So you are 23 years old as of now. It's almost time for your hormones to have settled down and your skin complete it's change. We are the same, I started acne too at 13 and hormones triggered it. Also tried everything I know that might help my acne problem all those years. Our only difference is age. I am currently 19 so my hormones are still quite active but is going to settle down in these coming days, months or years.
This is my conclusion on why you don't yet experience the oily skin and dead skin. On top of that you are still getting new spots, so here it is:
a. your skin is still damaged.
b. your skin is in mature state.
c. it will take time to see a change immediately.
d. your work, simply aggravates the problem by keeping you get new spots. and may hinder in the success of this regimen.
Note: I want to clarify that your work is of course not a hinder for life. If ever you successfully completed this regime and recovered your healthy clear skin then you can absolutely return to your builder work.
There's a sensitivity in our cases of acne. This regimen requires a semi-quarantine atmosphere to effectively work. I think I have included a quarantine requirement in the regimen on it's first release but then I decided to remove it because I thought most people here confine themselves to safe environments and did not know that there are people here that is exposed to harsh environments like you.(Edit: I did put some words about a semi-quarantine, it is in the What is my Regimen part, I'm getting forgetful these past few days )
At this stage, our acne prone skins is comparable to burnt skins in the sense that they are both damaged. To heal a burnt skin it needs to be quarantined to avoid acquiring disease causing bacteria. In the same sense, we are going to semi-quarantine our acne prone skin "but" because it is not as severe as a burnt skin, we can still live in a normal daily environment only with sensitivity to lots of things.
Solution to your case:
a. you must find time to give yourself a semi-quarantined environment for at least a month. the longer the better though.
You might find this solution a bit discouraging but considering the burden of the harsh environment, this is the best one I can and will give. And if we decide otherwise, that is to force this regimen through in your case then you might be disappointed in the end with getting no results. Discouraging you more on the most potent solution to our acne problem just because of not meeting an important point which is to quarantine a healing skin.
You must all consider the explanation I gave above because we are all in the same situation.
Thanks for yuor advice wapak. Today my skin looks a little better, although it was exposed to some cement dust but I still aint washing it! I am on day 10 and i washed it once wit water running down my face (bottled water)
I am taking a True food All Man vitamins (from highernature.com), also Cod Liver OIl 1000mg, Zinc Gluconate 10mg, EPA Fish Oil Concentrate 1000mg and I have 1 teaspoon of organic acid cider vinegar a day in half a pint of water.
I will update you tommorrow guys, I do not look dry at all at the moment, just few pimples and red marks (lingering red marks)

Good to hear that.. it's just that I don't want to take the risk but still the end-decision is yours. So with your decision we will all do our best to help you out.
Btw, I'm not telling you to quit.. but probably just have a vacation or something like that. Anyway, let's hold on to this and see what it do to us.
hey wapak! i think that washing my face 1x a day is enough for my face. coz my face got a lot better after not washng it for 2 days and wash it with a mild soap and water after your regimen. my face improve a lot. no more new pimps but the red marks on my jaw are not fading yet. simply because i dont use topicals to whitens it coz i think it will irritate my face. all the dried pus is gone. amazing! before my regimen is washing my face with clean and clear 2x a day and at night i put the green cream and poof! it became coco crunch! and now, i'll stick to my new regimen, washing my face only daytime with mild soap and water. hehe

yow, it's good to hear from you again! and i'm very happy on the good news that this regimen saved you from future years of embarrassment! yes, as I've said before you don't have to follow the guide by words but by sticking to it's concept "because" it works on a case to case basis.
anyway, to answer your few dilemmas and to give you bits of advice too:
1. your skin can only remove the red marks through exfoliation, which happens in the flaking stage of this regimen, and the marks may become permanent if not shed by the skin. But because you wash, your skin is having a hard time to exfoliate. We are going to have our summer vacation soon. You better let your skin exfoliate while on vacation, and surprise them with your healthy clear skin the next time you bump into anyone you know or not know!
2. if you will, please just wash your face before you sleep with that mild soap of yours. think of it this way, you wash in the morning with water and soap removing your natural barrier and moisturizer which we call acid mantle, then you go outside and God knows what you get there. There's a high possibility that you will break out in no time with a skin that is not yet fully healed. If you can't do this, then please wash every other day(or less frequent like every 3 or 4 days) to at least give your skin time to relax or heal itself. If you still don't want to do that, then please remember to look back here once you break out again. I'm not scaring you or dictating you, I'm just concerned with you because I know how it feels to have acne due to damaged skin.
3. you are now free from this regimen! you now live a healthy lifestyle! when you were still a kid washing your face, do you call that regimen? Of course not, right? Calling your daily healthy lifestyle a regimen will make you paranoid on thinking of what if you break out again. It will remind you of acne, which can make you feel depressed and is certainly not good for living your life to the fullest.
God bless and have fun living your life to the fullest dude!

Mat, I am re-commenting on you because I rushed my other reply due to some other business and I just realized that you are taking a lot of supplements. I made a look at fish-oil reviews here in Acne.org and saw a positive reviews. http://www.acne.org/fish-oil-reviews/402/page1.html
And they are also taking a combo of supplements so I won't be surprised on what you have. Your breakouts on your post here, clickme!, are most probably just a transition period from whatever your are doing before you switched to this regimen. The reason why you don't experienced dead skin and oily skin immediately is because of the supplements you are taking. But if the reviews on your regimen is correct then I believe that this regimen plus your supplements will make you clear in no time. You see, it looks a little better now, though it might look worse again in the coming days so hang in there dude! The proof that I can say to indicate that this regimen is working is the flaking stage which will clear red marks and blemishes. This is not yet established though so don't worry much if there's no flaking yet in your case.
Thanks for the reply wapak
Yes I agree with you about the supplements, I might experience less flaking as I am taking so much supplements?
Cheers mat
I believe your combo of supplements is supposed to reduce acne by reducing oiliness as I have read in other threads because they think that oiliness is a bad thing causing acne "which" is not true.
But the thing here in this regimen is that we do have to experience oiliness to re-balance the skin's way of doing things without our further intervention. Once our skin restored it's proper oil function, then the flaking starts to remove blemishes and all those nasty results of our futile attempt to make and keep our face clear of acne. This is based on my very own experience(read my log) as well as the experience of those who did this successfully. Now in your case, it is advisable that you have to drop your supplements as well. Then again, I leave the decision to you.
For me, oiliness and flaking is the sign that your skin is still actively trying to heal itself. Which in turn shows that this regimen is working and will restore your healthy skin.
hey! I really try to follow this regimen and so far it's all been good.. my problem is that I exercise and sweat alot and I don't know if I should shower my face or just let the sweat air dry? I have tried both and what I notice is that my face looks really bad when I let water touch it, but the thought of letting the sweat dry on my face makes me think that it will make my acne worse, it haven't happen yet but I don't know, what do you think?
I have really dry and flaky skin, and everytime I let water touch it it becomes even drier. I hate that tight feeling in my skin when I smile or eat..
will air dried sweat make it worse or will my skin continue the healing process?
Thank you for putting this thread together, I've also read jan carlo, waterwater, alex and adam threads and really believe in this!

let your sweat air dry, waterwater did it too and didn't break him out and some others too that I can't recall the names.
If you keep on watering your face the more horrible it looks and feel and the longer the process will take. Btw, it seems that your water is chlorinated? try filtering it or buy a bottled water to see if the feeling changes.
Keep us posted dude! Don't hesitate to ask questions but make sure not to be redundant.

Thanks! I will buy bottled water and try first.
haha yea sorry, english is not my first language and I just wanted to make myself clear.
How are things working out for you? are you on a "diet" also or just eat healthy but no restrictions?

it's fine, your english is good enough.
my face currently looks horrible but this is a sign that this works and I am more excited thinking of the result than thinking of my skins current condition. i don't do diet, just eat healthy with no restrictions. I haven't found a food that breaks me out so nothing stops me on that front. I don't drink sodas and the like though. And I am trying to cut out eating junk foods and eat fruits instead.
keep a positive outlook!
There's plenty of room between the extreme of washing with harsh cleansers and applying harsh topicals and not washing your face at all. And just because those harsh cleansers and topicals are damaging, it does not follow that it's beneficial to not wash at all. That's just gross. Every creature on the planet cleans itself in some way. And there are plenty of testimonials of people who cleared their skin yet still wash their face. I'm one. And btw, your skin sheds dead skin cells daily whether or not you let your face be covered with dry flaky skin.
Once again, I have to ask, why is everyone so extreme?

lol, dude. You don't get the point. You only don't wash for like one month for a full skin renewal cycle to replace your damaged skin! After that having a renewed skin then voila! Introduce water little by little to give it time to adjust. If it's that gross, then you are saying your ancestors are gross. And yes, there are also lots of people who are cleared in the first place that washes with water but that is not the point here. And you also don't get the purpose of dead skin cells in this regimen.
I have to rephrase your question, why is everyone so extreme to the point of putting lathers of chemicals on their faces, swallowing deadly pills, etc? While there is a way to solve their acne problems, through diet, vigilance from foods that breaks them out and a lot more which are natural. It's just that these not washing face for some time is needed to recover from the damaged skin. Is it that hard to understand?
And you have to admit it, the concept behind your regimen is already integrated in this All Natural Regimen. It's just that I am not slamming into peoples faces what they should swallow or what not because different people, different reaction! It sucks, but it's true.
wapak, u along with adam08 and waterwater are God-sends regardless of whatever the haters say on here. Through my own experiences over the years I see how this works. When my acne was at it's worst I was using several different acne medications, eating healthy, exercising like crazy (played high school ball) and I still suffered from acne. When i was in middle school and just fresh into high school I never had acne....why? 1) I didn't rape my face with chemicals everyday and 2)I hadn't hit hormonal inbalances yet. I think the reason why America has an acne epidemic is that we are so much about appearance and instant gratification. We freak out when we get our first measly little zits/pimples and then see these "acne-cure" ads on T.V. and go run out and buy their products thinking it'll cure us. I'm not in anyway saying that I would never have had a pimple if I hadn't started washing my face (it's inevitable for some teens to get acne based on puberty alone), but I guarantee I wouldn't be worrying about it now because it would have naturally gone away. For those of you who still are skeptical about this....look around at people. Do you really think that your middle-aged college professor cleanses, tones, and moisturizes his face 2x a day? do u think ur 8-year old cousin carefully washes his face everyday? do u think that every kid at your school/college washes their face regularly, do you? My point is that society has somehow came up with this image that if you don't wash your face/shower regularly that ur abnormal/unclean. When in fact it seems to me that going to such great lengths using hotions and potions to keep yourself clean seems weird. I was reading Time magazine the other day and they showed a picture of a mother and a daughter up-close in one of these 3rd-world countries and their skin was absolutely flawless! Now I'm no expert, but I don't think that they have available to them exfoliating scrubs, Clearasil, or Neutrogena and their skin looks great.
Our ancestors are gross? Our ancestors had water too buddy.
Terrible idea to not use water on your face. Though the information about dropping foods that give you acne is right.
Let's see what this terrible idea for you will do to me. Lots of people already proved what this terrible idea did to them. I'm only on my day 9 so there's still almost 21 days to go to see a big difference. I got tired of trying to slam these truth into clueless people's faces like you. I think I'm forcing it too much but still, I know what they are going through for I went on the exact same thing!
Now, I don't care anymore if I can persuade you or not. I just don't care anymore.
Thank you so much for the kind words. It definitely helps me get over with the stress I got from those clueless people. And yes, what you explained are facts. The type of facts that companies and most professionals fear of getting unveiled. But nonetheless, we are the blessed ones to be awakened from this horrible delusion.
ok i been reading these post for months now about not using anything on your face and want to try it so bad but its so hard to get out of my old habits. I am 22 years old had acne since i was 13 and i have been using Benzamycin for about 7 years now and i want everyone to know do NOT rely on BP. I have used it morning and night for that long and have damaged my skin bad. The skin tone is horrible and i have a red tint to my face and it looks like it gave me premature aging but i havent noticed it until about a year ago. If i stand far from the mirror i look fine but the closer i get to it the worse i look and thats when i started realizing i have to stop this. Ive never used it on my forehead and i barely get acne there. The only places i really get acne now is my chin and on my inner cheeks closer to nose area but i kept using BP because you always here if you stop using it then you will break out. Well a few months ago i stopped washing and putting anything on part of my face near the temple area like by the ears on both sides of my face and the redness has reduced and i do not get acne there. I want to slowly inch my way further onto my face without washing at all becasue i keep thingking if its working for that part of my face it will work for the rest. I have a few questions though i use pure vitamin e oil at night for scars and it actually really helps my complexion of my face could i keep putting that on at night its usually all dissolved by morning and it is natural? Also could i spot treat existing acne until it is gone my face is clear except for my chin so maybe i could just wash and use the bp on my chin until it clears but i really want to try this but im clear now im just scared if i try this then i wont be but my skin tone really needs help its worse then acne

I know the dilemma your now going through dude. I thought so too that if I try this out I might break out once again. But if you read my log I haven't breakout so far. I also have pictures there. Mine is mostly on the jaw lines though. My forehead and cheeks are almost clear when I started this. But now my skin is correcting the blemishes hidden by using BP.
Btw, using BP to spot treat will leave a red mark that takes very long time to fade. I have a pimple every now and then in this regimen but they are smaller than before and heals easily too. I guess no spot treatment is needed. I have this proactive sulfur mask that is great at spot treatment but I don't use it anymore. I just keep hanging here doing nothing and instead of thinking about my face I exert my energy on other things like helping people out here to realize the truth.
Btw, guys another info:
After being on this regimen experiencing everything being said about what you'll experience in this regimen, I have came to a conclusion as to what happens.
Here's the cycle when we are still irritating our faces:
Healthy Skin -> First pimple -> Use Topicals or anything out there -> Damaged Skin -> Acne -> Use regimens(washing, cleansing, moisturizing) -> Dryness -> Not wash -> Oiliness -> Wash -> Continues using regimens w/ topicals in a never ending cycle of acne prob.
Now here's the cycle of our radical regimen:(we start with damaged skin)
Damaged Skin -> Not Wash -> Excessive Oiliness -> Oiliness subsides -> Oil on top of skin keeps dead skin cells as a from of protection -> Acid Mantle Restored -> Normal Oil Production -> Shed dead skin cells because of no oil on top of skin(oil is now beneath skin) -> Normal Exfoliation -> Healthy Skin -> If damaged again Back to square one
As I tell you guys, understand the biology of your skin then you'll understand why this regimen makes sense.

what if you still have dry skin? It could be due to the cold weather here maybe..
Update;
about 3 weeks now, some days I wash with water some days I don't wash at all. everything is going good, no new breakouts but still dry and flaky skin.

I saw that you went on to accutane, they say accutane squeeze your glands to make them produce less oil. That's probably a factor on your dry skin.
Can you tell me your experience on the first few days? Like did you ever have a day where you got very oily face and such.

yes I was on accutane and it helped alot, but if I remember right I was oily last summer and that was after accutane. But the weather here now is below 0 and very windy so I really think that's my problem.
The first days was like a normal, dry and tight etc (but without dead skin cells). All I know is that my skin becomes better and better when I just let it be on it's own. But in school I have to train and shower everyday, so I never really have the chance to leave it alone.
I used bottled water today but its too soon to say if it's any better.
Hey dudes. I've been on the no washing regimen for 4 days and I am shocked how my skin is looking better and not breaking out. I thought I was totally dependent on BP and nothing else would ever work. I'm 23 and I've had acne since i was in elementary school. Why oh why have I been so stupid all these years and bought all this crap and put it on my face? I've tried the water only reg and both times I did it I looked like total ass. However, leaving it alone has so far yielded impressive results. Perhaps the problem I had with water was the temperature of it??
I actually cleared up when I was 18 by unknowingly doing the same thing. I just didn't realize why at the time. Then as I began washing my face with water again it slowly got bad again. Man, if it just would have occurred to me then I would have saved myself 5 years of emotional pain.
I'll keep you all updated
