Pros:

works really well, feels better and absorbs better than Neutragena On the Spot treatment

Cons:

none so far

I used the Neutragena On-the-Spot for a few weeks with great results, now I have been continuing the regimen by using Acne.org Benzoyl Peroxide Treatment for about a week and my skin looks better than it has in years.

Pros:

nice under makeup, helps clear acne, helps prevent acne, no odor, cheap, easy to dispense, good consistency, absorbs into skin quickly.

Cons:

can dry out skin/cause flaky skin even after a month of using it.
still break out a little.

five months ago, using this, i'd be acne free. the problem with me is that as i fight my acne, and i get a hold of better products and form a better regimen to clear my skin, my acne is getting worse. but, i recommend it. works well, not perfectly, as expected. i like it a lot. nice under makeup.

Pros:

Very effective even at just 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. I think the gel formula is absorbed much more into the skin than a thick cream you find at a store.

Cons:

Very slight dryness and flakes but easily controlled by moisturizer.

I've lived with moderate acne since my teens and tried many prescription and non-prescription drugs. This is the best I've found - highly effective with the least side effects of any drug I've tried.

Pros:

Within days of use my skin was totally clear! Also stops zits from comming to the surface.

Cons:

Dry and flakey skin. Also, becareful that it doesn't bleach your pillowcase! I sleep on my side at nite and even though the BP was dry, it ruined it :(

I am so glad I tried this! I have had moderate acne for years and tried retin-a, proactiv, minocycline, orthotricyclen, and EVERYTHING from the drugstore! This is the first thing that ever worked for me! I am so happy and I have only been on the BP for 3 weeks! This is a miracle and I will never give this stuff up! No more wearing tons of makeup yayyyyyy!

Pros:

It spreads easily and penetrates rather well into the skin.

Cons:

It was drying to the face, even though it has 2.5% strength benzoyl peroxide in it. Also, I did get a level of itchiness to my face with this product as well. It does some level of acne control, just not the best.

This product is one that I thought would have worked better than it did. But, I really didn't find it to be really any different than any of the off-the-shelf acne products that you can readily find in the stores. It does provide some level of help to acne prone skin, however I do feel that there are better products out there on the to be used for acne than this one.

Pros:

You don't have to wash it off. Works.

Cons:

You have to wait for it to absorb and make sure it doesn't touch your hair or any piece of fabric.

I used this product a while ago and it did made my skin flaky and it burned just a tiny bit. I stopped for a few months (for no apparent reason), but once I used the regimen again, the burning didn't occur and it cleared up my skin in just two days!

Pros:

Lotion-like consistency, unscented, dries clear, economical, and effective!

Cons:

Dries skin, will bleach fabrics, itching and/or burning sensation on initial use, some patience is required

This product delivers on its promises! I was a Proactiv user for a while, and had good results, but ultimately stopped because it was too expensive. I stumbled on this product looking for something during a *horrible* breakout. It's very much like the Proactive lotion, except cheaper and more effective. When I first used it, it did start burning and made my skin feel itchy. But over the next few applications that feeling went away. And, a good moisturizer is needed as it will dry your skin. (My skin is oily so it's not too bad.) Using an alpha hydroxy cream has also helped. I've also been careful with fabrics as BP tends to bleach them. I saw few results immediately; it took about two weeks for my face to slowly clear up. I've developed my own regimen based on Daniel's and now my skin is the best it's looked in years! I think overall this is a great product.

Pros:

Gets rid of acne and prevents (even if persistent!). Don't have to wash off. It really works!

Cons:

If allergic to benozyl peroxide, you can't use it (my mom had this problem). Hardens into stretchy glue-like stuff on the tip of dispenser so you need to remove the residue before dispensing (doesn't happen on skin).

This thing saved my skin. For best results follow, Dan's instructions. I had these consistent breakouts in between my eyebrows (I looked like I had a unibrow) and on my forehead that would never go away no matter what I did. I was so annoyed that I decided to stick religiously to Dan's regimen with this thing (I used cetaphil cleanser and Neutrogena's combination skin moisturizer instead and it worked fine. Maybe when that runs out, I'll get his stuff). It went away and never came back even when I relaxed the regimen a little. Admittedly when I got lazy, I'd get a breakout or two if I hadn't applied the treatment in awhile, but that was to be expected. But my skin held out for a surprising amount of time before breakouts started coming back. So bottom line. Stick to his regimen if you never want to see a breakout ever.

Pros:

It works, it's affordable

Cons:

same as any benzoyl peroxide

I recently had a very severe breakout. I usually only have mild acne if I'm using benzoyl peroxide, but sometimes I would switch products with poor results. The last time I did this, my acne flared up badly, & nothing I tried in the past was able to control it. I tried going back to Proactiv, Differin, & all natural stuff, but nothing would work this time. My face hurt so badly that even smiling was painful. I didn't want to go anywhere, just because it was so physically painful to wash my face or put on makeup. Then I found this message board, & after reading the info on here for days, I finally decided to try the regimen. It took some time, & some getting used to, but I am completely clear now. Sometimes I will get a pimple or too, but it's because I haven't used it in a few days. This stuff is so much better than Proactiv. Just give it a try & a chance to work. I use everything they sell, and it's all amazing stuff. This is the clearest my skin has been in 15 years. Try it!
