So I had acne for 20 years. In that time I must have visited 9-10 dermatologists. I started suffering from acne when I was 14 and cured it on my own when I was about 36. And I swear each dermatologist gave me the same treatment, over the years and whatever age I was at. The treatment never varied, in spite of me telling them again and again that this did not work last time.
I still remember driving back from the derm when I was 26 with my eyes full of tears because she had been arrogant and given me the exact same treatment, which I knew would never work. Yeah, that is what most people who suffer from acne are generally reduced to at some point in their life - tears!!!!! Even the best of derms in whatever place I lived in were the same.
I am sure many of you have had the same experience of being frustrated, sad and angry. So here's my advice, if you suffer from acne or have been suffering for a long time and derms don't help, please look at alternate treatments. Don't waste your time and money looking for that one derm who will be different. I am not sure they exist. Well, you can't really blame them, besides Accutane ( which may not work always) they don't really have any new, lasting treatment.
I cured my acne mainly by avoiding sugar which was my trigger. As I am writing this I have 3 painful bumps on my left cheekbone caused by eating more cake than I should have. I see from your log that you avoid dairy. If you are not getting results from it, try avoiding sugar as well.

Thanks. I feel like sugar is in absolutely everything though! Do you just avoid obvious stuff like cake, puddings etc? I've had good results from avoiding dairy and animal fats (and break out badly if I touch either of these).

That's true, but I just use my taste buds a guide, if it does not taste sweet go ahead and eat it. Everything these days has sugar and if we start reading labels we won't eat at all. So start with avoiding the obvious things like you said. Forget about reading labels.
I avoid cakes, puddings etc (which was horribly hard as I bake alot). But the results were worth it. Reply back if you need more info.
Last time I went to a dermatologist, I had been on the regimen for a little over a year, but was noticing it not working quite as well. Also frankly, I was completely sick of it and felt like it was taking over my life. So I told the derm what I was using.... she was like "great, keep doing all that but here add two MORE things to what you're doing." I was so upset, I didn't even protest. I just took the prescription she gave me and left and cried in my car.
After that I actually stopped the regimen and tried to find something else and it was the worst mistake ever. I completely destroyed my face and it's worse than ever. I just started the regimen again to try to get back to where I was when I was complaining to the derm originally...
I feel like a lot of derms are focused towards like plastic surgery and anti-ageing stuff and don't take acne seriously. Like an appointment can be 5 minutes long and they just hand you the same prescription they hand to everybody. It's awful and totally ignores how emotionally upsetting it is to have acne. I'm sure there are some somewhere who are more specialized for it and actually care, but I don't know where they are....
