Pros:

Didn't experience anything positive

Cons:

Too many pills to take in one day
Hard to keep up with
Expensive if you use it long term
Dizzy

I basically tried this out for a week....yeah I know thats not long enough but still. I got really tired with keeping up w/ taking so many pills. And a lot of times it would make me tired and dizzy. Sometimes even too tired to stand up. Plus, it would've costed me a lot to continue on the pills. I took 5 or 10 grams a day and a whole bottle of 250 pills wouldn't have even lasted me 2 weeks.

Pros:

none

Cons:

none

Went through two bottles so that's about 200 pills within 2 weeks. I know some suggested you have to wait longer to see results, but i'm gonna stop now. Didn't see less oil production or smaller pores etc. I'm gonna try the fish oil regimen now.

Pros:

Definitely helped me.

Cons:

B5 works, sort of, but its a remedy not a cure.

Try the following instead: Give up cows milk (for info on this do a search on acne + milk on the internet). I've given up cows milk and seen a massive improvement (although to be fair I used to drink a lot of milk). Also cut back on sugar as much as possible. You've heard this before - but the important thing is the total sugar you eat - from any source - not only mars bars and ice cream. Some fruit smoothies for example contain 25% sugar & even carrot juice is apparently high in sugars. Both of these are supposed to be good for you but I am totally/100% convinced that high sugar intake aggravates acne. Also some supplements possibly help - MSM (in high doses), evening primrose oil & starflower oil.

Pros:

none

Cons:

As soon as i started taking it my acne got worse and worse and worse, i took the dam stuff for over a month two! this is the worse my acne has ever been in my life!

It seems that it works for some people, I obviously wouldn't recommend it to anyone because of what it did to me. Seriously just go get accutane, that's what im doin today.

Don't know yet

Cons:

Just discovered these reviews so at the weekend I went and bought 100 500mg timed release B5 tablets, 50 Vitamin B complex and 100 multi vits. Having read all the reviews on here I though I would try out my own regime. I have suffered from acne since about 15 and I'm 31 now. I don't get that many spots but they're still unsightly and I don't like having a spotty back and chest, especially when getting naked with a girl for the first time... I'm a bit worried about the side effects - hair loss etc and also if you take a massive dose all the time that acne will be a lot worse when you stop. What I'm doing is having 2X 500mg in the morning with a B complx, and 2X 500mg in the evening with the multi vit. What I am hoping is I can gradually find my doseage without shocking my system too much. I'm going to do a week at this level and then see if anything has happened. Fingers crossed. :)

Pros:

I seriously can't think of any. False hope.

Cons:

Supposedly you need to take a very large dose.

I don't want you to waste your money. As acne sufferers we are desperate to find a cure to this awful disease ASAP. We scour the internet for all sorts of strange remedies and we get caught up in these so called fixes. I've tried everything. Vitamin E, Zinc, Vitamin C, and all sorts of over the counter medications and nothing really has worked for my acne. Like you I am somewhat desperate to find a cure and Vitamin B (5 grams a day for 2 months) has been proven to be ineffective. I am disappointed and I don't want anyone to fall into the same trap so don't buy this stuff. There have been no conclusive studies on the effectiveness of Vitamin B on acne. It's all myth and hearsay from anonymous reviewers.

Pros:

try using acnezine

Cons:

a lttle expensive but well worth it

its just one pill a day works extremely fast with no side effects and best of all once you've taken it for a few months you can come off of it and you wont have any break outs, unlike vitamin b5 were you have to keep taking it to see the rsults and take stupid amount of pills.

Pros:

seemed to reduce skin oil?

Cons:

made me break out MUCH worse than before, made me feel sick. dried out skin and didn't let anything heal.
Maybe i didn't try it for long enough, but i don't care-this stuff didn't make me feel right at all.

Sounds a little like accutane at first? i dont know cause i haven't been on accutane but my guess is no, they aren't all that similar. No where near the amount of research has been done on b5 as it has been on accutane, so i think accutane might even be safer-hard to tell. Starting at 5 and going up to 10g/ day is so unnatural for your body, and it throws other chemical balances in your body out of wack. ive read good reviews on this (why i went on it) but no matter what they say, i cant imagine megadosing on this stuff is good for you. Save yourself the trouble and don't try it.

Pros:

it does work for your skin

Cons:

you will lose your hair

telogen effluvium sucks... worse than acne. don't know what it is? good. don't find out. DO. NOT. DO. THIS.
