Pros:

**I have never tried this therapy**, but I am a pharmacy student and just want to caution you guys on one thing. People who are on medications should NOT use this therapy because some medications are excreted unchanged in the urine (meaning the same drug that goes in comes back out after doing its work in the body). Some drugs are also able to get to your bloodstream through your skin, which can result in toxicity of whatever drug you are on.

Cons:

(con't) Some drug byproducts won't be absorbed, but you never know how they will affect your skin topically. The same is true for vitamins and many other things you may ingest which go through the kidneys. If this really is a miracle cure and you insist on using it, just be careful and consider yourself warned! I can understand how it is difficult to stop using something that works well, clear skin can increase confidence by A LOT (I have suffered from ance myself). Best of luck.

There are many other effective alternatives out there. Dan is definitely on the right track with his regimen suggestions (we were told to recommend similar products in my pharmacy classes). **BE CAREFUL IF YOU ARE TAKING ANY MEDICATIONS!!!!** I can't tell you offhand which particular ones to look out for, and it is difficult to know since drugs are MEANT to be excreted and then the effects of their metabolites on skin are not known or studied!

Acne will get worse before it gets better

Ive had acne since 13. It goes through spurts it will get somewhat clear once every 2 yrs lol then will get mod severe most of the time. I have little bumps that are unpoppable and cystic bumps as well as the normal size whiteheads. I break out around my chin/jawline and on my forehead. Occasionally I will get some small whiteheads on my nose and cheeks. So basically everywhere. I am now 25 and acne has gotten worse due to meds I currently take for depression/anxiety and also horomonal acne from my period. I have only used this method twice. I was so excited and intrigued finding out about it yesterday from youtube (same channel mentioned in earlier comments) that I used my night midstream urine and put it on last night. This morning BAM I had almost twice as many pimples. Small little whiteheads everywhere! Not to be discouraged, I washed my face with warm-hot water and I used my morning midstream urine on a cottonball and wiped my face. At first it burned a bit but now it feels tingly and tight now that it has dried on my face. Im going to massage into my skin tonight and wipe w cottonball and leave on overnight then do the same in the morning. This will be my routine. I have some betonite clay I may use that for the occassional mask/spot treatmt and also baking soda for the occassional exfoliation pending if needed. So far no miracle pores are near invisible, irritation has lessened. Also a little bit of the pain from the cystic pimples I have are almost gone. May try compression on them at some point. Face seems a bit dry too along with the new breakouts. I believe the new pimples are ones that were coming and the skin is cleansing itself, usually this happens for me when switching to something so its no big deal. Try it out! See what your results will be! Next step after I get used to this I may drink it once I can better my diet so it wont taste horrid, I dont do well with ingesting something that smells bad lol. Anyway I w

Pros:

Its free, its always available.

Cons:

Its wee! it isnt that pleasant, although I can comprehend what I am doing its still awkard and I will never admit to doing it...ever!

I like to give everything a go when it comes to acne, the only way to find a cure is to try everything! The first time I tried this I wasnt really freaked out by what I was doing... (i dont know what that says for me) but it was difficult trying to hide it from the husband. I keep up a healthy eating regime, and my urine doesnt really smell but I was constantly paranoid, especially when people go in for a kiss hello or goodbye! After a few weeks it was apparent that the treatment wasnt for me....I got huge cysts and small white heads, i constantly felt sticky and dirty, So no, I dont really recommend it, but it may work for you. I found that using rooibos tea as a tonic on my face worked better as it contains natural AHA's. (I also drink about 6 cups per day and take 5000iu vitamin A)

Pros:

-it does seem to shrink the pimple a little
- no irritation

Cons:

- it's pee.... yeah enough said

Ok, i read reviews raving about this method...it's been 2/3 days and i really can't see any difference...i'm going to give it a solid two weeks...that way i'm figuring i'm giving it a chance to really work. The point is don't expect a miracle cure...nothing will ever just magic away your acne over night.... I'll review again if i get a good turn around in two weeks, Good luck!! Might as well give it a go..it really isn't as gross as you might think.

Pros:

natural, i feel like it affects me hormonally (not sure if other girls experience this...) fades new red marks quickly and smoothes skin's overall appearance.

Cons:

depending on the diet, it could be sticky. a lil smelly, also depending.

i was using ACV which works beautifully but it started to cause cuts in my skin. the acid, after too long was breaking my skin in and caused scabs... urotherapy is easier on my skin and isn't acidic. i've used it for a week or so and the cluster of red marks i had has reduced to the worst ones, clearing away the lighter ones and evening my skin tone.

Pros:

*Free,lol
*Always available
*Reduces redness
*Doesn't smell as much as people say it does

Cons:

*Embarassing to use
*Causing giggling during application XD
*Didn't see much improvement in acne

I think this could have worked better if I stuck with it longer, but I had been expecting results within a few days like others had said.

Desperately Seeking Acne Relief
I'm a 38yr old female who about a year ago started experiencing severe acne. During that time I was under a lot of stress, so I assumed that if I eliminated the stress in my life my face would go back to normal. WRONG! In addition, I developed bronchitis and was prescribed amoxicillin which really got rid of my acne within a week. My happiness was short lived when my prescription ran out. My dermatologist put me on solodyn and finacea which helped my acne but also gave me severe headaches along with a horrible facial texture. So fast forward to 7/12/14 and I can no longer deal with the facial imprisonment that I've been unwillingly placed in. I've read all the reviews like many others and I've decided to give it a try. I used the first morning urine as suggested. I applied it with cotton ball over my entire face. The smell was minimal and I did not rinse it off. After 2 hrs my face looked very hydrated as if I just moisturized. I am very anxious to see future results if any so I will definitely keep posting.

Pros:

Free
Natural

Cons:

Smells when you first put it on
People think you're crazy for putting pee on your face
Didn't really clear up acne

After reading all of the great reviews, I thought I would try this out. After all, I was pretty much out of options. Creams, pills, and most cleansers have failed to get rid of my acne. And, since this is free, I thought it wouldn't hurt to try. Now, when I first applied my urine, I noticed that my redness and pimple size did go down. I actually thought that this was the miracle that I had been hoping for! As time passed though, the urine started to lose it's effectiveness. Now, I've broken out again, and this time my acne is painful! I think I just applied the urine too much though, and my face probably got use to it. Overall though, I would recommend this. Just apply the urine only ONCE a day! If you apply it too much (like I did), it will lose it's effectiveness.
