Pros:

None. Didn't see any improvement.

Cons:

Constant diarreah. Waste of time, money.

Why waste your money. It doesn't work. Have your doctor perscribe Bactrim or Minocycline. These are the only things that have worked for me.

Pros:

Did help reduce oil on my face.

Cons:

Major thinning, balding

I was on a dosage of vilantae at 10g per day for five weeks. I have only mild acne but oily skin. At first product was great skin oil reduced and acne subsided to almost completely clear at around 3 weeks in. At the start of the 4th week started to notice hair was easily falling out when washing, but considered that maybe I was looking to closely, at the end of the 4th week, hair was brittle and dry and shedding at an alarming rate, at that point I quit, but another 3 weeks on I have almost a complete bald patch on the right hand-side next to my ear. I feel ripped and vain for buying into this, as my acne was so mild. BEWARE OF B5.

Pros:

Its cheap

Cons:

Did nothing for me

Although it is cheap it has done almost nothing for me except stomach growling every couple of hours, gas, loose stools for the past two months i have been on 6-10mg per day. If i were you i would try zinc it has made my oily skin less oily especially around noon when it is an oil slick.

Pros:

Easy to get, no prescription required, RELATIVELY low-cost

Cons:

Didn't work! Made skin around lips and eyes dry, itchy and peel but rest of face was still an oil spill.

I wanted so much for this to work for me, after doing a lot of research and determining it seemed to work so well for everyone else. I was taking the time-release 500mg pills from [link removed] and followed their recommended dosage for the first two weeks. When I still saw absolutely no results (in fact my skin seemed to get worse and I got acne in strange places I'd never had it before, like my neck and shoulders) I upped the dosage on my own to 10g/day which is WAY too many pills and also, at this rate, the product becomes almost as expensive as Accutane. Another 2 weeks and STILL no results. The only effect I've noticed is that my lips and the skin around my lips are very dry, chapped, itchy and irritated. My hair is also very dry and brittle and thinning. But my face is just as oily as ever and I continue to break out regularly. I wish this had worked for me.

Cons:

I feel a lot of the people writing reviews are plugging it so they can get sales for their products.

I was on Vitamin B5 for about a year and even though it did reduce oil it gave me A LOT OF SIDE EFFECTS!!! A lot lighter hair; brittle, fine, falling out hair; strong tingling/buzzing sensation in the left foot; constant tiny muscle twitches in the calves; bloating/stomach discomfort after lunch; intense restless legs at night; some fatigue; sore and swollen tongue; mouth ulcers; tooth impressions down the sides; intermittent diarrhea; a rash of dermatitis round the nose; occasional panic attacks; acne also came back once I stopped taking the pills!!!
