I received it today. It was super fast. I only want to take 10 grams per day so that would be only 1 1/2 teaspoons per day right??

uhh no, it would be about 3 teaspoons a day. Atleast that's how much it is on my B5 blend. B5 Complete I believe is 4.

Oh, you're right I only want to take 5g per day instead of 10g. That's why I said 1/2 a teaspoon 3 times a day. Did you get an outbreak when you started taking b5??

I'm one month in and have not yet seen a breakout. Though, I'm also doing botchla's regimen, so that's been keeping me clear. I'm only using B5 to get rid of the oily skin.

Question.....

I started taking penicillin because I had a wisdom tooth that got infected. I kept taking b5 and I think it interfered with the penicillin effectiveness. I got the wisdom tooth removed today and the dentist prescribed me more penicillin so I don't know what to do..... I don't want to stop taking my low dosage of b5(5g). Should I keep taking it???? Thanks guys.

I dont think B5 can have any kind of contraindication with penicillin. If you are worried just phone up your pharmacy and ask them.

Man , I only want to take 5g of b5 but it seems impossible because I can't measure it. I know it would be 1 1/2 teaspoons per day but there are different teaspoons sizes you know... What would you recommend me???? smile.gif

@ Zap

go out and buy a real teaspoon. As in, one used for measuring. It's a small expense but it will save you a lot of hassle in the long run!

I took b5 two yrs ago. I started very low 2g, my acne was mild/moderate at the time. I went up to 4g the second month. It took 1 month for me to notice some results and by the forth month i was 80-90% clear the only reason why i stayed at 4g was because i couldnt afford to buy it on a regular basis...anyhoo i was on b5 for almost a year with Hardly any acne but came off it cos it was causing chronic fatigue and i was often hungary for no reason and yes u guessed it my acne came back......since then i've been on accutane but had to come off for health reasons. Im going to try b5 again because trust me people IT WORKS eusa_clap.gif

To counteract the side effects of taking megadoses of B5, you need B-100 complex, OptiZinc and Biotin.  Sometimes they are all included in a B complex vitamin.  My suggestion if you don't want taking so many vitamins is to supplement with a Mega multivitamin such as this:

Mega Multiple III

Contains the required dose of B-complex, optizinc & biotin with an added bonus of a multivitamin which contains all the necessary ingredients for optimum health and is also a very good source of antioxidants such as grape extracts, green tea, etc., plus cleanses your system of toxins with ingredients like milk thistle, bilberry extract, chlorella, spirulina, etc...all ingredients contained are helpful to maintain good healthy skin among others.

hmm so I've been on 10g/day b5 for three weeks now.. just recently ive really noticed the oil levels dying down. Like usually when i wipe my forehead a layer of oil is there that makes my hand all shiny and slick. Now its id say 1/2 as oily as it was before which is a good sign. My overall complexion is of course looking better because I had a VBeam treatment less than one week ago so the red marks are fading a lot faster than normal.

It is my understanding tho that VBeam does nothing for oil production so the B5 *is* working. I just want somethin that works quicker so I'm thinking of accutane when I goto see my derm in a week. decisions decisions.

once B5 works and clears you up do you have to continue taking it for a long time afterwards?

Hello??? Im wondering since I usually only have mild acne can I just take like 2-3 grams of this stuff a day and probably get enough clearing effect? Because I live in Canada and this stuff is pretty expensive so I dont wannt pop 20 pills of it a day.

So do u think lighter dosage (2-3grams) will do anything or am I just wasting my time? Any help would be great because I has success with accutane a couple years ago and Im really interested in this product for clearing me up again.

Thanks surprised.gif

If anyone actually reads this and has an answer for me I would REALLY appreciate it.

Ok, so my question is this: I am about to start my third package of Diane-35 (its birth control in case some of you didn't know) and so far I haven't seen results (not surprising of course since its only been 2 months). But I want to try B5. I'm just wondering if I should give the Diane-35 a longer time to kick in to see if it works or if I should just go ahead and start B5 say...around the time I'm about to start my fourth package of BC...? Can I take the Pill with that supplement? Maybe not at the same time but just together in general? I don't know whether to start taking it sooner rather than later. confused.gif

Has anyone had any experience with the difference between taking 10 in the morning and 10 at night (every 12 hours) versus taking 5 pills 4 times in the day? Is it much less effective to take 10 pills every 12 hours versus 5 pills every 6 hours?

Thanks.
