Acne.org : Treatment (Benzoyl Peroxide - 2.5%)

The benzoyl peroxide is a great product within the regimen. The 2.5 percentage is great, and anything greater than that really is unnecessary (I have tried them all). What is important here is that it is used appropriately, and accordingly. With that being said, I certainly recommend the BP. When battling my acne, I was using the entire treatment twice daily until my skin cleared. I now use the cleanser and moisturizer daily, and the BP approximately 3 times weekly to maintain my skin. I have used the bp individually without the other products and found that it was not effective without the other components. Each step has its importance. It is very important to apply the bp to cleansed and completely dried skin. It is also important to apply a thinner, rather than thicker coat (avoiding areas too close to the eyes and mouth if you are easily irritated there). And MOST importantly is moisturizing after the benzoyl peroxide has fully dried. I cannot stress how vital it is to moisturize and the reason being is that the bp not only unclogs your pores and helps stop bacteria, but it acts as a drying agent. Thus, it is important to return the moisture that the bp is eliminating by moisturizing it. I have oily skin and I have found that the best way to actually minimize and beat the oil was not by drying it out, but by moisturizing it more.

I have oily acne-prone skin with moderate, stubborn acne, and I have tried almost everything. I cannot be happier with this product and I wish I had found this when I was in high school struggling with acne! There's something in this product that really makes a difference because I had bought an over the counter tube of 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide, but that did nothing to help with my acne. When using this, I do not break out as often anymore, and only get minor pimples from time to time. I have been using this product for two years, and it is still the only thing that will work for my skin. Highly recommend!

After over a year of using this treatment, I have to say, it does a pretty good job at treating my acne. I had bad cystic and overall just horrendous acne almost all over my face, tried Antibiotics, blu-u light, retinoids...etc and The Regimen basically took care of it. I dries my skin, big time! I am over 30 and is no good to have dry skin because wrinkles are more noticeable, but I look way better with my clear face now than before, so I guess, it is worth it, plus! I moisturize like crazy.

this product cleared my skin from acne so well i never thought i'd actually find something so helpful. I've been using it for about 2 years now, however, results were instant and i continue to use it to clear random pimples. the most important thing that i have noticed that makes this product work wonders is when you completely follow what the directions say. when they say wait till your skins dry, wait! when they say use a pea size and gradually increase, do that! your skin has to get used to this product and you cannot be impatient and want to put a lot on, as much as you'd want to. Also, you want to be as gentle with your skin as possible. i recommend this all the time and my stepsister ended up having itchy, red and sensitive skin when she tried it. this was mainly because she did not follow the directions closely. it ended up working great after! therefore, be patient and follow the directions and hopefully by then you will see results! you will see results a lot faster than you think (:

I know most of you here have got good results from BP but I have to say it gave me hives. I had to go to a doctor and get an anti allergy.

I've been on this regimen for almost two months now. I've tried everything from the drugstore to high end but none of them work! I started using the body shop tea tree line and it works for a couple months then i started break out again. I'm very oily and I get acne where I touch my face or if I drink sweet stuffs my acne would purge out. My acne was in control for a Couple of months after I came back from my vacation, my jaw line started to break out and I thought it was normal but then a couple of days later, there was pimples on pimples and it was gross. I wouldn't even go out because I felt so ugly. I came across acne. Org on YouTube and everyone said it works so I decided to try it out. I mean what is the worse could happens. When I first started using it, my face was peeling and dry and itchy. I even email the company and they get back to me the next day said it was normal ( they were super nice). My acne started to clear up the first week but then there was still pimple there and then. I was peeling for a month but THE ACNE ON MY JAW LINE WENT AWAY. I went ahead and added the AHA+ to my routine and the first night it was burning so bad which was normal so I stopped doing that then just add the moisturizer with the AHA+ together. Now my skin is clear but I still break out there and then. Now I'm able to go out with my bareskin because it's clear and it has this natural glow which is nice. I would recommend people with acne to try this because it really work and will worth your money!

I've had acne since i was 13 years old. Just know that its more than cleanliness to the face. Acne develops from the inside out. Ive bought acne.org's regimen several times and for the most part it did a good job. Benzoyl peroxide is great at reducing the inflammation as it is similar to the way hydrogen peroxide works; it kills bacteria. It won't necessarily prevent acne but it will help combat it when its inflammed. Does not reduce oil production but helps minimize whiteheads.

I have been using the treatment for approximately 3 years. When I started my freshman year of college, I struggled with severe inflammatory and cystic acne. I reached an emotional breaking point, I couldn't stand looking at myself and was horribly insecure about how I appeared to others. I contemplated starting Accutane and foregoing bone grafting surgery (I could not use Accutane while undergoing surgery). I found the treatment and I am so happy I did. It does dry out the skin and make the skin sensitive to the sun, but it is effective as long as you are careful and persistent. I stopped the treatment for about 5 months thinking I was clear, but due to hormonal changes and stress my acne came back. I have reinvested myself in the treatment and I am clear again. After 3 years I have learned a few tricks to make using bp easier, in particular adding an aloe vera to soothe and hydrate the skin. I definitely recommend this product if you have acne and do not want to use Accutane, just make sure to use an SPF.

i normally dont leave reviews but this was the best purchase i have ever made. I honestly have used so many products from the indian clay mask to using prescription products. It would work for awhile then stop, or would dry my skin out and more acne would come. But this product dries out the acne with care lol if that makes sense. Not so harsh where your skin starts to hate you but not so light where its not working. Just be patient, delicate, and consistent and it will work for you. Gaining my self confidence back thanks to this product. Hope this products works for you as well as it did for me.
