Very nice and gentle. I really notice the difference when I run out and haven't used it in a couple of days.

Pros:

Cheap, gentle, effective

This stuff is great for everyone, but for me ACV is much better. ACV however can dry out the skin pretty bad for some people. Witch hazel is much more gentle.

Pros:

Effective, natural, and inexpensive.

Cons:

None thus far

I love witch hazel. I have been using Dickinson's "Nothing But Clean Facial Toner" that contains mostly witch hazel but includes aloe vera, chamomile, and other soothing, all-natural ingredients. I have heard that plain witch hazel smells kind of weird, but it seems these added ingredients give it a decent smell. I have fairly mild acne that has persisted for 9 years, and I have finally found the right combination of products to control my complexion. Of those products, witch hazel is indispensable. It makes my skin smooth and appears to be helping with the prevention of breakouts. It's no miracle product, but it's the best toner I've ever used (I've tried dozens, including the Proactiv line).

Pros:

Very cheap effective astrigent.

Cons:

Initial smell is not great, but fades quickly!

I started using T.N. Dickinsons witch hazel while I was pregnant. I had to discontinue my prescriptions and had horrific acne my first trimester. This really helped alot. I would cleanse with jojoba oil ,then earth science facial wash.I also used earth therapeautics acne serum at night. I have develeped some allergies to propylene glycol and other stabilizers in skin care products over the years, so I had to go all natural. I've had very good results with this regimen. I still have some acne scarring, but the active cysts and pimples have diminished. I also noticed a decrease in facial oil, it was a slick even with tazorac.I would also use nelsons homeopathic acne gel occasionally. The cost for everything is around $25.00 and lasts for months. If there are any pregnant acne sufferers I hope this helps.

Pros:

Its in my Proactive Toner and it seems to work pretty well.

Cons:

Stings when first using it but you bring up a resistance to the singing.

Great for keeping your pores open, recommended it for everyone!
