From my experience, you can't tell much of anything after 13 days. Give it some more time. My acne pretty much stayed the same as it always was for about a month, and then it just quit. Some people don't see any results for 2-3 months and then bam, the zits quit coming.

Be patient and have faith. Good luck to ya.

I think that if you don't see results pretty quickly it won't work for you. I saw results within 4 days.

Hi everyone!

I usually have light to moderate acne, which has been bothering me since I was 13 or 14 (I am 23 now). About a month ago, my acne turned really bad on just my chin, which I believe has been caused by hormonal imbalances. I've read that B5 supposedly only works with acne caused by excessive oil. However, my skin is a mix of dry and oily whereas the oily part isn't even that bad (t-zone).

I have been on the pill for 7 years now and it never helped with my acne. I am thinking that if the problem was entirely hormonal, then the pill would have fixed it, right?

Does anyone think it'd be worth to try B5?

Thank you so so much for your comments and suggestions!

Best,

Cath

Tintin: thank you so much for your reply, I think I'll go ahead and try the B5.

The only thing I wonder about: Should I take nothing but pure B5 or go for a special supplement that contains 510mgs (per cap) of B5 and smaller amounts of other important B vitamins. The reason I am asking this is because apparently taking such large doses of B5 could lead to a deficiency in other B vitamins.

I found this supplement called Evolution-X B5 in Germany (since I am from Luxembourg) and I was wondering if anyone has heard of this product or a similar one in the US. On the German message boards, there are a few people who claim that pure B5 is more effective. I am a bit at a loss, does anyone know anything about this?

I started Bactrim antibiotics yesterday (2 per day/20 days) to just give my skin a break and to get a good start with the B5. I also take 'bactoflor,' a probiotic supplement to protect my digestive system from the antibiotis and zinc caps, one a day, to help the healing process. In terms of hygiene, I only use a very mild facial soap, then aloe vera for reddish spots, and a Clarins moisturizer for sensitive skin (which is great by the way, enriched with vitamins, not oily at all). I don't use any external acne medicine as it really just dries out my skin without killing the pimples.

I started this whole regimen about 2 days ago and I have yet to start B5 but I am praying that I'll get rid of my acne once and for all. I'll keep you updated.

And that's about it for now. smile.gif

Greetings from good ole Europe

Cath

I had moderate acne..which every month or two would get really bad....I tried BP gel and it didnt really work that good....I have been taking 10g B5 and today I am clear....I also take b complex and a multi vitamin....

I do a glycolic peel once a week and use a glycolic cream in the morning and night and its worked amazingly. I am staying on this regime for good since its the only thing that has worked 100% and my skin looks better then it has in yrs! I also have increased drinking water more often...

I readed here http://www.eagle-min.com/faq/faq102.htm that lack of b5 can cause depression, peronality change, sleep disturbance ..etc

IS there anyone who feel the reverse those symptoms after overdosing on b-5

Does B5 help with acne scars?

I am not sure about B5's effect on scars, however, I will do some research on that.

I was also wondering about the hair loss effect. Anyone on here who might have experienced this? If so, did you lose hair in patches that even became noticeable or was it rather just general hair thinning?

Also, while on high doses of B5 (10g/day), is there an increased sensitivity to the sun or could you sunbathe/go tanning just like everyone else? (using the appropriate sunlotion) Just wondering, because on accutane you're not supposed to.

I've ordered 3 bottles of evo-x which should last for three months. I hope that was a good decision since I could have just bought pure B5. Anyone out there who took evo-x successfully?

Thanks!

i believe one bcomplex is enough (lol funny thing is that everynight i take a bcomplex 50, the next morning when i go washroom the pee is always yellow, pretty damn yellow too, are those the bcomplex that i just took the night before?)

anyhow b5 seems very useful, i think i should start taking it too....but i just wanna ask if these are available in drugstores like walmart and shopperdrugmart, cause i dont have master/visa card to buy online

also, do b5 only help active acne? cause i have quite alot dark marks left from previous acne, as well as red spots on my face too.........will b5 help clear these up?

thanks

Today is the first day I took a full dose of evo-x B5 (10g). I started 4 days ago. So far, I have had no side effects whatsoever. Is this normal???

I also haven't really noticed a difference in my skin yet though it certainly didn't get worse. It's all under control anyway since I am still taking Bactrim (antibiotic).

Just wondering...

Hey guys, I have just ordered my B5. I am graduating on June 4, should I wait to start taking it to avoid a bad breakout?
