Pros:

No more oily skin, clear face.

Cons:

Dry eyes, many pills, stomach problems, $ becomes an issue.

It works, that's the bottom line. I looked for EVERYTHING to get rid of my acne and this is doing just that! Been on it for 1 month, my face went form huge pimples all over my face to just having small pimples (3 right now) and I have yet to see ONE huge pimple on my face. I use sulfur & BP 2.5% to help kill any pimples I get, they die out the same day I get them, it's incredible. I also use vitamin e oil at night to remove scars from the pimples I popped these past 2 years of suffering =/. So this stuff is working because it gets rid of my oil is what I believe. My oily face was an issue and now since oil is GONE, it seems the pimples have no way to grow and with the sulfur + BP 2.5% combination, I feel that the pimples will continue to reduce until I'm 100% clear hopefully this month. I take 5,000 mg of b5 a day. I recommend this b5 regimen. NOTE: The cons I cure as follow - 1) Dry eyes, use eye drops 2) Too many Pills, deal with it 3) Stomach problems, buy probiotic align 4) $....hope you have a job.... NOTE 2: Best place to get the pills is amazon, look for the 1,000 mg time released pills, less pills to take and still VERY effective.

Pros:

Cleared up oil quickly!
Not too expensive
No new cystic acne after 3 days

Cons:

Minor initial breakout
Lots of pills

I only started taking B5 3 days ago, but I've already seen a significant reduction in oil! I used to use an oil wipe like every 3 hours, and today I haven't had to use any! I started on 5g, the next day moved to 7g, and now I'm taking 10g a day. Not sure if it's going to clear up my acne though -- fingers crossed :) Keep fighting the good fight, my comrades!

Pros:

Works. Reduced oil within 1st week.
Doesn't irritate my skin.
Has worked for 5 years now.
No side effects.

Cons:

A lot of pills at first.
Frequent bathroom breaks (also at first).

Figured I'd write a review, seeing as I've been using the stuff forever now. I started out at "megadose" levels, taking 10+ grams per day. Around the end of the first week my skin started to noticeably improve. Less redness, pimples were shrinking, no new ones forming, etc. Was totally clear (including cysts) about 6 weeks in. After a few months I began to reduce my dosage, and now only take about 1 gram (time-released) every other day. Other than frequent bathroom breaks in the first few weeks (probably from all the water I was drinking as much as the vitamins), I haven't experienced any negative side effects at all, nor has anyone I've recommended the stuff to. It's probably not safe to "megadose" long term, but in my experience you shouldn't need to. B5 worked very well for me with almost no downsides, and continues to keep me clear 5 years later. Literally the only other things I do are rinse my face with water and the occasional wash with soft soap or body wash in the shower.

Pros:

1) reduces oily skin and breakoputs
2) works quickly
3) safer than accutane

Cons:

1) have to take a lot of pills
2) no negative side effects so far

I have the oiliest skin and have been on 2 courses of accutane. After each course my oily skin and acne returned within 2 months. I have been using B5 for about a week. I bought the 1000mg time released tablets off Amazon. Started with 2g (2 tablets) on day 1 and increased to 5g (5 tablets) by day 3. My skin was noticibly less oil by day 3 (about 20%) and by the first week it has decreased by 75%. I am currently taking 6g/day (3 tabs in AM and 3 tabs in PM) along with a B complex. I plan on staying at 6g/day since it seems to be working for me.

Pros:

gets rid of oil, not a scam!! try it!!

Cons:

takes time though, depends on acne severeness obviously

from inflammatory acne to non inflammatory acne (dime sized cysts, whiteheads, u name it), i have suffered acne for 5 years. i tried everything from over-the-counter treatments to doctor visits, until finally i decided to do some research myself and i came across clear5 on the internet. At first i started to think that maybe it wasnt going to work, but after three weeks i began to see results!! i have been taking it a little over a month now and it actually works!! try it!! i am a believer!!!!

Pros:

Reduces Oil

Cons:

Took 2-3 grams per day for 10 days. Hair loss started on 10th day. Stopped supplementing immediately. Hair Loss Has not Stopped after a month. READ BELOW,

I visited my dermatologist today regarding hair loss due to B5. He works at Tufts Medical Center in Boston with the Dermatology Department. His colleagues and him have seen many hair loss issues related to supplementing with all types of Vitamins. The Department is aware of hair loss due to Vitamin B5. The cause of hair loss is actually Toxicity. They believe the toxicity is a result of a binding ingredient used in the Supplement that is not labeled on the bottle. They do not believe B5 is the actually cause of hair loss, but it may be. So when taken in high doses, your body becomes poisoned by the binding ingredient (or possibly B5) which causes TE (Telogen effluvium). TE is characterized by diffuse hair shedding. Generally, recovery is spontaneous and occurs within 6 months. My dermatologist said most people recover within 3-5 months, but there are a few cases where people do not recover. Mega-dosing for long periods of time increases the chances of non-recovery. He explained that hair loss due to B5 (or the binding ingredient in the supplement) is not a Vitamin Deficiency! Therefore supplementing with Biotin or a B-Complex will not protect against the Hair Loss. Your body is poisoned and needs to naturally recover. The best ways he told me to recover are to exercise daily with lots of cardio (you need to sweat) and drink plenty of water. Supplementing with other vitamins, antioxidants, or oils will not stop or prevent the hair loss. Please Be very careful with B5 and DO NOT MEGADOSE (Over 1 Gram per day)

Pros:

It has made my skin less oily and almost eliminated my acne on my back.

Cons:

Lots of pills to take

If you don't mind taking a lot of pills this is the perfect cure. I take 3 pills four times each day and my back and chest acne is almost completely gone after only 2 weeks. I can't wait to go skinny dipping at Turtle Lake nudist resort in Michigan next summer to show off my new skin!

Pros:

The first few days it gave me more energy, but that wore off

Cons:

Taking so many tablets. As well I've been feeling more drowsy recently - although maybe that's cos I haven't been to the gym in a couple of weeks!

It hasn't done anything for my acne yet ! I've been on it for three weeks. One of the main reasons I want to stick with it is because it's supposed to reduce your pores as well and I've been struggling with open pores, which I think aggravate me more than acne ! But I've been trying M2 lotion ( 12%) for a couple of days and it seems to be super for my skin.
