Acne.org : Treatment (Benzoyl Peroxide - 2.5%)

Amazing! Best BPO I've ever tried, and I have tried every strength - 5%, 10%, and Dan's 2.5%. Honestly, Dan's 2.5% works the BEST. It is gentle, and so effective! No harsh additives or any other pore clogging ingredients :)

I always go to this site before I use a product or just to read the forums for advice. Because of this I'm posting my review in the hopes of helping someone else out. This has worked wonders for me. I'm not stranger to BP, I've been using it since I was a teen. Recently I tried a new product and it broke me out REALLY bad. I never used this before even though it's always been something I wanted to order based on the good reviews, but it always seemed pricey and i just ended up using store BP brands. After trying to do damage control after a really bad breakout the store brands weren't working for me and I was desperate so i finally ordered it. Yes it's price but you get the bang for your buck. When I received it I was so surprised on how big the bottle was. It applies like a lotion, which doesn't dry me out as much as other brands. I've tried other lotion like acne products (Acnefree and proactiv repair lotion) and they always make my screen feel really tight. This doesn't at all. I recommend using a moisturizer with this ESPECIALLY if you're new to BP. BP is drying so you need to hydrate your skin to balance it out. I use Cerave, which works for me. I naturally have dry and sensitive skin so it gives me the moisture I need, not sure if it would be too much if you have oily skin. This hasn't completely cured my acne, I have yet to find something that does. But this is the best product I used thus far and for that I'm grateful I finally ordered it. My breakouts have subsided and my acne scars aren't that red anymore. I always wear foundation because of acne and this product has made me feel more comfortable to go without it some days, and that's saying a lot.

Dries out my skin a little bit but works wonders!

I think my acne has improved somehow... Though I still get some bad acne... But the problem is my eyes and the red patch near my eyes... My skin became not only red but also hard!! When I touch the part, I feel like there is another layer on my skin so that my skin sensitivity is less!!! Is this normal...? Please help me. I'm seriously considering stopping regimen... Plus I got wrinkles on my eyes!!! I'm only 21..... Help me please....

I have used this product on and off for about five or six years. The product is one of the best on the market. While it doesn't make my skin 100% clear, it clears about 80-90%. I also notice a huge difference even if I forget to apply it for a day or two. The one HUGE issue I have with this product is the bleaching affect. What you will likely find after you use this is that your shirt collars and towels (if not white) start to bleach. I have had to throw out so many clothing items, including $150 dress shirts because of this. I also will only buy and use white sheets and white towels. If I visit a friend or family member over night, I bring my own towels so I don't bleach theirs. Is it still worth it in my opinion? Absolutely.

Ive had the worst acne since I was 13 years of age. I started to look up different types of acne products and I came across this one. I bought this and it came with the 3 regimen products. I used the products correctly by following the instructions by doing it night and morning. After a week I noticed I was getting acne on different parts of my face that I never got before. I was so dissapointed and frustrated that I was getting acne all over my cheeks and and my forehead and it was so difficult to get rid of. In my experience of using this product it didn't work and it gave me more acne than needed. I strongly do not reccomend this product unless it has worked for you.

I've been using the regimen for a full year now and I went from moderate skin to completely clear and back and forth, once I stop using the Bp my acne comes back

Worth to try it.. but don't except too much. makes skin peels and dry, just not working well.

I used this for a week and my skin broke out like crazy, it was awful. Stopped using it as I have sensitive skin and didn't know if I would be allergic like I am to other acne treating products. What do I do? Is this normal? Should I carry on?
