Pros:

Clears up folliculitis, kills bacteria, VERY inexpensive. You don't have to buy some specialty, organic mumbo jumbo for this to work. Just go to the grocery store and get regular old vinegar or apple cider vinegar, nothing fancy.

Cons:

Burns
Can burn skin and leave it dark

I took the bad with the good here. Honestly, after taking Minocin gave me folliculitis, I couldn't figure out what to do to make it go away. Fortunately, my GP gave me Bactrim and I began putting apple cidar vinegar, and then later plain white distilled vinegar on my acne effected areas. It worked wonders!! I could see and feel the vinegar bubbling up and killing bacteria, and that sensation only lasted a few seconds. While it did kill off the bacteria with the help of Bactrim, it also left the acne and folliculitis effected areas darker, as if the skin was dead. But that was fine, because a week or so later, the skin was loose enough that I could just scrub it away and the skin underneath was like BRAND NEW, SOFT, CLEAR baby skin. The marks took a while to heal but my skin was def healthier. I tried drinking down ACV and that's just gross. I can't even shot the stuff....so I just applied it topically. My acne was once severe but now it is nonexistent, so I just put "very light"

Pros:

best results achieved when you drink and apply acv
dries up acne, but not overnight

Cons:

smell, use only at night
stings if used full strength. dilute.

im glad that i tried using braggs acv for my acne. synergistic effect is achieved when it is applied topically as astringent and when it is taken internally daily. it dries up acne, makes pores smaller and overall gives a glowy clear clean smooth face.

Pros:

I have seen such a change in my skin its amazing. I drink it and use it in the morning, I use finacea at night and i feel so good. If you have mild acne with semi oily skin i recommend finacea, it helps the redness and the scars over night. epharmacy

Cons:

the smell blows, especially if you are in a hot area the smell is much more strong. i dont care though, clear skin is clear skin. pain is beauty

use this stuff. its awesome, cheap and amazing!!!

Pros:

Truly clears acne instead of just hiding it or temporarily 'drying it up'.
(Be patient)

Cons:

The more sensitive your skin, the more it burns.
Causes a little redness and swelling.
Things get worse before they get better (But it's worth it).

RECOMMENDED! This is not a superficial treatment, it's almost as if it brings all the acne up and out, so it will get worse as everything seems to 'come to the surface' before 'coming out' or 'being destroyed'.

Pros:

It works better than over the counter treatments

Cons:

The smell, it fades away though

My every night routine: I first wash my face with a scrub made of baking soda & water. I then use the ACV at half strength (mixed with water) with a cotton ball. Once a week, I will wear a mask made up of simply egg whites for 20 minutes. I used to have the worst acne, but my skin has been clear for the past year. I think the ACV even helped fade my old acne scars.

Pros:

(This review is for ACV topically)

Works AMAZINGLY for: Red Marks, Exfoliating, Evening the skin tone/pH

Cons:

Full strength ACV did AWESOME, but left damage..
Oh, and I noticed it makes my nose sooooo incredibly oily.

Do not use ACV full strength! Maybe for a few people it's ok. After a week of it full strength, it ate away a layer of skin around my mouth. Which left it looking like I got some lipstick and made a circle around my mouth. It did great for a couple fresh red marks around there, but other than that it was embarresing and hurt. However, 50:50 ACV is still amazing at getting off dead skin, and evening things out. I did notice it makes my nose produce more oil, while it's said to make oil production less... Depends on who you are, but definatly give this a shot, well worth it!! (my price is for a gallon of ACV)

Pros:

Best thing ever. Can use full strength if immediately followed by Aloe Vera.

Cons:

Smell, who cares though. It fades.

Best thing I have used for my acne. Love it. I apply it topically and digest it. Careful because it can be harsh on the teeth. Dilute it, make ice out of it, or use a straw to avoid this.

No, No ... Just No!
No, No ... Just No! I tried using a very weak solution of Apple Cider Vinegar in water to treat my skin. One use gave me the equivalent of a nasty sunburn. It serves me right for not doing a patch test first. This might work great for some people, but it was a definite fail for me.

If you skin is extra sensitive, dilute it even more. Follow up with a moisturizer. I use grapeseed oil. This regimen has gotten me 100% clear..even clogged pores.

On the process...
I started using White Vinegar (because it's the only available to our house) last Monday as my final battle to acne. I've been an acne warrior since I was 13 and until now that I am 21 years old, I still has them. my case is different because instead of the common red bumpy, with a liquidy content pimple, I have a white, grain-like whiteheads that always bugs me to be pick up causing my face to scar. I've tried many products from the expensive to the cheap one but still no effect. My friend, suggested that I should try the natural approach and that's the time that I explore the wonders of vinegar. During 6 days of using, regular pimples (red one) appear. It made me nervous that the vinegar treatment is a hoax but my friend says that it's just the start. That the vinegar actually clean the innermost part of my skin until it runs out of dirt. So even though I have a really bad skin as of now, I still try using this. I'll just update you guys on my progress.
