Pros: Great for heart. Cons: Causes severe acne breakout on some people. Watch Out!! Bottom Line: I'm 35, never had an acne breakout as bad as now in my entire life.. I am really concerned and have contemplated seeing a dermatologist. I am thinking of trying a better brand. But I am really sketptical at this point.. My skin on face has gone from normal to worse not better contrary to other peoples testimonies. I use the Omega 3 --1,000 Mg twin pack from Spring Valley. Sold at Walmart. Pros: good for your heart Cons: significant increase in oil production, thus resulting in more acne Bottom Line: Alright, I have been taking fish oil supplements for about two and a half months. I read so many great reviews and was so excited to try them out. About a week in, I began experiencing huge cystic pimples on my chin. By the way, I don't think I have ever had a "cystic" pimple in my life. I just can't understand what I am doing wrong. I have been using oil blotting sheets like crazy. It looks so gross. I used to only have an oily t-zone...now I have oil all over my nose, entire forehead, chin, and cheeks. It's absolutely unreal. I'm a biology major, so I'm just completely astounded that fish oil could give you anything but positive benefits! I'm going to quit them and see what happens. I know that there is documented evidence that fish oil is very effective, I just can't understand why it doesn't wok for some people. Pros: It helps depression, and helps control skin tone and smoothness Cons: None..Just learn to over look the pill size. Hahahaha. Bottom Line: This is the only thing that has helped me after accutaine. I have had one big breakout from the weather changing (I think, or slacking on my dosage). I take about 3000mg a day, anything less causes my skin to dry and makes me prone to depression again. Recommended: Yes Usage: Reviewer has used this item for a few months. Pros: wonderful!!!! and clean Cons: remembering to take them Bottom Line: Ive only been taking fish oil for 4 days, my skin is completely clear. I also use natural african black soap.... Im so happy with the results. the fish oil has made me more confident!!! natural products are not only good for your skin, they dont reverse... everything ive tried just made my skin try and fight back, I'm 21 and this is the first time in my entire life im acne free. Pros: skin is softer, old acne scars are healing Cons: none Bottom Line: Needs to be taken consistently. i have been using proactiv for the past 2 years and i decided it was too harsh on skin (skin was dry). when i stopped i had acne breakout on my chin. i tried going to have glycolic acid peel for 3 months (1 fornightly) and products endorsed by the clinic however i still got severe acne around my chin and cheeks. Decided i had enought of spending money on chemicals peels and blue and red light therapy as it didnt work. i went to the vitamins store am taking the following: Morning 2 fish oils 1 primrose oil 1 Milk Thistle 2 Vitex 1 Echinecia Recommended: Yes Usage: Reviewer has used this item for a few weeks. Pros: Seems to help me focus better at work. Cons: Deep deep painful pimples develop. Bottom Line: Every time I read another article about the stellar benefits related to fish oil, I go back to my bottle and decide to try them again. About a day or 2 later, painful sores begin to develop. I have moderate acne which has been pretty calm lately. The only time I seem to have flare-ups are when I resume taking fish oil capsules. Pros: Brightened Complextion...ALOT Face is less oily More energy Cons: Didn't really help with acne healing and I've still been getting breakouts Bottom Line: I've only used these for two weeks so there's still time for improvement. Pros: Cleared skin skin not as oily Cons: none Bottom Line: I have suffered from acne for several years. Nothing seemed to work permanently. I tried a liver cleanser for 30 days while taking fish oil supplements. My skin cleared within the first couple of weeks and haven't had any reocurrences. I now take fish oil 2 a day in the evening along with a multivitamin and calcium. Recommended: Yes Usage: Nat has used this item for a few months. Cons: None whatsoever Bottom Line: Been trying and using prescription products and nothing work this fine, and also works with your body not against it like antibiotics or accutane. Pros: -Fast -Easy to remember -Clears acne if patient! Cons: -Large pills, scary to take at first Bottom Line: I have been taking 5 fish oil pills each day for about a week and my skin is just glowing! I have not had any new breakouts and my current pimples are shrinking fast. I'm 15, so hormones aren't on my side at the moment, but my skin hasnt looked better since I was 9! Compared to Proactiv and other chemical treatments, the fish oil pills are very cheap, and In my opinion, work even better. Try them! Recommended: Yes Usage: Em has used this item for a few weeks.
