Pros:

Gentle, fragrance free, inexpensive, really works

Cons:

None

At 40 years old I started having severe cystic breakouts along my jawline, the side of my cheeks and occasionally around my mouth. After googling 'acne' a million times trying to find answers, I clicked on this site that kept coming up and started reading. I was skeptical, but had nothing to lose. If I had before and after photos to show I would! This has been a miracle really, I am so grateful to Dan. I nave never written a review on anything, but I feel this is so important! The regimen works!

Pros:

easy to use
showed results in 2 weeks!
it works!

Cons:

NONE!

so it has been 1 month since i have started using the regimen and holy crap! it really does work! i first discovered this product by watching some of my favorite youtube beauty gurus and thought what the heck ill give it a try. i have tried so so so soooo MANY products throughout my life since i was in 8th grade and just decided to give up because none of them were working. i lost hope trying to cure my acne. i am now 22yrs old and i have now found my holy grail for acne! i have used products ranging from proactive, neutrogena, clean&clear, acne free, dermalogica, and Obagi acne products and NONE worked. i am so glad that i decided to try The Regimen because i was reluctant at first, but i got results within 2 weeks! even people at school were noticing that my skin seemed more smoother and clearer. of course they asked what i did and i said "go to acne.org!" haha. the only downfall is that it makes my face dry and flaky (i have an oily face), but thats what i expected because thats what the info said that it will do. another is that it is time consuming with the wait in between the products to apply them, but hey The Regimen works best if you wait for each product to completely dry to apply the next one. now my only problem is my acne scars. anyways, thanks Dan!

Pros:

Actually works!

Cons:

Extreme dryness at first and flakes.

I have been using the Regimen for approximately 4 months, and I can't tell you how happy I am with the Acne.org products. Like most people, I've tried many different acne products, and none seemed to really work all that effectively. I've never had severe acne, but when I got into my twenties, I started having persistent breakouts that just wouldn't clear up. I did a lot of research on the Regimen before trying it and was really concerned about the harsh effects of the benzoyl peroxide. Let me just say that when you first start the Regimen, you will have a really hard time. It's no picnic or walk in the park. If your acne is anything like mine, it will become worse before it gets any better... And this worsening process will take place AFTER the first week or so you start using the BP. It takes several days for the dryness to set in. Follow the Regimen instructions EXACTLY until at least month three. After month three, I started changing up my morning Regimen use. Here are some of my tips to make the process easier. Go SLOW with the BP. Let your skin get adjusted. Go ahead and buy the Jojoba Oil and AHA. You won't need the AHA right away, but the product is SOOOO helpful for flaking later on. Use as much moisturizer as possible at night (2 pumps or more of Dan's moisturizer). Don't touch your face! Your skin will be more susceptible to injury when using the BP. What I'm trying to say is, don't mash your face because it will leave after marks that take at least a week to go away. Be consistent. Consistency is so critical for this to work. If you wear makeup, find something that goes well with the BP. I think liquid foundation is better, but that is just my opinion. (I like Revlon Colorstay) Other than that, keep reading the reviews and the forums from Acne.Org. They help so much. Oh, and keep this in mind...once you're clear, it is the best confidence booster you can imagine. The few weeks of sacrifice is by far worth the results.

Pros:

Smoother and healthier looking skin, smaller pores, getting acne under control

Cons:

Bleaching towels and clothing

The regimen really works! I'm one of the hundreds that have tried everything under the sun from taking recommendations from friends, family, and professionals and using promising acne gadgets that always failed to keep my skin under control. The first couple weeks is hard, but as you push through with optimism that the regimen will work, it will work. I've been on the regimen for 5 months, and I'm loving the results! Clearer and smoother skin. And acne scarring slowly but surely going away. I don't think I can live without this regimen.

Only Product That Has Worked
Out of the thousands of treatments for acne that I have tried first-hand, only Acne.org has resulted in lasting results where my skin has been clear. I went through steroid shots, chemical peels, thousands of face-washes and more, and none of them have worked. I normally do not write product reviews, but this was so effective that I was forced into action. A huge thank you to acne.org.

Works!
This is a review of the acne.org regimen INCLUDING the AHA moisturizer. I am 44 yrs old. I have struggled with non-inflammatory acne (blackheads & whiteheads) since I was 16. I also have anti aging concerns as well - i.e. fine lines, uneven skin tone and texture. I was exhausted trying to combat BOTH of my skincare issues effectively! Enter acne.org. I had serious reservations using BPO on my 44 yr old skin as I "heard" it would kill healthy skin cells along with acne causing bacteria. Absolutely not true! Benzoyl peroxide in a 2.5% concentration will indeed kill acne bacteria, and will not damage skin cells at all. My skin has never, I mean never looked better in my life!! My routine follows Dan's regimen 100% accurate to his instructions. I use the AHA Moisturizer 3-4 nights per week after my BPO soaks in. I LOVE this moisturizer. It makes my skin soooo smooth and bump free! Thank you Dan for such amazing and affordable skin care for those of us with acne AND those of us with acne PLUS aging concerns. It's great for both :)

Will never go back
Well, let me start by saying that I'm a 23 year old female and I have had acne since I was about 9 (around the time I got my first period). I also have a skin picking condition that I'm sure many of you are familiar with (dermatillomania) where I compulsively pick my skin, not just acne but everywhere. So the road has been long. I've never had really severe cystic acne (but I do often get cysts), however I had/have moderate acne made much worse by hours spent picking at my face daily. I got bullied very severely for my face in elementary and middle school so believe me when I say I've tried everything to get rid of acne. Oxypads, accutane, antibiotics, proactiv, all the drugstore regimens, Clinique, baking soda, lemon juice, plain water... You name it, I've tried it. Since high school, I was teetering between "screw it I give up cause nothing will work on my face" and "screw it I'll try anything because I have nothing to lose". About 5 months ago, I took the plunge and ordered the acne.org regimen. I've known about it forever but was reluctant to try it because I just figured it would either work for a week and stop working or not work at all like all the other things I tried. Let me tell you, if I had pictured myself going in public without a full face of makeup 5 years ago I likely would have laughed at myself and then cried at the thought of it. I never wear makeup now. I will never stray from this product. That being said, it has had its ups and downs and now I'm in a good place and have found a routine that works for me. - In the first month, it was amazing. It cleared my skin so quickly I thought I was in a dream. - End of the first month, the flakes started coming. Let me tell you, this was a bit of a nightmare. I kept reading reviews saying that they go away after several weeks and they seemed to be getting worse for me. My skin was so scaly and just covered in tiny tiny flakes that I couldn't get off. I had to moisturize multiple times a day. But I was still clear of acne. Also keep in mind I likely started with too much BP because I have used it before and I know my skin can handle it. So I recommend you follow the directions strictly. - About 2 months in, I tried the AHA. I'll just be short and sweet and say it's not for me. I used tiny amounts and my face looked and felt like it was going to burn right off. It also had no benefit that I could see. So I just stopped using it. - Cue cetaphil moisturizer + jojoba oil. One time I was at work and my skin was SO dry and I had no moisturizer on me so I ran to the drugstore next to my work and grabbed cetaphil lotion randomly which I had never tried (why I do these things I don't know). It felt thick and I didn't like it as much as the acne.org moisturizer but it was better than nothing. I put the cetaphil away that night kept using the regimen as it is (with a few drops of jojoba oil in the moisturizer). Then one night I ran out of acne.org moisturizer (and of course because I'm stupid, I didn't order more so I had none coming). My face was still insanely flakey so I said what the hell, let's try this cetaphil again. - And here we are 5 months later, happy and satisfied. The cetaphil is a bit greasy but you need that thick lotion to combat the drying from the BP. Even if you have oily skin, believe me.... The BP will dry you out. I was very surprised at that. However, with the cetaphil my face is still clear but I only have to moisturize morning and night. No flakes. - Of course, me, being stupid, I had to try and fix something that works wonderfully. A few days ago, I didn't want to pay shipping on cleanser (I live in Canada) so I thought hey I'll try one of the other cleansers Dan recommends! I tried Olay foaming facial cleanser and pretty much overnight I broke out bad. I ordered the acne.org cleanser right away and once I got back on my I routine, I was clear again. So I will never stray. Acne.org cleanser and BP + cetaphil moisturizer with a drop of jojoba oil is my holy grail regimen. My skin has never looked like this except when I was a little kid. Another trick I use now: on a popped pimple, blister band aids or polysporin ointment instead of letting it scab up. Heals it up SO much quicker and you don't get in the cycle of picking, forming a scab, picking the scab, etc. I never review products but I'm so happy with this and with my recent cleanser fiasco, I finally realized that this is for sure THE product for me. Tl;dr. It works. If you've tried everything and nothing has worked and you're willing to give up OR try anything at this point, just try it.

amazing results in little time!
I had very bad acne for a few months so after reading a few reviews I decided to go ahead and purchase this set. Honestly, that was the best decision I could've made. I have been using this for three weeks now (along with face peels every other week) and I can say that my skin is SO much better! I went from constant breakouts all over my cheeks, forehead, and chin to a few pimples every now and then. It has even helped me cure some of my body acne! I was one of those people who wanted to see immediate results and looking back that is exactly what I got. On the downside, The Regimen is very harsh so it will be a short term treatment for me. Also, the benzoyl peroxide made my skin dry and a weird texture despite the fact that the moisturizer is very strong but that is just a small price you have to pay for the results.

As long as you stick with the regimen and follow the directions - it will work!
I typically don't write reviews but, I feel so compelled to do so because the regimen is soooo effective! My acne began after I gave birth to my son and worsened as I used make up to cover it up. My advice would be to follow the directions on acne.org and stick to it! I would also recommend using very little benzo peroxide when first starting because I used too much and my face was extremely dry, itchy, and flaking. NOT FUN. I started the regimen in april and I wanted to give up after a month or so because new pimples erupted on my face! But this is NORMAL. Thank God I stuck through it because now (june) my face is clear! I used all drug store products. I lovvvve the results and I urge you to try it AND STICK TO IT! ☺☺☺
