Pros:

Makes my face feel squeaky clean.

Cons:

Does not prevent acne. But better than harsh chemicals! **Try to get witch hazel with as low an alcohol content as possible. Do your research.

I swipe a witch hazel solution (got it from a grocery store in the organic facial car aisle... didn't know grocery stores had these...) over my face every morning and night. It doesn't dry my face like astringent and seems to give me a nice glow right afterwards. Everyone's face is different, though, and this did nothing to prevent acne from forming. Many times people have allergies or intolerances to food, which causes them to have acne. You may also not be getting the proper nutrients. Try a change in diet/excercise before resorting to chemicals like Pro-Activ and topical treatments!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros:

I havent used the product for very long and im still not sure on it. it has helped to stop the acne from popping up as often and has heild some lingering scars from acne.

Cons:

It really isnt working like i thought it would i had a friend recomend it to me and it has worked great for her.

I think i could really enjoy the bennefits of this product better if i changed the type im useing. The witch hazel i have has a peach smell to it thats one of the main ingredients and i think everyone else is useing straight whitch hazel. any ways i have seen how it works for other people and i thinks its worth trying and hopefully everyone can enjoy the great results from it.

Pros:

Made my skin feel refreshed and revived. Left a clean feeling to skin after application. Tightened pores.

Cons:

The smell, but it does fade after ten minutes or so.

Cheap, inexpensive way to tighten pores and revive skin.

Pros:

CHEAP! You can find at any drug store. Gentle. Doesn't sting. Big bottle goes a long way.

Cons:

The smell is weird during the 1st few seconds of applying then it fades and is withstand able. I don't know if the Dickinson's brand smells weird or not.

I attached some links of photos of my face without makeup. They were taken on November 26, 2007.I started seeing results after a week and for sure after 2 weeks.I attached a photo taken almost exactly a month later around Christmas 2007.I have makeup on but you can tell the different of the texture of my skin. Now its the end of March 2008 and my skin is almost completely acne free.My scars are slowly fading or almost gone.I have deep ones which will probably take a while to fade out because I popped them.I have tried nearly EVERYTHING except for prescribed acne medication.Witch Hazel was my last hope before contacting a dermatologist.I saw some guy's video on You Tube and he showed his before and after photos as well. Then looked at some reviews on it at Acne.org. BEFORE: (this is how much acne my entire face had) [link removed]> AFTER: [link removed]

Pros:

None for me

Cons:

I've used this product off and on for years and it's never worked. I know it works for some people, just not for me.

Try it out, it may work for you. Most of the acne remedies are hit and miss, eventually one will work for you (I know, that totally sucks).

Pros:

*cleans skin
*reduces redness
*dries oils
*removes dead skin
*easy to apply

Cons:

*smell bothers some people(-not me)
*less is more-by applying too much, it can dry out your skin more

I would suggest witch hazel for light acne.

Pros:

-pleasant smell
-easy to apply
-non-irritating, non-drying
-improves feel of skin
-reduces acne

Cons:

-none as of yet!

I've been very impressed with this product... certainly one of the best I've ever used for my skin with dramatic results. Hopefully these results keep up, but so far this has kept any major zits from forming. I still have some, but it keeps them from getting bigger. I love how refreshed my skin feels after using this, and it doesn't disrupt the level of moisture of my skin.

Pros:

Certainly does what it says. But like with any product, it may not work for all, and varies from person to person.

Cons:

It smells like cheap tequila.

I use a 2% salicylic acid cleanser then follow it up with the witch hazel. There is an immediate reduction in the size of my pores. Keep in mind, this is not a permanent fix for enlarged pores, but it certainly reduced in their appearance for me. We'll see how it does over the long-term. But so far, I'm happy.

Pros:

Tones, cleans and heals.

Cons:

Smells bad. However, it's natural; something we're not used too as all products now contain artificial fragrance.

Witch Hazel does it's job. I reccomend you research the product before purchase so you know what to possibly exspect.
