Dry Skin
Very rough skin
Do not get this product if you have light pimples. I had reaaaally mild acne to begin with. but after using Murad, within 2 weeks i have strange red bumps growing at places where ive never had pimples growing before. My acne got WAY worse with Murad. I hoped that it would clear after a "purging period" but I have used it for about 6 weeks and my light acne has turned into moderately severe acne... My skin has never been this broken out. I would NEVER recommend this to anyone. I am going to try AcneFree. I'm hoping for a better result. I would'nt even give this product a 1.

Pros:
feels smooth on my skin and easy to work in. i have an oil problem and it took my oil away like nothing else ive used. actually improved my skin!
Cons:
leaves my skin a little dry when i wash off a little plastic feeling. so use a good moisturizer right after. might not want to use it day and night cus its kind of strong
was told about this from one of my friends (a model)and she HAD pretty bad acne. went out and bought it been using it for a couple weeks and im actually seeing results. not only with my acne but with my scars too. at first it irritated my skin and seemed to make it worse but stuck with it and i started seeing results

Pros:
- Minimizes pimples
- Makes face feel fresh and clean
- Leaves me with a smile on my face when I am done using it
- AWESOME Spot (or 'splotch') treatment (i shall explain below)
Cons:
- Does dry out the skin, but nothing a little moisturizer can't fix :)
- It smells a little, but really people it isn't bad. As long as you wash it off and put moisturizer, you are fine
So I am on a mission to get clear skin and I decided to try this cuz I was sensitive to benzoyl peroxide and I heard some not to pretty things about salicylic acid.Got it at Walmart for $8 for a 1.7 oz bottle and although it sounds like a rip off, a little does go a long way! I sometimes use this as a mask for my whole face (like once a week), but nowadays I am using it every night as a splotch treatment (instead of spot). My regimen is that at night I wash my face with soap (preferably Venus de Milo Beauty bar or Dove, but currently I had to resort to using cheap Irish Spring, but is has aloe in it so that is a plus) using a cotton ball to remove dirt and such. Then I use honey as moisturizer by putting honey all over my face splashing one handful of water and pat dry. (I need the extra moisture cuz I have dry skin) Then I apply the sulfur on the parts of my face that has the most concentrated pimples, making 3 splotches - a part of my forehead, and the sides of my cheeks. I sleep with it and when I wake up I wash it off with the aid of some soap (without cotton ball) and my face feels fresh and my small pimples are gone and the bigger ones have significantly reduced. Then I add honey as moisturizer and I am on my way to school, work, where ever! Bottom line is that yes, I recommend this product for those who suffer from moderate acne and can't use b.p. cuz it is so irritating!!! Also, I recommend using these type of things at night only because that is when your face is regenerating itself when you are sleeping. Also, eating fruits is important too in getting good skin! Spot treatment was a joke
I used this product for about 3.5 weeks, some days my skin looked better, some days it looked worse. I got a lot of painful pimples (which I usually only get about one of those a month) the rest are cystic. Didn't help clear up blackheads. This product probably does work for some people, it didn't necessarily make my skin worse, but it certainly didn't make it better and now I need to stop wasting my time and try something else.

I've been using this since the summer and I'm happy w/ the results. I had acne on my back, chest, and face and now I have none. Amazing since I've had acne since I was 11(i'm 28 now). I still have minimal breakouts but that's hormonal. Having clear skin 3 out of 4 weeks deserves 5 stars from me! I would recommend also using the clarifying toner since that seems to work great w/ the system. The system is a little drying but if you use a good moisturizer you should be ok. It's worth a try esp. if you've been playing the guinea pig all of your life w/ all of these other acne products. Good luck b/c having acne can really put a damper on life.

Causes cystic acne, irritation, redness, and makes you break out worse than before.
I'm in my late 20's and used this as I was starting to get acne on my cheeks for the first time. They were just small bumps, but annoying. After using Murad for 2 months, my acne became cystic for the first time in my life. It's been 4 months since I used this product and I'm just now starting to get back to normal. I wish I would have read these reviews before I tried this product.

Pros:
Seems to work pretty well as a spot treatment. Also helps tiny bumps on forehead. Product also lasts quite a few uses
Cons:
Quite ugly, especially while still wet. Thankfully my husband is used to seeing it. You have to use this pretty early on in a pimple's life for it to work effectively.
I would continue to buy this and use it on my cystic acne

Product used: Grandpa's (Thylox Acne Treatment Soap)
Pros:
Brightened skin up, helped brown spots and toning, helped blackheads and active acne a little.
Cons:
Dried me out. Not to say that would happen to everyone but it did for me. It caused tiny red spots on my outer cheeks and really irritated my skin after 3 or 4 uses.
I can definitely see this stuff helping a lot of people. I personally have dry skin naturally but I do also have oil in certain areas. What I found is that in the oily areas of my face, this soap was great and did it's job. However in my dry areas it only dried it out more and caused bad irritation and redness which led to breakouts. So basically, people with oily skin, blackheads, cysts and inflamed acne may find this soap helpful in those areas but it wasn't for me. I'm now using Grandpa's Oatmeal Soap which is much more mild and is doing an amazing job.

Burns a when you put it on. And smells like something is burning.
I bought the Neutrogena Acne kit and it did not work all it did was make my face soft. So in addition to using that kit I added Bye Bye Blemish on. Works way better than Neutrogena.
