Pros:

Really decreased the oil production in my T-Zone.

Cons:

Made me breakout on my forehead worse than I have in years at about week 6. Getting better now. The loose bowel movements and diarhea are incessant and really annoying. I'm about to lose my patience with this trick.

I started taking VB5 about two months ago. My forehead was perfect but my T-zone had issues. After about 6 weeks my T-zone was very stable with no breakouts at all but my forehead had a horrible breakout. By week 10 forehead has cooled but there are still areas that seem unaffected by the dosage. I take 4G per day, I've just upped it to 8G. I'm almost terified of the diarahea getting any worse with a higher dosage so I will see. The product is priced moderately but taking this many pills every day is quite a hassle. I'm looking for other alternatives. Lastly, I read in another post that the person had panic attacks. I'm as cool as a fish, have a fast paced life and love stress in general. However, I've noticed a heightened sense of "caution" lately to stimuli that would never have fazed me before. I found this quite odd so I'm taking notes. And I think 2 in 3 of these posts are real, the 3rd is being posted by someone other than a person with acne for some other purpose.

For me Vit B5 has seemed to clear up my forehead near enough to clear, which I think is def some improvement...however, I have uncontrollable acne on my cheeks now and it doesnt seem to stop I never had this amount of acne on my cheeks before, hope soon it will dry out, I dont take the high doses of Vit B5 of 20 tabs a day as for some reason it makes it worse and it lessens as soon as i stop taking a high dose so i stick to 10 caps a day...also I think you should drink at least 1.5 litres of water especially when taking the vit B5 as it helps flush it out better and is good for the skin also.

I just started using vitamin B5 three days ago after reading so many positive reviews. Some of them sound so good (although I was suspicious that they might be written by vitamin sellers). I hope not. I have mild acne. My skin is oily around the T-zone. I decided to take 5g a day for the first three days. On the second day in the morning, I noticed a lot of small red pimples on my forehead (about 20). But, as everyone probably read before, it is probably caused by your skin pushing out the already forming ones. I hope that is what it is. Today is the third day, and I have a little bit more of pimples than I had the previous day. I hope this means this vitamin is working. I will come back and leave another review in about a week and tell you guys what happened. (Just look for reviews by Kate from CA, US)
