The worst of all comments I've ever received, and I'd be willing to bet one of the worst comments anyone has received on their acne, came from a tedious twat and barstool bore of a stand-up comedian, who was so bigoted that he decided to dedicate an entire hour of his 'performance' to mocking me on the basis of my complexion. He said things like, "I'm only taking the piss because I'm jealous of you, mate. I'm jealous of you for your age. I'm not jealous of your skin." and other comments like "You know, I'll wash my coat when I get home. You obviously don't know much about washing." and they were the tasteful ones. Eventually, he just started asking very personal and hurtful questions, like "Do many people think you're ugly?" and "Have you not lost your virginity because you're covered in spots?"

Comedians like that shouldnt even be classed as comedians (or humans for that matter) , all they are doing are preying on easy targets which anyone can potentially do but only a Grade A Twat will do.

You should have gone up to the stage and kneed him in the balls. That would have got the audience laughing.

"Why bit you all over your face?" (I'm serious, someone actually said that).....

Even though my skin is pretty much clear, I used to get "aww..you poor thing" when I was younger....

My best friend from elementary school decided to "dump" me in middle school so that she could be one of the cool girls. We had been really close and we would hang out every day, until after fifth grade when my parents got divorced and I had to move to another part of town.

On the first day of sixth grade, I went up to her to say hi, since I hadn't seen her all summer. She was surrounded by a bunch of the "popular" girls, and she said to me, in a really snotty voice "Do you think your bangs are hiding that zit on your forehead? Because they're not!"

I was otherwise perfectly clear, and acne was not even an issue for me at that point. But that's what she chose to point out after not seeing me for the whole summer, even though she must have known that I was having a hard time. She was also lording over me the fact that I'd moved to a smaller house, in a part of town that wasn't as nice as where I had been living before. So I wasn't cool enough anymore, and she had to make fun of my face to impress the other girls. What a little bitch.

Note: I may not be pretty like one of the popular girls, but I now make a pretty nice salary as an IT consultant, and I'm pretty sure my (ex) friend is a waitress at Hooters or something. :)

Probably :P. I always remind myself that those that act like little tw*ts to you because of your skin or for some stupid reason will / are probably failures in life.

When I was in a conversation with someone in my class, out of the blue:

"Why do you allways get white ones"? (referring to a whitehead on my face).

Another guy: "you have a lot of white HEADS on you face!"

When I had flakes when starting BP:

"Man, you look like a snake, with all that skin peeling off".

Around that same time, because of redness I had due to BP some guy in my class kept calling me "redhead" all the time.

My little brother once asked me: why do you drink so much water? Oh I know, because of your ZITS!

Well, Ignorance is bliss I guess...

If only they'd live a day in the life of an acne sufferer... maybe then they'd understand...

it's not about what they say, it's how they say it. I mean, some people who tells me to "use proactiv" or give me suggestions is fine with me, I don't think they're trying to be mean. But what really irritates me is when it comes from my family, and it makes it just awkward.

Whenever me and my sister argue, I'd get mad on how she dresses for her age, and I'd tell her.." look at you....you look like..." and she's gonna flip out and tell me "look at your face!" with her very condescending eyes as if were not related. Believe me, the most hateful things that have been said about my acne came from my family. My mother used to say that my whole face is a pimple and it's just happen to have a face. sigh....... i try to let it go, but when my sister tells me to look at my face over and over again like 5 times consecutively... i seriously want to bang her head on the wall!

Nobody else will probably think this is bad but once my mum came through to my room and said, "I've photoshopped all your spots out in this picture, I know that's why you don't like getting your photo taken." Hurt like hell.

I'm in high school and a guy in my chemistry class passed me a note and there was a picture on it. It was a picture of a girl with acne and it had my name written on the top with an arrow pointing to the girl. I was so upset i had to leave class and get signed out. I cried for the whole night and didn't go to school the next day :(

funny thing is i use to be one of those people that wondered why people with acne just didn't wash their face, until i had acne myself.

When I was a pre-teen, not only did I have severe acne, but I also has fluffy and out of control hair probably from hormones. I looked ridiculous, but I couldn't help it. I think the worst thing that was ever said to me about my acne was when a little girl asked "Whats wrong with your face." I wanted to cry. Also I eventually got my hair chemically relaxed and someone said to me "So you finally washed your hair?" They couldn't be further from the truth because I washed my hair everyday. :(

Alriiight, alriiight, alriiight.

I really never got bagged on about my acne by people I wasn't cool with.

Only people that just commented about my acne was my friends,

back in 6th grade my dumb friend Matt was counting how many zits I had, don't remember the number he came up with though.

7th grade, same thing.

Only thing I remember is my friend asking me if he could play connect-the-dots.

And this year, 8th grade. Was the worst out of all of them, I didn't really get comments at all. I just got a lot of stares and glances, one of my friends would actually sit there and talk to me while looking at every blemish on my face. I can't even describe how I felt.

Oh, and I gotta love this one...

It was after winter break when I broke out with severe acne.

And I'm cool with one of the lunch-aids, ya know. So I saw him walking towards me from halfway across the lunchroom and I was about to say "HEY! WHAT'S UP!" when he comes up to and he's like "What happened to your face? Allergic reaction?" I just sat there with my mouth open cause no words could come out. I'd never been commented about my acne from a teacher. Meanwhile my whole lunch table got quiet and they all stared at me...

He thought about what he said for a couple seconds and I guess it sunk in that I had baaad acne, so he's like "Breaking out?" And I just answered "Oh, uhh, yeah..."

I swear I probably never felt so embarrassed in my liiiiiife.

We were real cool before, but ever since then it's been kind of awkward when I talk to him..

Egh, who cares :P.

Nowadays it's been compliments about how clear my skin has gotten since my severe acne breakout.

All my aunts that usually would say "Oh you poor thing, you look so bad. I hope your face gets better." every time they saw me now usually tell me that my skin has cleared up, and that it feels softer then before. But I gotta agree, it does feel pretty damn soft :].

A lot more compliments from other people too but that's not what this thread is about.

I think we've all gotten commented about our acne from little kids, at Christmas last year my family and I went over to my aunts house and I was in the basement having a good time with my cousins when this little kid comes up to me and says "You have a lot of pimples" and I was like "Yeah, I know" I think he even asked me why, and I said something about his momma :P.

BIRTHDAY, party tomorrow, so gotta rest up :].

Keep your heads up my fellow acne sufferers.

I forgot to mention this one.

I rushed to Long's Drugs before I went to school to grab a Clean n Clear Oil absorbing film, and when I got to the counter.......THE GIRL ASKED ME: "DOES THIS WORK?"

I WAS SO INSULTED, COS HELLO! I HAVE BAD ACNE, AND I DIDN'T WANT TO TAKE HER COMMENT AS SARCASM COS I DON'T WANT TO RUIN MY WHOLE DAMN DAY!

So I replied, "Well they help!"

Psshhh.........

Haha, same reason I don't like getting my photo taken. What's even worse is there's a huge photo of me on the wall in the lounge... where every visitor goes most the time. Sigh...

I don't remember much but when I was younger and my acne was worse. All these older ladies like to recommend me some product or other that will supposedly help clear my skin. A lot of them told me I should see a derm which was good. Eventually my mum decided it was time for me to see a derm. And what do you know the derm asked her what took her so long to bring me there.

Also I've had kids come up to me and ask me 'what's that on your face?' Made me feel horrible and I didn't know how to explain acne to a kid.

I was in art class working with charcoal. My art teacher says to me, "I think you have some charcoal on your face." I went into the other room to examine my face in the mirror, but nothing was there. Only my greyish scars/hyperpigmentation left over from a round of minocycline gone very wrong. I felt terrible.

Another time a few guys were joking around, and I overhead one saying, "Insert-secret-alias-here has a oily face!"

Worst part is, I had a crush on one of them!

Grossed Out Expression while saying: "Why does your face look like that?"

This came from a sibling with near perfect skin, who is an adult! Who says stuff like that? Oh yeah...

O, kids are shitty. I was at a family friend's party about two years ago and this little kid, who is a brat, came up to me and said, 'I don't like you 'cause you've got spots'. So I said, 'Well, I don't like you 'cause you've got a tubby belly'. Maybe that was a stupid reaction, but it felt good at the time.

O, and one of my apparent best friends called me 'Acne-face Grace' in front of a massive group. That really hurt. I shouted, screamed and cried big time. The most ridiculous thing is, she's had acne too!
