What Is It?
First, a raised scar is surgically removed. Then, to prevent the recurrence of the scar, excision can be combined with the injection of corticosteroids, usually, corticosteroid called triamcinolone.
Even though excision combined with intralesional corticosteroid treatment completely removes the scar(s), in some cases, scar(s) may grow back after the treatment.
