Pros:

-MY FACE IS COMPLETELY CLEAR NOW!
-has helped lighten my scars!

Cons:

-redness
-drying/peeling

This is a miracle worker. I had the worst acne ever and now my face is so clear! yes, in the beginning your face will get red and start to peel, which is why I recommend that when you first start it, use it once every other day and then gradually go up. But then the peeling goes away and you are left with beautiful bright skin! I definitely recommend it for everyone!

Pros:

Works fast easy to use

Cons:

At first dries your face out alittle may bleach clothing

Well I have sensitive skin, so I bought the Panoxyl 4%. It works great. I've used everything thing from Marykay to Proactive. Nothing else has worked. I've been using the Panoxyl for about 7 days now and my acne is almost all cleared up!

Pros:

- clears some acne

Cons:

- dries face (peeling occurs)
- makes skin more sensitive
- stimulates oil production

The "Gotta hate acne" reviewer summed up my reaction to a T. This product has 10% benzoyl peroxide, which is excellent at fighting acne, but is not safe to use on a daily basis as a *cleanser.* I was really hopeful about this product, and it did give me some results. It cleared my facial acne for a little while, and totally cleared my back. However, it damaged the rest of my skin in the process; making it dry, irritated, peeling, and red. Also, to my horror, it made my face more oily later on! Because my skin was being stripped of all the natural oils, it produced copious amounts to try and heal itself and undo the damage. My skin became much more prone to scarring from even small pimples, and just looked damaged and dry all over. This product is not good as a basic cleanser. It's too strong and doesn't improve the health of the skin, just attacks acne. It could be used on the back though, because that's not as sensitive as the face. Other than that, this product doesn't do your skin any favors.

Pros:

works well

Cons:

if used to often, it will dry your skin so bad you will start to flake a alot

I have suffered for about two years. My skin kept getting worse and worse. Before that I had almost no acne at all. I would have the occasional random small red spot but nothing that bothered me. I tried using everything I could over the counter. I got introduced to this product by a friend and when I bought it, the difference was immediate. I even took pictures of myself while using it everyday and noticed the difference. This product is good temporarily. It did not cure my acne but it did help the ones I had and I believe it prohibited the acne that was about to emerge. (due to the alligator-like dryness leaving no room for acne to grow) but because of this, I got an occasional deep rooted mountain-like extremely red and painful pimple that never come to a head. Which I think is better than 5-7 pimples all over. bottom line is- if u have acne from moderate to severe with oily skin, it will help your skin about 50% you will have to keep buying it though because it does not cure you as i said, this is the ONLY face wash that even made a little difference so this is definitely worth it. its also great for your back!

Pros:

* Deeps cleans really well
* Keeps my face oil-free all day
* Skin is continuously improving

Cons:

* Drys out the skin
* Can cause itching and redness

PanOxyl is the first acne cleanser I can say worked for me. I've been using it for about a week and the majority of my acne is gone, which has never been the case with all of the other products I used. You can really feel it clearing out that bacteria in your skin, and it kept my face oil-free all day. However, this is NOT a miracle cure, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it to everyone. I believe it worked so well for me because extremely oily skin runs in my family and my skin is very acne-prone. I needed a really strong cleanser for it to be effective on my face, and PanOxyl had 10% benzoyl peroxide (the highest amount over the counter w/o a prescription). It does dry out my skin and irritates it a bit, but I can handle because of my skin type. People with dry or very sensitive skin should stay away from *this* specific product, but they should check out the other PanOxyl products with less benzoyl peroxide in them. Not every product is right for every person, and this product is a bit harsh, so that's why I gave it a 4/5. However, it worked for me, and if your skin is similar to mine (stubborn acne/ oily skin), try it! I hope it gives you similar results. I'm glad I came across it!

Pros:

Clears Skin, Maximum Strength Acne Medication Kills Bacteria, Flattens Raised Bumps, Easy One Step, Can Be Used on Chest & Back As Well.

Cons:

Dries Your Skin Out as it Dries Out Your Acne.

This stuff works great and very quickly. After a little over a week, my face is mostly clear & all my raised bumps have flattened out. I've tried prescription creams & pills from the dermatologist, MaxClarity, Proactiv and countless other products. Nothing has worked as consistently and as fast as PanOxyl. I saw improvements within the first 2 days and my skin continued to improve more and more each day. This stuff is also very inexpensive. This is the clearest I have seen my skin in the past five years that I have been suffering with acne. Even my mother and sister can see a change in my skin. I experienced dryness around the corners of my nose & the crease between my mouth and chin. Just use a good moisturizer that doesn't clog pores while using this product. The dryness is the only down side but didn't bother me one bit since it actually worked very well. This stuff is definitely worth trying!

Pros:

Definitely helps treat acne

Cons:

A bit overdrying at first

A great addition to my acne regimen. This is indeed overdrying, but applying cetaphil lotion right after use does the trick.

Pros:

Kills bacteria, clears up acne, makes skin soft

Cons:

a little overdrying, bleaches hair and clothes

If you have moderate to severe acne, this is for you. It does a great job at clearing up skin, but if you only get occasional, mild breakouts, then probably 2.5 benozyl peroxide would work much better. The results are wonderful if you stick with it, and your skin should improve within a week or two. The only problems are that 1) it can over-dry skin and 2) your skin becomes more vulnerable to sun damage. I just use Oil of Olay (SPF 15) after I wash my face, and it works great. Good luck! :)
