Pros:

Works fast
Shrinks even the deep cystic pimples
Leaves face feeling smooth
Inexpensive
Clears black heads that my normal soap leaves behind

Cons:

Smells like sulfur but it's really not that bad

If you want an inexpensive product that you don't need a prescription for that works this is it. I use it 3 times a week at night with a witch hazel solution and a benzoyl peroxide cream. I had the deep cyst acne, the kind that is underneath the skin that never comes to a head, within two days of using this product the pimples had shrunk and were barely noticeable.

Pros:

Helps acne SOOO much, my skin is so much better from using this product.
Its cheap and can be found almost anywhere

Cons:

I have to use it everyday, and for about an hour each time. Most days i use it twice

This product is one of the best i have ever used. I use this along with netregena kit, i only use the cleanser and acne control lotion from it. As a mositizer i use pro active green tea. All of these products have almost completly cleared my acne. They are AMAZING

Pros:

Shrinks the pimples over night

I use it every other day and leave it on for ten minutes...does wonders...in two days my skin went from having over ten pimples all red and painful over my cheeks and chin to having them flat and no more pain. I recommend it to whoever suffers with acne...the first product in four years that I try that actually gave me results instead of dissapointment

Pros:

OTC
Not too expensive
Seems to help!

Cons:

Slighty funny smell

I've been using this product for a couple months now and it seems to really be helping. I'll use it as a whole-face mask about once a week. Whenever I have a troublesome "spot", I'll put a dab on and leave it overnight. It doesn't make the pimple *magically* go away, but it does seem to make it smaller. I'm 43 and have hormonally induced adult acne which can get really depressing sometimes. (I never broke out this bad when I was a teenager!!) But if I stay very regular with my skincare routine, I can keep the acne spots down to a dull roar most of the time.

Pros:

Seems to help bring heads down more quickly and decrease the size of heads if applied before the become heads.

Cons:

Doesn't completely clear heads overnight. I use it part to aid clearing process as well as prevention as it seems that my skin is allergic to benzoyl peroxide.
I wish that it had no fragrance. Companies can put whatever they want under the term "fragrance". Look it up, it is true.

I have been using this for several weeks. Originally, I only used on acne spots overnight, as it was too drying to use otherwise. However, since I have started using only this, Castile soap, Clarisea scrub and salts, and a sulfur soap I have been able to use it on spots and once a week as an overall face mask, concentrating on my most acne-prone areas. My skin has been clearing up, I have a lot of hyper-pigmentation from break outs over several months, but only have 2 larger and a few smaller 'active' pimples now.

Pros:

Shrinks pimples, gets rid of blackheads and reduces redness. Makes skin feel smooth and gives a very fresh and clean feeling

Cons:

Can make face feel dry and must use a minimum amount or face will feel extremely stiff and irritating

When I first started using this it would really dry out my face, so I had to regulate it. For some reason now it doesn't dry my face out at all and I use it everyday after a shower. Immediately after I step out of the shower I put it on because the hot water from the shower really opens pores. I try to put a minimum amount on because if there's too much your face it can be so irritating it's almost painful. Since my face is still wet from the shower the mask disappears on my face and reappears after the water has evaporated off my skin. I can leave this mask on for 2 hours, forget about it and still wash it off with my skin looking very even and smooth. After I wash the mask off and let my face dry I put witch hazel on my face with a cotton ball that sort of "seals" my skin into a very nice healthy surface. I can't live without this stuff and it's an absolute must have for me. It's always gone off the shelves where I live and the last time I replenished the supply (today haha) I went to two stores and only Rite Aid had two left and I snatched them and high-tailed it outta there.

Pros:

-shrinks down even the largest of pimples!!
-makes skin smooth!
-a little goes a long way!

Cons:

-i only use it as a spot treatment and leave it on over night, because if i put it all over my face it sort of dries it out!
-smells strange, but i'll deal with it!
-little blue beads in it are sometimes hard to rub in completely so the mask will start working, it just takes some time it get it perfect but i still love this!

overall, i really do love this product!! i used to own proactiv when i was younger and overall hated it, but the one thing that i really loved about that system was the free sulfer mask they gave to you as an overnight spot treatment, because it actually worked! but since i stopped purching the system, i eventually ran out of the sulfer mask! so i was at my local pharmacy one day and spotted this on the shelf, and decided to give it a try. i originally put it on after i got out of the shower as an entire face mask and left it on for about thirty minutes (required amount is only about 10-15 minutes, but you could go longer!) and when i washed it off, the two or three zits i had from my menstration cycle reduced dramatically and it made my skin really soft and it just made it feel really fresh and clean! i was truely impressed! now i typically just use it as an over night spot treatment and wash it off in the morning, and i'm good! oh, and i've had this for several months (5-6) and i'm still on my first bottle due to only using it as a spot treatment! so give it a try, it works wonders! :-)

Pros:

- Minimizes pimples
- Makes face feel fresh and clean
- Leaves me with a smile on my face when I am done using it
- AWESOME Spot (or 'splotch') treatment (i shall explain below)

Cons:

- Does dry out the skin, but nothing a little moisturizer can't fix :)
- It smells a little, but really people it isn't bad. As long as you wash it off and put moisturizer, you are fine

So I am on a mission to get clear skin and I decided to try this cuz I was sensitive to benzoyl peroxide and I heard some not to pretty things about salicylic acid.Got it at Walmart for $8 for a 1.7 oz bottle and although it sounds like a rip off, a little does go a long way! I sometimes use this as a mask for my whole face (like once a week), but nowadays I am using it every night as a splotch treatment (instead of spot). My regimen is that at night I wash my face with soap (preferably Venus de Milo Beauty bar or Dove, but currently I had to resort to using cheap Irish Spring, but is has aloe in it so that is a plus) using a cotton ball to remove dirt and such. Then I use honey as moisturizer by putting honey all over my face splashing one handful of water and pat dry. (I need the extra moisture cuz I have dry skin) Then I apply the sulfur on the parts of my face that has the most concentrated pimples, making 3 splotches - a part of my forehead, and the sides of my cheeks. I sleep with it and when I wake up I wash it off with the aid of some soap (without cotton ball) and my face feels fresh and my small pimples are gone and the bigger ones have significantly reduced. Then I add honey as moisturizer and I am on my way to school, work, where ever! Bottom line is that yes, I recommend this product for those who suffer from moderate acne and can't use b.p. cuz it is so irritating!!! Also, I recommend using these type of things at night only because that is when your face is regenerating itself when you are sleeping. Also, eating fruits is important too in getting good skin! Good luck and God bless! :)
