Pros:

For the first time in my life, I've been told I have beautiful skin! ACV leaves your face plump, glowing, and smooth. It brings your blackheads to the surface and you just rub it off. Changed my zits into pores.

Cons:

Smells bad...but I use it at night only and it goes away.

It's cheap and it works. I use only organic ACV and just pour a few drops into rose water and use it as a toner. My skin looks fresh.

Pros:

lightens red marks
shrinks up residual material from cystic acne, boils, etc.

Cons:

can be irritating if not diluted enough

i have been putting heinz white vinegar on my face for 1 week, concentrating on a lumpy area that used to be a big boil. The area where I had the boil is hyperpigmented and makes it look worse. I was desperate to lighten the red/purple mark and shrink up the lumpy stuff under my skin from the boil. Within 2 days of using this on my face I noticed a big difference in my skin. After a week the red spot is noticeably lighter and the lump has flatened out so much. I have been using 1 tsp of vinegar to 5-7 tsps of water for my entire face and 1 to 3 for the boil area. After 10-15 minutes I put cetaphil on my face and wipe off with a cloth, then moisturize with emu oil, aloe vera gel, and vitamin e oil (the latter only on the cheeks). This has really helped my face and I recommend it highly to anyone who suffers from acne or boils.

I applied Apple Cider Vinegar mixed with water for one month. I didn't see any improvements. Also, the smell is awful.

Temporary
This worked temporarily on my body, but after about a week of use it had diminishing returns and just dried out my skin.

Hmm - Nah
ACV... eh Not good nor bad - Doesn't cause breakouts but doesn't really get rid of them...

You have to keep doing it. Nothing is instant. It takes several months to see change, and 3-5 months to see permanent/significant improvement.

Average
Didn't really work for me. Irritating and yet didn't seem to reduce cystic acne significantly. Only for the lightest of cases of acne.

Pros:

Actually does help clear skin, inexpensive, and natural.

Cons:

Smells awful, stings a bit, social stigma, and irritation.

I apply this twice a day, and my problem areas have gotten a lot smoother. I also started drinking it too, so I'm not sure which is more effective. The thing is, I only have breakouts on my forehead and chin, and when I apply this all over, my cheeks get really red and irritated. There's even a really clear line under my eyes where it went. So, I'd really recommend either diluting this (which I'm considering) or just using it on your active breakouts, because it might just irritate the rest. I don't even have sensitive skin, though I am prone to redness. Finally, make sure you get the good stuff. You might save 50 cents on the cheap vinegar, but from what I've seen, it's worth it to go organic. I use Trader Joes, and it's 2.50 for a bottle that will last forever.

Pros:

Works, cheap, and gentle. Works well wit face oils(see below)
Face oils: 1 tbsp of coconut oil, almond oil, & hazelnut oil...then add 20dp of lavender EO, 10 german chamomile EO, 6 Eucalyptus EO. only use 3-5 drops of the blend, soak in for 5 mins

Cons:

Smells like vinegar..ew

I have uubbeerr sensitive skin, an allergy to soy, and a milk intolerance. Which will all break my skin out if I eat them. So im a vegetarian who does not eat soy(lol). Anyway, Ive had acne since I was 11...you would think as i approach my mid 20s things would calm down, ha! I changed my diet from crap (fast food, preservative laced food, ect) to organic healthy food. Then my skin started breakin out WAY more...what the freak?? is what was goin through my mind!! Well a lot of healthy foods have a lot of soy!! Darn my luck. Point..I had about 35-45 pimples at any given moment. What worked(s): -Changed my diet -Exfoliate once a week wit baking soda -Add 1 teaspoon of organic apple cider vinegar to my final/last rinse after i wash my face wit black soap -Pat dry, and add my special blend of face oils (yes oils!) Real black soap is soft and has-palm oil, palm kernal oil, coconut oil, plantain skins, cocoa pod ashes. Added 20 drops of Lavender Essential Oil & 20dp Eucalypt

Pros:

WORKS! It got rid of all my pimples and whiteheads within five days. AFFORDABLE! Most likely, you already have it in your house waiting to be put to good use.

Cons:

At first - the smell. But it doesn't phase me anymore.

Go ahead and try it - give it a couple weeks to see how it affects your skin. Chances are it's your key to a clear face. I use regular white vinegar, and I DON'T dilute with water. After I remove my make-up with Neutrogena Cream Cleanser I pour some on a cotton ball and just swipe my face and leave it on for ten minutes before I wash with my OXY Face Wash with 10% BP. Once my face dries, I spot treat with the Equate 10% BP cream from Wal-Mart for $2.00. I have been using this method for about 3 months now and my face has COMPLETELY transformed. Good luck <3
