Pros:

it works, but you must have it on your face all day

Cons:

will destroy your face if used without lotion or moisturizer

find a way to have this stuff on your face all day and night. it works. i had clear skin until i moved to harrisonburg about a year and a half ago, then i started breaking out within a few weeks of starting my new job. i had always used a 10% cream at night but that stopped working and it only got worse. tried switching products, proactiv, nothing worked. doc prescribed minocycline a few months ago, which helped a little, but was still getting lots of little pimples. when i first bought the BP gel i could only use it at night since it dried out my face too much. about a month ago i started using the the BP gel 2 or 3 times a day with regular lotion, vaseline total moisture...wash, apply lotion and let dry, then add the BP gel. i'm guessing i was coming into contact with something at work that was breaking me out, because since i've started having it on while working i've seen awesome results, and my face isnt totally dried out either. so glad to finally see re

Pros:

Actually Works! and cleared skin up quickly. What more do you need? Isn't that my we're all here?

Cons:

First week of using my skin was extremely dry
Bleaching of pillows and towels
Length of time morning and night

My acne wasn't that bad, but in my early 20s I thought that my problem skin should have slowed down by now, if not ceased completely. The logic behind the benzoyl peroxide seemed well based so I decided to give it a try. It made my skin extremely dry and irritated for the first week and lengthened my morning and nighttime skin-care regimen by a large amount, but I stuck with it and after 1 week my skin acclimated to the product and wasn't dry, after just 1 month of consistent use my skin was completely clear, and 4 months later I have not had one pimple. I wish that I had discovered this years ago. I don't even worry anymore about getting a pimple as long as I'm consistently using this regimen.

Pros:

Best regimen ever!!!

Cons:

Only onw I can think of, bleaches fabrics but now I just use white pillow cases and be careful about getting dressed while it is still drying

I tried everything for my moderate acne (almost always a few spots and have had it since I was 13 and now I am 33) including Proactive and Retin A micro. Proactive didn't work and was expensive! Retin A got rid of sun damage but didn't help the acne and no matter how little I used and how much moisturizer I put on, after a year my face was still red and scaly from the Retin A and I still broke out. I use Dan's BP, wash with Cetaphil, and use Aveeno or Cetaphil moisturizer with sunscreen. It didn't dry my face out, but it was already dry from the Retin A, so it actually was less dry when I started the BP. I literally have no acne now and have remained clear for three months!! I never thought I could ever have such great skin! Such a simple and inexpensive regimen changed my life! I just wish I had found Dan's site and tried it years ago! I also don't have to use nearly as much BP as the directions indicate, but I do have a small face :)

Pros:

Cheap and easy to use. Can be used under makeup.

Cons:

Bleaches fabrics.

THE ONLY THING THAT WORKS!!! By the 2-3 week I was 98% clear. I have now been using Dan's BP for 5 weeks and my acne scars are beginning to fade. 1st week my skin was very red. I used baking soda/water (instead of Dan's cleanser) as my cleanser to flake off my dry skin and than use lOTS of moisturizer at night after applying the BP. I no longer use Dan's cleanser at all, since for me it's very drying and the baking soda is something that clears my acne by half all by itself. I only use a little BP about a pea size - because I switch back to baking soda. I hope this helps somebody. THANK YOU DAN!

Pros:

Gel form doesn't leave white streaks, it dries smoothly, hygienic pump bottle, gentler than 10% BP formulas and just as effective, caused no irritation

Cons:

Bleaches fabric, not available in stores

I've been using Acne.org's BP gel for a couple of weeks now and I really love it. It doesn't sting on my face, it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry or flaky, it dries clear and smooth, and it's very effective. I apply it right before the AHA lotion. The fact that it can easily bleach fabric is sort of a peeve, but I can deal with it. I hated having to constantly replace my tiny tubes of 10% BP creams, and this huge pump bottle is so much more convenient and sanitary.

Pros:

The price is excellent for the product value, and the gel formula is easy to use. It's not too terribly overdrying and overpowering. It does it's job.

The best thing about this product is that it lasts a long time thanks to Dan's packaging, and it really does it's job.

Pros:

Everything... I'm in love with Dan...

Cons:

Now the packaging is different!
I like the old packaging... :(

Well, I've been using Dan's regimen for over 3 months... since last November. and let me tell you... IT WORKS! WORKS! WORKS! To tell you the truth, I was sorta worried because It didn't make my skin better for little over 2 months, then it started to kicking off on middle of January! I was thinking about stop using Dan's BP because I thought I waited long enough (little over 2 months), but NOOOOO~~~~~ now I'm so glad that I didn't gave up. I still have some red marks and scars, but i can cover them by putting a makeup, it feels awsome to have smooth skin surface, rather than bumpy skin! For now, i'm only using BP at night, because I don't have that much of time in the morning.... but works great for me. Thank you soooooo much Dan! I'm almost done with my BPs I need to order them more... now it has travel size too!

Pros:

Goes on smoothly. No flaky residue when moisturizer is applied over it.

Cons:

Hasn't done anything to diminish my acne. Makes my face look and feel very greasy.

I don't know, I really want this to work for me, especially after reading all of the other great reviews. I have skin that is pretty greasy but if I wash it it becomes so dry I can't even move my face, and flakes all over the place. The bottom line is that this gel hasn't helped my acne yet, and makes my skin feel dirty and gross.

Pros:

Spreads easily, no grittiness, inexpensive, not irritating, no extra crap in it. Also, it does not bleach my clothing.

Cons:

NONE!!

I'm happily addicted, and my skin is clearing up. Amazing, considering I'm 55, have had non-inflammatory acne since age 12, and though my breakouts and blackheads have diminished somewhat in menopause, they have not disappeared. Not until I started Dan's BP Gel. Just added the cleanser and moisturizer, both of which are wonderful too.

Pros:

Much cheaper than other acne alternate, works very well.

Cons:

Hmm, can't think of one, besides that it takes time to see full effect. But ya, nothing ever comes instantly.

I've had what my doctor called mild-severe acne since 7th grade. I'm a college freshman right now. I've tried everything: proactiv, acnefree, benzaclin and its many clones. I was even thinking of trying accutane. I was very skeptical of this product at first, however, there was nothing to lose. I applied the full amount at the beginning since my skin was very used to benzoyl peroxide and within a month and a half, my skin was finally clear. And not a moment too soon either! My skin cleared just in time as I was making and meeting new friends and lovely women ;)
