Pros:

Reduces size and redness a lot.

Cons:

Burns a little when first applied.

Works well in conjunction with a face scrub. Just use it as a spot treatment on a zit, leave it overnight, use your face wash/scrub when you wake up to clean it away, use your wash/scrub at night before you apply. Repeat the process!

Great on a blind pimple
I have used toothpaste on a blind pimple. Leave it on overnight. It'll come to a head. If the pus comes out gently push the rest out, but you'll have to get the solid creamy color plug out. If it's not out, the pimple will return again.

Pros:

Soothes skin
Dries up spots
Reduces redness

Cons:

Stings a little
Strong minty smell!

Toothpaste is a good quick fix. It reduces swelling and redness and dries up spots. Do not use near your eyes obviously! Best to use over night. Definitely recommend trying this.

Pros:

Stops pimple from getting bigger and swelling
Cheap
Everyone has it already

Cons:

Stings
Doesn't work on all pimples, only some
can be kind of hard to get off once dried

So I use toothpaste on my zits, and it works fairly well. I take the toothpaste, and then drown my pimple in toothpaste. Lol. I apply the toothpaste at night, and then leave it on while I sleep. The toothpaste may sting a bit in the beginning. Some toothpaste might get on your pillow, but you can wash that off. By morning, the pimple is usually smaller and less red. However, the toothpaste doesn't affect all pimples. Some pimples just stay the same. I've noticed that the toothpaste is more effective on newer pimples just starting to form, than big swollen oily pimples. The bottom line is that toothpaste isn't a miracle cure for your pimples, but for something that is already in your house and extremely cheap, it is definetly worth a try.

Pros:

Cheap
Quick
Smells good
Reduces redness slightly

Cons:

None that I experienced
Possibly dries out skin over time

For all of you skeptics out there (like me) I've heard really bad reviews about toothpaste on zits causing MAJOR inflammation and just overall stinging. I had four little mountains pop up on my forehead overnight and today after school I decided to do a little experimenting. First of all you only need a THIN layer of WHITE toothpaste, not gel! Seriously, within an hour they deflated and now are really not noticeable! I think the redness may have gone down too. I don't think this would be best for everyday use, but its totally fine as a quick fix, just be sure you moisturize! :)

Pros:

dries out acne
easy to use
you've got some in the bathroom already

Cons:

dries out skin
can make skin red
burns a little (I think it feels kinda nice)

I wear this as a spot treatment occationally. I put it on after washing my face in the evening and I wear it all night. I find it helpful - it dries out skin and prevents acne that's forming under the skin from becoming a problem. If I catch a blemish forming under the surface early, this will stop it! However, it dries out skin a lot! don't use more than one or two nights in a row - I made this mistake at first and got horribly dry, red skin. Give it a try, though - you've already got some at home, what do you have to lose? :)

Works for certain people
I have oily skin. The toothpaste is suppose to dry out pimples. If you have dry skin or even normal skin, I don't recommend this. It could make your skin more dry. It has worked for me and my pimples have become less red and shrunken. Only apply a small thin layer.

depends on your skin type
Toothpaste has worked for me, I have normal to oily skin and when I feel a pimple lump I put toothpaste on before bed and by morning the pimple comes out to the surface, then I gently pop the swollen pore, your not suppose to pop pimples, but I know people still go for it. The toothpaste makes it easier to remove the nasty pimple whitehead lump thing without irritating your skin too much. Everyone has different skin maybe it will work if you have my type of skin.
