Pros:

This stuff works! You have nothing to loose. I saw results after only 2 days. It has made my skin less oily and I have gotten no new zits since taking zinc. Also, it has cleared up some existing acne.

Cons:

Nothing. I have a very sensitive stomach and haven't experienced anything but I do take it with food in my stomach.

BUY THIS!

Pros:

Works well, clears me up almost.

Cons:

Not 100% perfect skin but nothing has done that for me so thats not really a big deal.

Its cheap and it works. Its worth a try.

Pros:

Works Immediately. The Cyst that i had went down by 40% overnight.

Cons:

Kinda expensive, I dun get where you guys get it so cheaply. Here in singapore it retails at SGD$23.00 , ard US$15 for a small bottle.

I've taken Zinc as mutivitamins but i found that i doesnt really work. As those multivits also contain zinc inhibitors, like iron, copper. Thus a supplement is mandatory for the treatment to work. Also the type of zinc is critical. Chelat is touted to be the best of all.

Pros:

None that I noticed.

Cons:

Didn't notice any improvement while taking it.

Long term dosage of 50mg per day can cause excessive hair loss. (2 months in my case!)

I started taking this in Gluconate form but never saw any benefit from it. I was also supplementing on Green Tea (2 cups per day) which I found out was actually making my skin WORSE. After stopping Green Tea I continued taking Zinc but I still had no improvement and suspected all of these supplements were making things worse. Also, 50mg can still be considered a high dose and after at least 2 months of high doses of Zinc you may experience rapid hair loss! I had to stop taking this and actually found my skin improved. I'm not clear right now but Zinc is useless for me. I believe my acne is pretty much fructose induced.

Pros:

Helped clear things up.

Cons:

Dont forget to take it!

It definitely wont do you any harm. It worked alot better the first 2 weeks, but that may have more to do with remembering to take it every night then. You have nothing to lose with this, its cheap. It wasnt a miracle cure for me, but it did help.

I had severe acne and had used all topical and oral medications except Accutane. I started taking 50 mg of zinc gluconate along with a Centrum multi-vitamin everyday for the past 6 weeks...and I don't get cysts anymore. I use a mild glyerine cleanser and that's it - all BP and SA products make me break out more!! I have only mild acne now so I'm very excited about that!

After reading so many positive reviews, I was hoping zinc would help. I religiously took 30 mg of zinc every morning along with my multivitiman that contains 15 mg of zinc. After two months, I have seen no improvement. My skin has become much drier. I use to just apply moisturizer in the a.m., but I've had to use it in the p.m. as well and skin is still dry and flaky. I've stopped taking the extra zinc and am just continuing with my multivitamin.

Pros:

works well
skin feels softer

Cons:

does work very fast
can cause head aches

i think that zinc is good because all it can do is make acne better so you have nothing to lose by taking it about 20 of my zits are gone after 2 weeks of using 70mg a day
