Out of the first three links, the second is the best because it's the cheapest. If you calculate it, you get the least amount per dollar in the first link, the most amount in the second link.

But since you can't get any of them you'll probably only be able to get the one you just posted anyway haha

lol, but is it any good without vit E though? wouldn't it become rancid fast?

The second link has "Vitamin E" in "other ingredients" so it will be fine. GNC makes quality products, it's just that they are pricey for regular items. But quality wise they are good. So if you can afford it go for it, it's safe and effective

No... the second bunch of links I posted do not have Vitamin E at all. They only have gelatin and glycerin listed under 'other ingredients'.

Isn't it inadvisable to buy fish oil which doesnt have vitamin E?

i know this is repetitive and i'm sorry, but i'm a little confused and i can't read through all the 158 pages... i have a bottle of extra strength fish oil pills with omega 3 fatty acids. can i just take them (with the suggested use on the bottle) and that's it? or do i have to take other supplements (read something on here about having to take omega 3 pills WITH omega 6 pills)?

and does the coating matter? the bottle that i have includes gelatin and glycerin..is that bad?

sorry for sounding like such an idiot, but i'm lost and scared to take the pills if i'm doing something wrong.

As long as you take it by the expiration date you should be fine. You don't have much choices left there and gnc is a good brand.

No, you should take at least 7 per day. There's not really much inside each capsule being an oil. Split up with meals throughout the day.

It changes from person to person, some people can't tolerate glycerin etc, most can. I don't find any effect. If you want, you should get liquids. Carlson is a great brand, one teaspoon and you'll be done.

Fish Oil Capsules Disaster for me

Just to let some of you know - I took 2 capsules 1 am and 1pm on the recommendation of my doctor. (ea was 1200mg by Nature Made)

I woke up to a HUGE cyst on one whole side of my nose and one on my chin. PAINFUL!

Didn't know what to do except get in to dermatologist asap. He gave me steroid cream and antibiotic cream and so far nothing has helped but it's only been 2 days.

It's not a regular cyst on my nose, it's like oil is seeping out all over and it's very red and skin is peeling off.

I'm embarassed to go anywhere because it's UGLY!

Please, if this happens to you, stop taking them immediately.

Maybe this is a rare reaction but I wanted to tell the proper messageboard.

If I ever get better I will post again. Till then I'm using Ertaczo and Cortran SP.05 cream.

Have a nice evening!

The cod liver oil i take contains 2300mg of which EPA & DHA for 2 teaspoons. Is that enough for it to help my skin if i have that each day?

It's frustrating to read that taking fish oil has made some people's acne worse..Could it be related to the manufacturing quality? It may vary brand to brand so I'd invest in some research to find a company that really specializes in meeting standards..That's what my dietitian told me. In fact she recommended a brand she has in her office so I'm going to try it and see if I get any improvements.

I'm posting here since it's the O-3. 6. & 9 place... and also for any WOMEN out there who have been struggling.

I've changed only a couple minor things over the past couple months and have noticed even more improvement. I think this may help other WOMEN with HORMONAL acne, so I wanted to post in the hopes that I might save you some agony...

In addition to what's mentioned in my sig. below, here's what I have changed and what I believe is helping me get rid of the last 1-2% of acne:

- Wearing AS LITTLE MAKEUP AS POSSIBLE (i.e. only Zia natural makeup on discolored places, and Zia natural face powder all over

- Taking BARLEAN's Essential Woman

- Only taking FLAX oil in the AM

- QUIT taking organic extra virgin olive oil (it upset my stomach & never seemed to help me)

- Eating LOTS of FRESH VEGGIES from my garden

That's all. Let me know if there are any women-specific questions I can help you with.

:)

i would just like to say that a while back i correlated fish oil to be a possible factor in my hair loss, so i stopped using it for a couple of weeks, and it got WORSE so i started taking it again and now my scalp is normal again and im hardly losing any hair, im glad i went as far as tested this hypothesis but man this stuff really is fucking great shit. It was actually keeping my hair in line. Now i blame the stress i was under for the increased loss, so now ill test the stress hypothesis.

Keep on Fishin'!!

I'm interested in the Barlean's Essential Women, but when I looked them up online I read that they were for premenopausal women. I worry about messing with my hormones without a Dr. Have you found it safe? Noticed any side effects? Maybe I'm just paranoid. I've tried so much, hormonal acne is stubborn!!!

Sorry, I haven't been on this site for a while (I guess that's a good thing). I have seen a holistic Dr. since taking the Barlean's Essential Woman. In answer to your question, yes I think those are safe; however she recommended even more Evening Primrose Oil, so instead of the Barlean's, I am taking a higher dose of plain EPO (Dr. Weil's). She told me to get in 3.000 mg of EPO a day, so this is 3 of the Andrew Weil capsules. She says this should stabilize my hormones. It's only been a month, but I think this has helped me.

I'm going to update my sig. with the new supplements I'm taking. The only major change is that I decided to start taking Fish Oil YES NDN ROMEO, I did, despite being Vegetarian. The Dr. thought they would be good for me.

Wow. I read the first 20 pages and had to skip to the end. I've tried the fish pills in July. Unfortunately, it didnt' work for me so I am stopping as of today. My acne has never been so bad!! And my acne scars seem more prominent. Gahhh...I don't know what to do anymore.

So how long did you take Fish Oil? I can only speak for myself, but I noticed a huge improvement when I combined Flax and Fish Oil... If you look at my signature, I am getting a huge dose of O-3s with the Flax and then the EPAs and DHAs in the fish oil. I'm not sure if you're male or female, but I believe Evening Primrose Oil has helped immensly with my small hormonal breakouts. Besides those, I am nearly always clear now.

I also had to be patient. Once I started taking all the supplements in my signature consistently, I noticed more improvement... but it was only after 2-3 months. If you are undergoing major diet and supplement changes I would suggest being patient and not giving up on something until you've been consistent for at least 3 months. This is especially true if you are introducing any new skin care regimes or diet changes into the mix.

One last thing that took me from say 89 to 99% clear was cutting way back on sugar. Once I reduced my sugar intake, my breakouts decreased dramatically.

Of course every person is different, but the things in my sig. have worked for me.
