i was a freshman in college. walking to class, some guy walked past me and i looked at him. and he was lookin at me. and he said, "holy shit". HA!

actually, i kinda started laughin when he said that to me, and i was thinkin, 'ya bro. holy shit'. made me laugh cuz he was the 1st person to validate my shitty feelings about my skin. gotta respect that.

My mom once told me that my skin looks fine with makeup on. I know that that's not a bad thing to say, but I wish I could look okay even without makeup :( Really hurt my feelings.

I know she was just trying to be nice, though.

Some awful shit in here, pisses me off!!!! and im already in a bad mood, that why im visiting this forum.

People havent said alot about my face when I was there, but I didnt want to go out much when I was 15-18. Also facial expressions of people looking at you say enough... I still got problems looking people in the eye, cos it makes me think of what theyre thinking about my skin... When I read the shit here it makes me wanna smash the face in of all ignorant clear fuckers making wiseguy comments.

A girl indirectly rejected me (had to hear the reason from her friend) cos I was a 'pimpleface'. I took it lightly and said thats true and Im trying to get rid of it. But inside it hit me pretty damn hard.

My parents dont say shit about it, except for my dad, he says he had it too when he was young, but he never let it ruin his life and that it will go away after some time.... yeah right. Im 21 now and still not clear (skin is better though cos of diet and sups).

Nobody has ever said something about it to my face, but I've heard comments a lot like he doesn't wash his face stuff to that effect.

Only really bad thing that hit me was when i was in High school a friend of mine asked why i get so many pimples  i just said i dunno... but that made me feel really bad... i just drove home after that class haha

funny thing was that that same person commented that i was good looking before i got acne

Today i was getting a haircut and this lady asked me if i tried anything for my skin....like proactive....i started laughing...because im on accutane and proactiv doesnt work.

Its funny how they tell me drink alot of water....and eat healthy.....because they are assuming i dont......but actually ive been healthy for a couple years now......hahahaha ignorance i tell ya

i'm lucky i never had acne when i was in high school, teenagers can be so cruel. at college everyone's way nicer about it. i mean, my acne is mild to moderate, so maybe people would make comments if it was more severe, but luckily the worst i ever get is people giving unsolicited advice. which is annoying, but at least it's not mean.

Been so long since I've posted, and this thread is so long I don't know if I already commented here,I don't think I have though.......

When I first started to get acne my sis would say some typical things, like if we were arguing she would call me pizza face,or sometimes she would ask,"Is the reason you don't go out is 'cause your face looks like that?"

I really haven't had people say things directly to me,but I've heard some people say things, like once a few years ago when I was still in school,I was in class and I had to go up to the front to receive some award, and I heard a guy in my class say,"Gosh, her face is really red."

I've gotten SO many. I don't think it's because my skin is that bad, but I guess it was just a surprise to people cause my skin was normally clear.

"How'd you get such skin problems?"

"Are you allergic to the sun?"

"You must be stressing a lot. You are very broken out"

*little girl* "Wait, what's that on your face?" *other girl* "OMG, you're soo mean!! They're pimples"

"You shouldn't eat ice cream and you should wash your face more"

*my friend when I first started using foundation laughs* "It's SO obvious you have pimples with all that make up on"

"Do you use powder? Your skin is so oily"

*little girl* WHOA how'd you get your skin to be so shiny like that?

and the list goes on...........

I don't mind the kids commenting me too much, I admit I use to make comments when I was little, because I was a kid and didn't know any better.

People used to call me scarface.

My ex boyfriend in particular used to look at me and just by knowing someone was looknig at me I'd glimpse at him and he'd touch his face.

One of my friends little sisters (6 I believe) was like "WOW YOUR ACNE IS GROSS". When at that time it wasn't even bad, at all.

4. Friend or person i don't talk to " You should pop those pimples"

8. Mom " Are you using the stuff i bought"

9. At night, i'm putting on medication and mom my yells at me "Hurry up and finish doing your face"

10. At night my brother said "Hurry the f*** up you zit face" - kicked his ass

11. I take woodshop, and i had dry skin that day, and some random kid said " You have some sawdust on your face"

12. My TEACHER!!!! in front of EVERYONE in my English class has bad vision, and my face was red from inflamation, and she said "Next time wear sun block, you don't want to end up with wrinkles".... And then of course everyone has to check out what she's talking about.

13. Random kid, or friend "What's up with your face?"

14. Little brat who was in 6th grade, when i was in 9th said "You should go on Proactiv"

Fuck her and her family, i hate them all, hope they die in a fire.

15. I broke out after a school competiton which required me to sleep in long beach w/ my friends, and then when my mom came to pick me up, in front of ALL MY FRIENDS AND THEIR FAMILIES SAID "WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN EATING!!! I'VE NEVER SEEN YOUR FACE THIS BAD?" and then she was talking to other parents and pointing out my breakout.

Good thing i had a friend who's older brother had terrible cystic acne back me up.

16. On the way to a party and my mom says "your acne is looking bad today"

17. My close friend tells my brother that he want to go up to my face, and pop all my pimples.

18. My father admits to thinking about using my acne against me in an arguement.

19. Another close friend tries to make me feel better by telling me that his brother had horrible acne, and that his face is perfect now...and then i find out that his brother had maybe 2 pimples in his entire life.

20. Friend tries to be smart and talking about acne, and how i should cure it, and doesn't realize that I know 100X more than he'll ever know about acne.

21. Friend talks about acne, and mentions that he see's people in PE w/ terrible acne on the arms, back, and legs, and then says that Facial acne is by far the worste.

22. People say "what's up with your face???"

23. Younger brothers use acne against me in every arguement.

24. I go to some random hair salon that'd i've never been to, and the stylist says "You should try and keep your long hair out of your face, you'll just break out more...

Ok, well, i'm on a club soccer team, and everytime we go to a tournament, the girls always go for me instead my other teammates, so i know that i'm in no way in terrible condition, seeing as though there is 1 other kid on the team that has similar acne to mine.

But the worste is when a girl is staring at you, and she's really hot, and you don't know if she's staring at you, or your acne..

AND: I DON'T EVEN HAVE TERRIBLE ACNE!!! I mean, i have in the past had moderate, but now i don't have even 1 pimple, and about 20 little marks on my left cheek, and 15 on my right.

SO i know how it is to be "picked on"..

excuse the pun...

I am so lucky that I haven't heard many mean comments.

When I was about 12 I had an older guy at my school tell me I should start washing my face everyday, as if I didn't already. He and his sister had perfect skin and his sister would flip out when she got a zit.

My bestfriend once made a comment about if she could lose some weight and my skin cleared up we would be hot. Haha.

I used to work at a grocery store and a lady came to my register, looked at my skin and asked if I was interested in using Mary Kay.

My little brother and I were in a fight once, he was about 11 and I was 15, and one of his comebacks was, "At least I don't have pimples all over my face!" but my awesome dad yelled at him and said, "Hey! You'll have them too one day." lol Thanks, dad.

I absolutly HATE when friends and people I know complain to me that they're "breaking out" and have a (singular) pimple and they're freaking out.

Something that really gets to me is when you're talking to someone and you can see their eyes looks at your skin. My husband does that sometimes and it really depresses me.

I once had a guy tell me acne was contagious. I told him it wasn't and that he was crazy.

A kid who was about 4 years younger than me once said in a very sarcastic tone, "Acne is such a turn on."

I'm a new member. Hello *wave*

"You have a zit right there *points*"

Oh? Really? I wouldn't know because I NEVER stand in front of the mirror for hours on end staring at myself thinking I'm the ugliest thing in the world trying to pick away at the source of my despair. Nope not me.

Many younger children enjoyed calling me zit/pimple face in grade school. To make myself feel better I laughed at them and told them just wait, you'll get it worse.

A little less then what someone has said about my acne, but more likes to poke and point is my older brother. He'll just walk into the room, talk to me a little and if he's looking at my face he'll just kinda do that, point and inch closer with finger thing. :/

*sigh* The people around me haven't particularly matured (in High School now) but that's only because they won't say anything to my face. But it says a lot when boys don't ask you out or try to make friends with you doesn't it?

Haha, oh yeah...

I remember when my 7 yr old little cousin studied my face for a few minutes and then innocently asked: "is that ackanee scars?" Obviously his parents had had a discussion with him about what was wrong with my face and had tried to explain to him what "acne" means. I would have just laughed it off and said yes if it weren't for the 2 older relatives in the car with us. Made it a bit more awkward/embarrassing, so I just nodded and wanted to jump out of the car at 60 mph.

Lots of years ago, when I still was a teenager, I was in my kitchen... I was cooking a cake... suddenly a friend of my father's arrived home. I said "hello", he looked at me, he didn't reply with another "hello" but said: "Don't cook cakes, that's why your face gets like that"
