Not worth it
Toothpaste is known to dry out spots however it is probably the worst idea I have ever had. It burns your face and makes your eyes water. It's also not pleasant to take off either and is sticky and annoying. The only benefit it has is that by putting it on your face it prevents you from touching your face and picking it. Overall it's called TOOTHpaste for a reason.

worst thing you can put on your skin

Pros:

can dry out a pimple

Cons:

increases inflamation
damages lipid layer
excessive dryness

first of all it usually contains baking soda, an alkaline substance that compromises the quality of the lipid layer and the integrity of the skin. 3 main ingredients in toothpaste=sodium lauryl sulfate(an alkaline soap), mint(an irritant), and silica(an abrasive). So in a nutshell you are striping your skin of the ability to protect itself from bacteria and using an abrasive substance to make tiny scratches all over your skin and throwing something at it that will irritate the crap out of your skin. the key to good skin is to create a balance. that means use gentle products that wont compromise your skins integrity.

WORST THING EVER.

Pros:

cheap

Cons:

irriation
dryness
redder

One, it will leave your pimple more red than it was. Two, it irritates and burns like crazy. Three, it is hard to get off and when you take it off it irritates the pimple more

Didn't work

Cons:

Drying
Eyes watering

I don't have sensitive skin, yet it still made my face red and my eyes were watering the next day :/ Don't try it for the first time if you have something important to do tomorrow

DO NOT DO THIS!!
My experience with toothpaste was beyond terrible. I've used it before, and nothing happened. Then, the day before my photoshoot, I put it on my cheeks and covered it with a band-aid. Then, in the morning, my face was burnt!! If you have sensitive skin, do not do this... it does not work! It only made things... worse!

I do NOT recommend using toothpaste to get rid of pimples!

Pros:

None

Cons:

Burns
Cold Sensations
IRRITATION!!

So my mother when I was in junior school told me to dap a bit of toothpaste of my pimple and it would go away. So I tried many times over my school years before bed.. and it really does not work.. All it does is irritate the skin and burn and if anything make the pimple more inflamed. Seriously just go out and get a spot treatment, I use 10% Benzoyl Peroxide (really, really small dot of it on my pimple) and for me that works 10x better and faster! Also it does not burn using such a little dot of it... Also it's cheap.. Save your toothpaste for your teeth :P

never again......

Pros:

dries pimple

Cons:

burns, redness, peeling, dryness
bleaches skin
more breakouts

I tried this for my cystic acne awhile back and it caused more cysts wthout realizing it. So I read the ingedients in the toothpaste and saw that it had both of the SLS. Toothpaste slsohas a bleaching agent in it to whiten teeth even if it doesn't say "with whitening product" in it. Therefore it will bleach your skin

do not use toothpaste!

Pros:

none

Cons:

harmful to my skin
made my skin red and irritated

this made my breakouts bigger and irritated. It did not dry out any pimples but instead made them bigger and redder.
