The Only Product That Works
After - Left SideAfter - Right SideI am so excited to be writing my review of the  Indented Scars Acne Chicken Pox Pitted Scar Removal Peel. In the course of a month, the scars on my face, especially my cheeks (my biggest problem area), have greatly reduced in size. Just a few days before I found this product,  I had visited a medical spa to ask about laser resurfacing. When I heard the price tag, I was greatly discouraged. I went home that night and decided I would do one last search on reducing my acne scars before I started saving up for laser treatments. Lo and behold, this product showed up. I ignored it at first, but after I saw a few other posts, I decided to look into it further. After I saw the picture testimonials on the website, I was amazed and ordered it right away.

This product has been an answer to a long-time prayer of mine, since after 10 years after struggling with acne, I was left with a lot of scarring. I had gotten several chemical peels and tried derma rolling as well as products I would find at the pharmacy, but the changes were only minimal.

To say the least, I was hopeful about this product, and noticed a difference the next day. My face was smooth, and after 2 weeks of using this product, I noticed my acne scars were getting less noticeable. It's been a month now, and my face has not looked this great in more than 10 years! I still have ways to go, but I have enjoyed going out without makeup, and even makeup application is delightful now! The foundation glides on better than before --I love it! Before - Right Side

wtf? YES YES YES
I wrote a review on here previously (and I do not review anything ever) - about my sister and her cystic acne/scarring. She and I both had extremely bad acne in highschool. SUPER BAD. I am talking, embarrassing abnormally big pimples all over. She used this for abotu a month and a half on her scars (old and new acne scars). She and I both had huge holes from acne. Her scars disappeared! I was skeptical about trying it because everything breaks me otu and this is expensive. BUT !!!!!! I am so happy I am crying. I use this nightly (EVERY NIGHT, NO SKIPPING OUT) on a clean face, and sleep. And it has been three weeks. My scars are gone, gone, gone! I still have 3 or 4 on my right cheek (the deeper ones) , but they may take more time. But my whole face in even, no holes, no scars. The ones that remain are def almost gone!!! Another few weeks, I am sure they too will vanish. I know this is pricey guys but my review is sincere. As I said, I do not review much because nothing has worked before now. I made an account here JUST FOR Mederma.

Can it also remove the dark spot caused by pimples?

Bio oil has cleared my skin
I don't have severe acne, but I do suffer from oily skin and I have nasty spots and regularly had more than 5 spots at a time. I first started using this when my sister, who is studying BA cosmetic science at LCoF, wouldn't stop raving about how much it had changed her acne on her face -and her skin was completely clear. So i was sceptical at first about putting an oil on my already oily skin but after a month of using this nightly I was so happy with the results! My skin is clearer, softer and I barely get breakouts (if I do they disapear quicker than they did). Bio oil is proven to be non- comedogenic (which means it won't clog pores) and is also a dry oil so is easily absorbed. The thing I would advice to do would be to make sure you cleanse and moisturise the morning after you apply it and thoroughly cleanse before you apply it! :)

Very interesting product
I've recently added this to my night routine, and love the way it feels. Very moisturizing, VERY unique consistency. It is made from snail mucus, and you can tell when you get the product on your fingers and face. I'm using this for anti-aging and to help brighten my skin overall.

Feels snail-y
I bought this moisturizer because of the excellent Amazon reviews, and love the way it feels now that I'm using it. Definitely a unique consistency to it. As the name implies, this actually contains snail mucus filtrate. It's supposed to help with a range of skin issues, but the main point I was sold on is anti-aging and overall skin tone. Even if it does nothing for anti-aging, it feels great as a moisturizer. Would recommend for PM application due to the consistency.

It actually works really well on PIE (post-inflammatory erythema) acne marks
I broke out badly sometime in October 2016 and it took me roughly three months to get my acne under control. Unfortunately I was left with horrible PIE (post-inflammatory erythema) which were tiny, flat red/pinkish marks. They simply wouldn't go away and they were far more damaging to my self-esteem than the actual acne. I tried everything to get rid of them but nothing worked. I also used 100% natural aloe vera gel and although that helped somewhat it wasn't an end all be all solution. I hid away for months, refusing to go outside or socialize. It wasn't until my grandmother randomly purchased Mederma for me. I was skeptical because I've tried just about every gel known to man to rid myself of these horrible marks on my skin. Still, I decided why not? I initially only started applying a small amount on my acne marks before bed. Within the first three days I was immediately surprised just how much Mederma has lightened my acne marks! I stepped it up to twice a day, once during the day and once more before bed. By the second week the redness of my acne marks had drastically subsided. I'm now on my third week of using Mederma and I'm incredibly happy with the results! I've managed to regain some of my self-esteem and started going out again after being a recluse for nearly six months. My only regret is wishing I had found out about Mederma earlier. I highly recommend this product to anyone dealing with stubborn acne marks, particularly those that are of the red/pink variety. If you have fresh acne marks this will do the trick. I'm not entirely sure about old ones, though. Needless to say you will see some results at the very least!

Truly amazing acne scars treatment peel
I am so excited to share my experience using this product.   I tried it for a month on my forehead and temples only. I didn't expect it to work after just one month therefore I wasn't disappointed when I saw that it made only slight difference to my acne scars. I continued with my regular skin care regimen and had no immediate plans to repurchase this product. But then two weeks later I started noticing   that my forehead looked very smooth and   the scars on my temples were barely there. The first time I noticed this, I was at the nearby shopping mall.   I was washing my hands in the bathroom and was looking at my face in the mirror, wondering if I should reapply my lipstick. The light was really bad, the kind of light you get in elevators, the kind of light that shows all your acne scars in high definition. Basically, I was looking at my face under indirect angle lighting which revealed everything! My whole face was covered in acne scars, but the scars on my temples were barely there. I blinked a few times in disbelief. After that "incident" I made a point of looking at my face under different lights and during different times of the day. I just couldn't believe that my acne scars on the temples were hardly visible. So why didn't I see this before? Here is what I think happened. When I used the peel, I carefully applied it in front of the mirror at home. I was looking at my face day in and day out. Because of that, I couldn't see the difference this product was making to my acne scars. After I finished the product and resumed my regular skin care which I don't usually apply in front of a mirror, I was then able to notice the difference this product has made. But the biggest factor perhaps is seeing the acne scars under indirect angled light. In short, I am amazed by this product. I have never before used a product that made such a significant difference to my acne scars in just one month. The scars on my temples are not just softer, they are barely there. My face is covered in acne scars of different types. But most of the scars are so called rolling scars. Now   I feel more optimistic and expect that with continuous use, this product will significantly reduce my acne scaring. This is more exciting for me than I can put into words...I would be happy to write updates on my progress.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
