Living proof this works
I started using this cleanser about two years ago along with the daily moisturizer At that time I had a form of Rosacea happening to my face.it hurt and was red and so horrible I wouldn't go outside at all. Nothing seemed to work. I saw this at the store and researched it. Took it home and began my regimen So literally on my second day of washing my face in the morning, I felt skin coming off as I lightly massaged the cleanser into my face. I was thinking uh oh but continued on. I looked at my hands and it was like if you got sunburned and started peeling the dead skin. I rinsed my face to find that the redness literally turned into dead skin and washed away. I told my family I felt like a shedding reptile at that moment. My skin felt so soft and new. I fell in love immediately. I will say that if you use the moisturizer also which I believe is what made this happen, use a very little amount as the wash is fragrance free but the moisturizer isn't. Don't make sense but it is what it is. I had to stop using the product for a while because just like anything else fornyour body if you don't take a break you get immune to it which I did because I was scared to stop and use anything else. So what I did was use their moisturizing bar with colloidal oatmeal for a month or so. Wow love the aveeno line!!!!! Kudos aveeno but remove fragrance from moisturizer please!!!!!

Pros:

Gentle, non-abrasive, fresh-cleansing, affordable

Cons:

Pump Dispenser gets stuck!!!

I am 27 with fair, acne-prone skin. Been using this product over the past 2 years & like it better than anything else. Every time I try something new, I always revert back to this one. It's very gentle, does not irritate my skin, cleans w/o being abrasive, smells fresh (almost no smell at all). I used to use face scrubs w/ micro-beads, but that only irritated my skin & acne. This foam took some getting used to when I quit the scrubs, but I love it. I use it when I wake up & before I go to bed (followed by Clearogen lotion). The only thing I really hate about this product is the bottle design! Grrrr.... Midway through the bottle, the pump is uncooperative & will get stuck when you push it down. They really need to make a better pump for this bottle. That's the only improvement I can ask for. Please correct this Aveeno!

Pros:

I think this cleanser is great for people with sensitive, oily skin. It makes my skin soft, and a lot of the redness has gone away. I tend to be allergic to perfumes, and it has never bothered me.

Cons:

I hate the pump dispenser. It stopped working properly the week I got it. If I didn't love the cleanser so much, I probably wouldn't use it just for that.

I love the product and will continue to use it. I've tried a number of products and never had the results that I've had with this. Reading over the reviews, I think many of the bad reviews are from those with dry skin, and this is probably not the best product for that type of skin. I also think Aveeno is good for slightly older skin (30+), as I think the type of acne older skin tends to develop needs to be dealt with differently from younger skin. Most cleansers are not meant to be used as makeup removers, and you should use a separate remover for makeup.

Pros:

Very gentle, washes off easily, doesn't try, I use it to wash my makeup brushes too.

Cons:

Nothing much 'acne fighting' here so just be aware of that.

Does a clean and gentle job, leaves skin smooth, but eventually I needed something stronger but I still keep this around for the occasional use and plus to wash my brushes. =)

Pros:

Didn't cause any new breakouts

Cons:

Hasn't cleared acne entirely, and is a little drying, but nothing a light moisturizer can't help!

Isn't to abrasive as it is a foaming cleanser, will continue to use.

Pros:

IT is very gentle since it is a instant foam wash. You dont really have to rub your face hard to feel it working. Very gentle and it cleans well. It makes my skin feel a little soft

Cons:

Like with other cleansers, I still fee dry after pat drying my face. IT dries me out less than most other cleansers, but that drying out affect is what made me write this con. Otherwise it is very good.

Very gentle...less friction with rubbing face. Less irritation. But that drying out affect, although minimal, is still there
