Cleared up skin on face and chest and also made my combination skin less oily.

Cons:

Smells funny, but it's nor horrible.

My face cleared up considerably after trying almost everything for about four years. The acne on my chest also cleared up and my face is less oily.

Pros:

Doesn't leave stickiness some toners do, doesnt make skin feel tight, gentle, nice clean feel, cheap.

Cons:

none

I love this stuff. Ive always hated using toners because of how they feel, some are better than others of course but I love this stuff. Its nice and gentle which is a great, refreshing step inbetween the cleanser and the bp.

New favorite for adult acne
I recently began using this and I am in LOVE with the results. Throughout my teens and early 20s, I used Clean & Clear astringent. At my youngest, I regularly used the original C&C forumla with good to moderate results. However in my mid 20s I noticed it was becoming too harsh for my skin and switched to the sensitive-skin forulma. Now in my late 20s, I had to make yet another switch because even that was causing irritation. Finding Dickinson's Witch Hazel was nothing short of a miracle. Astringents were drying out, irritating, and just not helping my skin. But this all natural toner has improved my skin so quickly! People are noticing, and I'm feeling so relieved. The smell is...unique. It took some getting used to. But now, I've actually come to like it. It's described on the package as "botanical". It really smells like damp branches and dusty wild mushrooms. I'm not kidding. But it works!

Pros:

natural
cheap

Cons:

ineffective
broke me out
made skin oily
smelled horrible (I know, stupid to complain about that...but true)

I tried using this as a toner, and I swear, my face had never been so broken out. So many pimples! After not using it for a while, I just applied it to problem areas, hoping it would help because of all of the good reviews. I really wanted to like this, but I used this about a month ago, and my skin is still healing. :( Maybe it's just not for sensitive skin. Sometimes natural does not totally mean gentle. It DOES have 14% alcohol. Perhaps that was just a little too much for me. Bottom line...try it out. It's only about $1 to $3. If it doesn't work for you, at least it's not a waste of money. Give it away to someone who might want it; that's what I did. If it does work for you, you really get a lot of it for your money.

Pros:

It doesn't Irritate the skin, you can use it as often as you want, it is also good for removing makeup, and a quick way to clean your face if you don't have time to thoroughly wash. Great stuff. It also works for insect bites.

Cons:

Smells bad, but you get used to it, and you can buy witch hazel with added scent.

It works, great for sensitive skin, I love it.

Pros:

I have used it for a day or two, and it has helped out with everything, such as redness, any scrapes I have, acne, blackheads, and eye circles. Really great results.

Cons:

The smell is an acquired taste.

Use it once a day all over your face and neck, and if you would like to on cuts and bruises on arms and back.

Pros:

It makes a good astringent and toner. A completely natural remedy. You notice results almost immediately after you use the product.

Cons:

Causes temporary redness and irritation that can make application uncomfortable. Works well sometimes and doesn't others. It takes a pretty large quantity to treat the entire face.

Despite the few cons that there are, Witch Hazel is a great product. I can't stand to dump chemicals on my sensitive skin, so I love that witch hazel is natural and not medicated. Although it may sound strange, I really love the smell of this stuff; it's fresh and earthy. The product works very quickly, and I am over all happy with it. I would definitely suggest that everyone at least tries it!
