 yes 2 weeks!
my actually acne has died down a bit but my PIH is terrible, i figured since i was using ACV for both it would have calmed down by now but it hasnt done much, maybe just more time!, also do you think it would be ok to use honey mask and/or oatmeal cleansing while im doing the acv?

Everyone else appears to have given up on this thread, so I'll try to answer. I don't know anything about PIH, honey masks or oatmeal cleansing. What does PIH do to you? Are you still using ACV internally and externally? As long as you are trying to see if ACV works topically, you probably shouldn't use anything that would interfere with it.
I have used both acv diluted in water and acv pills, and I have had positive results with both methods. The pills are a bit more expensive (I pay $13 for 180 pills at my local health food store) howevever, for me the pills are more convenient, don't taste as bad, and is easier to take along when going out of town. I take two pills in the am and two pills in the pm. I have also switched in between liquid form and pill form and I have noticed no difference between the two. As long as I take acv consistantly I don't have as many breakouts.
Where is everyone else? Did you all abandon this thread? I'm not even using ACV, but i still want to know if it works.Day 12
acv just ran out and im not sure if i should go get another bottle because my acne still pretty much looks the same as when i started.. although i had a bad break out around day 9 and it cleared it up finally.. but im also afraid to quit just incase it is working.. any one??
I know I stopped using it after only a week, but if you don't have any side effects and it's not making your acne worse, I think you should keep using it for at least a month. That way you will know if it works or not, and you will not waste the 12 days you already spent on it. If I didn't have so many weird side effects I would still be using it...
Keep using it. I initially started taking acv because I heard that it can help with weight loss. I don't remember when exactly my face began clearing up, but it did work well for me. Now if I don't take it for just 2 days I start to break out.
I just started using acv topically as a cleansing toner. I mixed 1 Tbs acv with 3 Tbs water, dip a cottonball in the solution and rub it over my face after I have washed the skin. I just started doing this yesterday so I don't know what the results will be.
My suggestion is to keep using for at least 1-2 months. It may take that long for the acv to detox your skin and clear it up. Once you have taken it for that long and if your skin has not cleared up this may not be the right method for your skin. Everyone's skin is so different so acv may not work for everyone. For me it has worked wonders and I have been very pleased with the results.

hey thanks for the advice ive actually stopped taking acv for about 7 days now and i still havent broken out from not taking it. i now use honey and im already starting to see slight results in that although i didnt see any improvement with the acv. thats just my story, i took 4 teaspoons internally a day and i also applie 2 teaspoons diluted in the morning and at night for 2 weeks + i just gave up on it cause i ran out. i was thinking of getting more and giving it another try though i was at the store today and almost picked some up. maybe i will go back. thanks for the reply!
yes its only like 3 bucks and its at walmart and whatever grocery store you have, look in the oil and vinegar aisle. but you have to get "BRAGGS 100% organic" type it has the 'mother' in it which is the stuff that floats at the bottom. although good luck with it i had no improvements what so ever with ACV but many ppl say they do. its supposed to be used to lighten redmarks left after acne not neccessarily reduced or prevent acne. you can drink it or apply topically. you must dilute with water both ways its too much acid for the throat and the skin on face non diluted.
So far, on this thread, ACV seems to have worked for Ukulala, Jess1228 and beachbum143.
It has not worked for me, Nuke Acne, Callum, Chamilitary Mayne, and dreamingofclearskin2011.
So it worked for 3 people and it didn't work for 5. Just trying to help you guys decide if you want to try it or not.

It helps in several ways. And those ways apply to everyone, provided their skin or digestive system isn't too sensitive for it. But it's unlikely that it alone, with in crap diet and unhealthy lifestyle, will clear anyone.
Diluted and applied topically - it's mildly exfoliant and restores PH after cleansing which means it helps the skin protect itself from microbes.
Diluted and ingested prior to meals -it reduces the glycemic impact of foods and aids digestion. And is anti-microbial.
The difference from person to person is degree of effect primarily due to the degree to which that person needs that effect in light of what else they do. It doesn't exfoliate some people and not others. It doesn't restore PH in some people and not others. It doesn't reduce glycemic impact in some and not others....
Rinse your mouth afterward to get the acid off your teeth. And you can buy any organic brand with the mother.
Hey everyone I'm George and I'm here to put my 2 cents in. I use clean and clear morning burst and normal wash and astringent. If I can give anyone advice on acne id say. Eat your servings of veggies and fruits. Drink tea, like green tea, and black tea. Drink water. Don't eat crap, fast food is a fast no no. I have mild acne, it's getting better as I Change my lifestyle. I'll start posting pics. I plan to stay like this for a while. I have tan skin, I thought tanning is good, it's a quick cure if you have a wedding to go to or something, but then you'll feel the wrath of acne trust me. I should receive my ACV pills by this week and my Multi vitamins. I'll post weeky pictures. Just to update on my progress. Good luck on the battle towards acne!!!
I really love me some apple cider vinegar! I take 2 tablespoons in the mourning then another 2 tablespoons before bed. Make sure you drink a cup a water with it because ACV adsorbs a lot of toxins in your body, so you need to drink a glass a water to help flush out all of toxins.
I recently ingested undiluted ACV before realising it should be diluted. It burnt a lot. Had migraine and pale stools for 5 days (hoping the pale stools will rectify soon). But it led me to this medical article about the dangers associated with pancreas:I did some research about the cause of pale stools, and I found many websites that said the same thing. Here is one of them:
http://www.livestrong.com/article/432355-pale-stool-diet/
Basically, bile causes the stool to turn a healthy brown color, and when bile is blocked, the stool turns pale or clay-colored. This means the ACV capsules are somehow blocking my bile. That is not good, since bile is needed for the proper absorption of fats.
I have a bad feeling about the ACV capsules I am using. So far I have experienced only negative effects. Normally I would use something for at least a few weeks to see if it works, but I might stop taking ACV soon. As of now, I will still use it, but I might decide to stop using it in the next few days.
