Pros:

Got rid of my acne and my skin felt smooth

Cons:

the smell

The only reason I purchased this was because it stated right on the bottle that it is used for facial cleansing. My intentions were to purchase alcohol (which doesn't work - but if alcohol can't clean the skin what can?) The very first time I used this my skin felt very smooth. I woke up the next morning and my acne started to disappear. I thought it just must be a coincidence, cause it couldn't possibly work that fast. I have been using it for 2 days and have noticed a HUGE difference in my skin. My pores are tighter, acne is starting to go away. Now just waiting to see if it helps to keep the returning acne from coming back. I thought it was just me over reacting about this product, until i read others comments about their pores being smaller also

Pros:

It has made pimples much smaller and skin a lot smoother.

Cons:

Smells a bit weird, but its bearable

I have tried a lot of different things, even tea tree oil but didn't work so well. On monday i went to sainsburys and saw witch hazel on the shelves, i had heard it worked before and as it was only 85p i just said 'what the heck' and went ahead. So far my skin feels and looks a lot better, the pimples have reduced a great deal in just around 72 hours. After i put on the Witch hazel i use a antiseptic cream and they work like magic.

Pros:

Erm, it works.

Cons:

None; I like the smell.

I have super sensitive skin, so I can't use many products, and definitely none that are supposed to fight acne (anything that contains Retinol, Benzoyl Peroxide, or Salicylic Acid, among other things breaks me out). I have used this product for a little over a year now, and throughout all my skin care routines, this has never turned on me. I use Dickinson's 14% Witch Hazel Extract toner. I recently switched to using this only once a day (in the morning). I now use lemon juice at night as a scar treatment. But when I was using it twice a day, it worked just as well. People complaining about the smell worried me, but it really doesn't smell unpleasant. It smells a bit outdoorsy, but it doesn't carry. No one else can smell it, and after 5 minutes, I can't either.

Pros:

Drastically reduces pore size
Exfoliates and removes dirt
Moisturizes

Cons:

None! absolutely none!

I have only been using this product for four days day. I went to Henry's Farmer's Market and purchased Thayers brand original witch hazel with aloe vera. It has a pleasant scent and is not distilled so you receive all the benefits of the natural tannins. It doesn't sting and makes for a great toner after cleansing! The bottom line is that four days ago my acne was so horrible and inflamed that I refused to leave the house. Since using the witch hazel three times a day, my skin is almost completely clear. I noticed my pores under my eyes and on my nose have been greatly reduced. After cleansing (I use Is Clinical Cleansing Complex) I would apply the witch hazel. I would also cleanse and apply again before bed. I would also apply the witch hazel mid day. It cools, heals and closes up your pores. It has pushed my black heads and white heads to the surface and out. It stops bleeding, pussing and works great on open or popped acne!

Pros:

made my face look a little brighter than before that's about it

Cons:

if you have sensitive skin this will break you out.

I have sensitive skin and I saw awesome reviews on this product so being the product junkie that I am for skin I brought it. This was a waste like the rest of the products. I wish I could return it because the next day my face look bright but it did not help with any pimples. In fact it made pimples appear. I saw two newly red pimples on the side of my face. I was highly disappointed because I was really hoping it worked. I hate toners they just don't do any justice for my skin.

Pros:

cheap, effective cleanser/toner, great for oily blemish prone skin, get 100% witch hazel from superdrug and its pure, no additives or chemicals

Cons:

none

its fab stuff, natural product that used after cleansing will clen pores, help heal spots and tone the skin, personally I have very oily skin and this really helps me out when used twice a day. The witch hazel gel called witch doctor is great too applied to any spots overnight
