Pros:

The fact that it's thin actually is a good thing. Cleans skin without being *too* drying. Skin feels very soft and smooth afterwards, without any residue.

Cons:

Can be a little drying.

I'm now using the Trader Joes brand (which is essentially the same thing). I use it once day in the morning and put about 4-5 drops of jojoba oil on my face when I'm out of the shower and my normal oily skin is fine throughout the day. It smells very nice, herbal w/o being feminine. I only use it once a day and I don't know how my face would react if used it as night as well. So far I haven't needed to.

Pros:

smells great, drys my skin and my face is cleaner then before and skin is cleaner... I love it a lot and would recommend for anyone ...

Cons:

At times (depending on the weather) my skin gets to dry, but i don't mind :)

I would totally get this product again if trader Joes has it again for cheap, this face product isn't cheap to me, but i would get it for $4...

Pros:

natural, squeaky clean feeling, cheap (as heck)

Cons:

no "drastic results" like one might see in medicated

I like this product, because it isn't medicated. I'm pretty sure desert essence has redone their whole skin care line and that this wash is now slightly different, and has a matching moisturizer. It makes my skin feel great, and not just clean but healthy. It really got rid of the "hurt" that I have with acne. The moisturizer it comes with has marigold and chamomile which are natural lighteners, good for scarring. If you're looking for a body wash they have this [link removed] It works really well at reducing my oiliness.

Pros:

Cleared blackheads
Face felt cleaner than other natural face washes

Cons:

Caused cystic breakouts
Excessive drying

After reading many great reviews, I gave this a try. My face felt super clean after using and the blackheads on my nose were zapped away within a week. However, my skin became excessively dry (as many have reported) and it wasn't relieved by moisturizer. I also began to get very severe cystic acne. After continued use for 3 weeks, the condition did not improve. I tried Trader Joe's Gentle Spa cleanser and all the con symptoms went away within 2 days. This product didn't work for me, but it may work for you. For $5, it's worth a try.

Pros:

Natural ingredients

Cons:

Too drying
Gave me a rash

Even though I tried not to use this cleanser around my eye area, I was getting a terrible, dry rash there. It cleared up after I stopped using the cleanser (it took me about 2 months to realize what was giving me the rash). I think that this would be a good priduct for some people with oily skin, but you also need to make sure you are not sensitive to Tea Tree Oil. I think that may be what gave me the rash as I have never had success with products containing Tea Tree Oil.

Pros:

Natural, cheap (I bought the 32 oz. bottle for the below listed price)

Cons:

My face never felt clean and made me break out worse than I've ever been since junior high or pregnancy.

I've heard that bladderwrack taken internally can aggravate acne. This product includes bladderwrack- I wonder if it can do the same externally for some people? Also, an awful lot of oils are listed. Shouldn't acne-prone skin steer away from oils? I was hoping for a safe and natural alternative....

Pros:

Excellent control of breakouts

Cons:

None

I use this as a body wash as well as for my face. Especially nice for breakout prone areas on chest, shoulders, and back. Abandonded "Sea Breeze" for this product. Sea Breeze, or any alcohol based product, provides temporary relief but causes breakouts to return in force. Tea Tree oil controls the breakouts and also seems to prevent new breakouts. Great for teens or adults. I only wish they had a less expensive, body wash version, but this one works well for both purposes. Highly recommended!

Pros:

All natural
No parabens
No harsh chemicals
Inexpensive

Cons:

Contains soap
Very thin, liquid consistency

So far, so good. I will continue to try this product, as it does not seem to irritate my skin and does give it a nice dry feeling. I follow it up with an application of a couple drops pure tea tree oil, diluted with water, applied to blemishes using a cotton ball. Then, once dry, I slather on an oil-free moisturizer with SPF 30. So far my skin is recovering nicely from a very annoying hormonal breakout, but I think this face wash could be too drying for everyday use. I have oily skin, but this is excessive. I also know it is not recommended to use "soap" on the face. I also purchased a very gentle, all natural, Vitamin C and E based cleanser to alternate with this one to reduce the drying on my skin. It seems like a great option for those of us who do not want to wash our faces with artificial, harsh chemicals and parabens. I recommend this, with some hesitations about its astringency, to those with oily skin and a love of natural products.

Pros:

Gives a very fresh, clean feeling

Cons:

Smell isn't bad, just different
Too drying for me :(

Overall, I really liked this product, but alas, it gave me very tiny bumps on my cheeks. Reason: my skin is sensitive and this dried it out. Which is a shame, because I loved the squeaky clean feeling it gave. If you have sensitive skin, might not be your best bet. But otherwise, I'd give it a try.
