| Pros | Clear skin/complexion Noticeable reduction is blackhead or Sebaceous filaments |
|---|---|
| Cons | Left two small cyst |
| Bottom line | I considered this supplement a double edge sword. I've read other reviews regarding their problems with cyst after consuming fish oil so therefore I was kind of expecting it. Two small cyst that hurts minimally when touched, but it wasn't too bad at all. Now on the other side the blackheads or Sebaceous filaments (not sure which) is reduced significantly. And my face complexion has really beginning to glow. All I did was taking one pill a day for 2 days. I'm very sensitive to stuff like medicine and supplement, I don't know if that got to do with anything. I probably try 1 pill a week. LOL. I would def. give this a try and take it slow and see what happens. Ex. don't take 5-10 pills at first. I also use Mama M2 20% lotion. |

| Pros | Many other health benefits! (Heart, eye, metabolism, and even shiny hair!) |
|---|---|
| Cons | If not properly made, can become rancid, negatively affecting health. |
| Bottom line | I'm rating this based on what I've heard, not my own experience because I have only been taking these for a week. The reason why I'm posting, is to let readers know that I read some interesting things on several web pages on Fish Oil. I read that if not capsuled with an antioxidant, such as Vitamin E, the pills can become rancid, and in a shorter period of time than you might think! They should at the very least be made with d-alpha Tocopherol which although less effective (and less expensive) should prevent the pills from becoming rancid. I suggest spending a bit more in order to ensure protection from rancid oil. Just a warning, because it sounds fishy lol. Just be sure they are also purified, and contain deep sea fish, or have the fish specified. Also, Fish oil just makes sense to me because products that reduce inflammation in the skin are generally good for acne. Many acne sufferers are prescribed anit-biotics, which work to reduce inflammation, so this makes sense. I paid ten dollars on GNC softcaps 300mg per capsule. |

| Pros | Skin felt softer and smoother Acne started to clear up Good for heart |
|---|---|
| Cons | None |
| Bottom line | I've been taking 2 pills in the morning and 2 after dinner for about a week now, and I've noticed my skin has gotten a lot better. My skin used to be really sensitive and I would be afraid to even touch my face in fear of irritating my skin and breaking out with pimples. I've tried over the counter stuff and benzaclin, and none of it really worked. It did nothing to prevent it and I still ended up getting pimples. After taking fish oil for about a week, I started to notice my skin looking smoother and less bumpy. Even after a week it made a huge difference. I definitely would recommend taking fish oil, it can't hurt and its good for you anyways. |

| Pros | Soft hair and skin. Face is almost completely clear. Skin less oil. Happy mood. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Really bad skin purging at first. Sometimes fish burps. |
| Bottom line | Well I've been struggling with acne for about 15 years. I'm hoping fish oil will completely clear me up. So far good results. I've only been taking this for 2 weeks and feeling positive. I started taking the Nature Made brand. It has 720mg omega 3 in 2 softgels meaning it only has 360mg omega 3 in 1 softgel. Doesn't list the exact amount of EPA/DHA. There may be a lot of fillers. I read for good results you must take in about 3-4 grams of omega-3. So I took 10 of these softgels per day equaling to 3.6 grams/day for about a week. Initially my skin purged in which I expected because I have a lot of acne, the cystic kind. Then towards the end of the week the cysts started to get smaller and breakouts less. Cost me about $10 for 100 softgels. You can buy in a drugstore/grocery store. New week now...I decided to take Arctic Pure Ultra Potency Omega3 Fish Oil. This one I got from a health food store. In 1 softgel it has EPA 450mg, DHA 340mg plus other omega-3 60mg equaling to 850mg of omega-3. WOW!!! So far, I love this one! I only have to take 4 softgels (3.4 grams)/day. My hair and skin feel amazingly soft and skin is definitely clearing up. I hope it keeps doing that. Only bad thing about this brand is it cost me $35 for 120 softgels so I only have a month supply. But It is so worth it. In this brand I believe in better results. The fish oil is molecularly distilled, high EPA & DHA content, and less fillers. For those of you afraid of skin purging, don't be!!! It might last for a week or 2 but once you get past it...you'll have great skin. I'm speaking to myself too...LOL. |

| Pros | Made my hair shiny, my nails grew like crazy, and my skin softer. |
|---|---|
| Cons | It made my acne worse, although I had soft skin, it made me break out with cystic acne, LOTS! |
| Bottom line | Had some helpful effects, but overall was horrible for my acne. Before taking this product I had only had probably 2 Cysts in my entire life, and this made me get them like CRAZY! And they are such a pain in the butt. |

| Pros | - Reduces Acne - Softer Skin |
|---|---|
| Cons | - Does Not Get Rid Of Ance - If You Stop Taking It You Will Break Out |
| Bottom line | I was impressed with fish oil at first. It works well and really cleared up my face. So I stopped taking it for about a week and my acne got a lot worse. Once you start you cannot stop taking it. It is a nice easy way to prevent big pimples. |

| Pros | you just swallow smooth soft skin - relief flaky dry skin if you are on acne treatments natural and no side effects if used correctly |
|---|---|
| Cons | carry them with you as you need to take them with meals |
| Bottom line | I used to have moderate acne, including alot of painful cystic acne that would last for weeks and weeks. I have very dry skin because of acne treatments, but the fish oil has really helped and I believe it has lightened my scars a fair bit! most who are experiencing initial breakouts is due to your skin purging! Like anything that detoxes internally, you must be patient and also use topical treatments to minimize symptoms. just give it a try, it' natural and you probably don't get enough in your diet anyway. does amazing things for your hair as well |

| Pros | There are no side effects! Takes a second to swallow Works very well! |
|---|---|
| Bottom line | I had moderate acne all over my face and the fish oil has seriously made my acne become less red. It had cut down on a ton of the inflammation. I've also been drinking a lot of water, but these fish oil pills have been working wonders. I take 4 a day (2 morning, 2 night) and I don't think I'll ever stop taking them. They're great |

| Pros | Cysts caused by acne are gone |
|---|---|
| Cons | Takes a few months to see complete results I have to carry pills around with me so I can take them when I am not at home |
| Bottom line | It didn't clear up all my acne, but it did get rid of painful cysts. Before this, the only thing that would get rid of these cysts was birth control. In conjunction with retin-A (0.025%) I'm completely clear. Without fish oil, the retin-A just makes the cysts worse. I buy 1200mg fish oil from Costco, and I take 6 a day. I've tried taking less, but the cysts start to emerge again. I eat very healthy and exercise. I found this on [link removed]. You can search through thousands of research articles done on acne. Fish oil had proven results! |

| Pros | helped clear my acne, hyperpigmentation and leaves my skin alot smoother and less oily. |
|---|---|
| Cons | none as far as i can tell |
| Bottom line | I've read several reviews on here with people saying this does not work, but most of the people do not know how to dose fish oil properly. If done correctly it can do miracles for your skin. I use NOW ultra omega 3 which contains 500 mg of EPA and 250 mg of DHA per capsules (one of the most potent fish oil formulas on the market at a cheap price). I take 4 of these with spread out through the day with my meals or snacks. EPA is an inflammatory and for most people to notice any kind of a difference in their skin (especially those with more severe acne) I would suggest getting in atleast 1.5-2 grams/ day. I guarantee atleats 80% of the reviewers here that is giving fish oil a bad name is using cheap, low concentrated fish oil capsules and are simply not getting enough EPA into their bodies to notice any dramatic difference. I've experimented with different dosages already, at 1 gram my acne calmed down alot, but i would still get occasional pimples, at 2 grams of EPA now daily, I haven't had any new pimples for around 2 weeks. Bottom line- make sure you get enough EPA and DHA into you daily (2g/1g) -buy an ultra concentrated fish oil like NOW ULTRA OMEGA 3 -take capsules with meals to improves its digestion, dont take them all at once or some of the acid will not get absorbed. -GIVE IT TIME, it will take atleast 2-3 months to really start noticing dramatic changes in your skin, health, and well being. DO NOT rush this process, it does work. |
